Used to seal concrete stairs & porch after recementing. Adhere well & the member that helped me with color matched the color perfectly to blend in same color as foundation. I will be buying more of this product for remaining foundation work.

Great primer before painting my shed floor with porch and patio gray

Used it on some stained and varnished doors but didnt bind properly. Takes more than one coat to block stains but didnt block all stains.

Bought a gallon to primer and paint doors. Opened up the can and it was completely separated with a layer of semi solid material at the bottom. No amount of mixing with a paint mixer and drill got it to consistency even after 5 minutes at full speed. Also Lays down ultra thin so impossible to build up layers. Never should have bought it. Would have been worth driving the extra hour to get Sherwin Williams primer.

It was ok. Definitely need to apply 2 coats.

like many other one star reviews, after several months (not days or weeks), primed walls still "feel" a little tacky and not dry after two months. tried masking a small portion of the ceiling that has this primer on first, then Behr ceiling paint on top. Ceiling was primed and painted over 2 months ago. Pulled green tape off after 10 seconds to readjust and and either Behr paint pulled away from Behr primer or both came off from the bare joint compound. Does not seal plaster/joint compound. Use a quality PVA instead of this.

Used on new veneer plastered walls and ceilings in my new above garage master bed/bath/office suite addition. Also on partially plastered (seams & screw holes) blueboard walls/ceiling in my garage which were fire taped for code/safety. Prior to painting I used heavy duty fans to assist in the drying of the plaster for 1-2 weeks before applying this primer. I did 2 coats everywhere. This primer went on easily and adhered to the plaster walls way better than I expected. Would and will use again.

Great primer, covers nicely even with just one layer, much better with two. Basically, no-odor which makes the job much manageable and easier, dries fast and the white in it is as beautifully bright as the white paint. Very happy with this primer.

I've used this # 436 Primer for years on various applications, and am amazed at how well it adheres. I once applied it to (plastic) house wrap that I had used temporarily on a leaky roof. The primer was still adhering when I removed the wrap 2 years later. For another application where the final colour was to be a middle grey, I got Home Depot to tint the batch a light grey (as dark as they would tint it). The can label used to say "Exterior"; this latest one now says "Interior/Exterior". Only complaint: The label's safety and usage directions are in a small font that's hard to read. Improvement sorely needed.

For the most part cover over my God awful stripes. But used a lot more primer than anticipated to cover them. Some places you can still see shadow of them 17 foot area took 2/3 of a gallon. Said usage should be 250 - 400 sq ft.

Rolled on great with excellent coverage.

I painted 186 feet of 6 foot high block wall surrounding my property using a brush and roller to get a heavy coat that would last. This paint covered real well on this course block only taking about 13 gallons in total.

This white primer with its stain blocking and sealing power did the trick. After multiple children and more years of food stains, which “somehow” got on the walls, we needed something more than ordinary paint for the walls. The primer went on and stayed on the walls allowing me to paint a new fresh color in the kitchen. We no longer see the stains, only the texture which came through nicely

Primed a difficult surface and blocked some tough stains.

Used this over a basement foundation block wall with a fiber reinforced coating (Silpro's FSB is the absolute best version of this product, BTW, while twice the cost of Sakrete or Quickwall it is easier to apply and much harder when cured). The wall had been patched so it was rough in many places.BUT IT WAS GREY and is about to become my pottery studio. A single coat of this primer already transformed the space amazingly despite the unevenness of the coating. It has minimal odor, and with a 3/4 nap roller went on well. Dries fast too. The roughness of my walls required a lot of back-rolling, and I was tempted to put on a second coat and call it done. Reading the questions about leaving the primer without a topcoat deterred me - it was suggested that it will hold dirt & dust, and be harder to clean than a paint with some sheen. Behr does not recommend leaving it without a finish coat either. I had no problems with cleanup - warm water and dish soap with a painters cleanup comb/brush worked just fine. In fact if you invest in some orange turpenes (food grade) it cleans all paints off skin without problems and no chemical exposure.

Behr paints are great. I used to use another brand before I moved to GA in 2002. Since then, I have used Behr paints exclusively on two houses; Interior and exterior.

I did the first coat with brush and rollers. 2nd coat went on real smoothly with paint sprayer.

Is a primer fir exterior and interior. I recommend it to anyone I know or works cause I'm a painter contractor. And I only use that primer

I used a gallon of this primer on my new cedar corner boards that I replaced on my house and the quality, compared to other primers that I have used in the past was exceptional. I like that I only needed to apply it once on a new cedar board.

Product covered well and was easy to apply. It meets all my expectations and my chickens really love their new red coop.

Best latex primer out there. Incredible bonding and sealer. It’s the only primer I use for both inside and outside projects.
