Used to cover a laminate bedroom set. Make sure you use one layer of Kilz before applying the chalk paint. Laminate is not the same as wood.

What I did with chalk paint

I bought this paint in dark denim to refinish a changing table/dresser for a nursery. It was easy to work with and came out great!

I used white chalk paint on the top cabinets and dragonfly color on the bottom. I could not be happier with the end result. in addition the hardware and backsplash made the look complete

Paint goes on with gritty finish and matte sheen.

It was far from black! It was gray!

We used the color Surf on this once brown wood entertainment center. One qt did the whole thing, however I did leave it where the brown showed through a tiny bit to give it a rustic vibe. Love the color, and texture! Definitely will be buying this product for other projects!

Funny when I started looking into chalk paint, I read everything about it - EVERYONE needs to do that. Years ago I mixed my own color, painted a bathroom tower and then used wax on it. Yes WAX seals the chalk pained and goes on very smoothly and dry invisible - if you get clear. Then I decided to dress up my mirror for the master, had the mirror, bought the appliqué and wood decal, as well as hardware and went to work. Cooper underneath and farmhouse white in outside distressed and wax on top. Moved onto Chins cabinet in dining room , farmhouse white, distressed and waxed. All of these items were previously painted, stained or had clear coat on them. THAT IS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF CHALK PAINT... no sanding, no priming, no stripping - nothing you paint over without all that other crap - that is why it is so great. But you must use the wax. Now, I am painting my already stained door and window trim white and that is coming out fabulous as well. If anyone is still struggling, I suggest you read up on this paint, how to use it abs what it’s used for because - no one should have issues using this.

First time painting furniture and it was a success!

Cotton Knit Is a very soft off white color. You must use stain blocking primer prior to use, or you will absolutely have bleed through. It takes several coats for full coverage but it still goes a long way - was able to use one can on a Secretary desk and two nightstands with product left over (at least 4 coats used in each). I prefer behr chalk paint to all the others out there due to the lower price, extensive color selection and smoothness of the finish.

I'm very pleased with the way my storage shelf laminate came out - it looks like a new piece of furniture. The cabinet was white laminate. So I used the Behr Chalk Chocolate Swirl Interior Chalk decorative paint as a primer - I waited 24 hours and then used Behr Ultra Scuff Defense / Ultra Interior Satin Enamel - Brown Velvet

I bought the very navy chalk paint for crafting projects and I love it! The quality is nice and it’s super easy to use. Love the way the very navy looks!

I ised this on an old huch. Distressed with black wax. I used peel and stick tiles in the back. I love the way it turned out. I am going to pi t my kitchen cabinets this same way

I am very fond of Behr's chalk paint. I love the smooth feel. This lady bug red ended up looking a little to orange for me. To make it darker and a bold red like in the color example photo I used dark wax. It ended up working great and the color turned out perfect.

This paint goes on smoothly and covered in one coat. It was not quite the color I expected. I ordered undersea which looks like a deep green and the color I got was a deep navy. It was still beautiful! I used this paint in another color for a different project and it was exactly the color I expected!

This paint is my absolute, all-time favorite for DIY projects! So far I have refinished two furniture pieces and this chalk paint was an absolute star. I used the shade farmhouse white to paint both my old hutch as well as a small floor cabinet; both pieces were originally brown wood, and with some light sanding, this white was able to cover opaquely in 2-3 coats! I am so incredibly impressed and will absolutely be purchasing Behr’s chalk paint in the future for more DIY projects!

I am in love with this chalk paint. I do not have to rep cabinets or furniture to use it. I also use the Rustolium water based floor finish in Satin. No need for touch up a year later.

Love using this paint for all my projects

Had my local hd color match the chiffon creme from rustoleum and it goes as good if not better and distressed really well!

I am so happy with this chalk paint! Fantastic price and quality. The best feature though is that you can get it tinted any color you want. The paint is very smooth and doesn’t show brush strokes.

Great product to work with. I used it to paint my piano. It is a very forgiving paint to use and goes on great with minimal prep work.

The best chalk paint I’ve ever used! Super easy to apply (I used a 4 inch foam roller) and very forgiving of the piece of furniture and the painter! Highly recommend!

This paint goes on thick and two coats is perfect coverage. Best part is no sanding required! Just paint and seal with the wax. Little goes a long way, still so much paint left. Gave new life to some old pieces I had! Can’t wait for next project.
