Highly recommend! I purchased this to seal/finish a decorative item that I'd painted at one of those "craft day out" type places. I wanted it to still look rustic but be sealed. The wax went on very easily with a lint-free white cloth (also purchased at THD); it dried quickly, and buffed up to a satin, not shiny, finish. After just one thin coat, I tested it by dribbling a bit of water on the surface and it beaded up and ran right off....just what I'd hoped!

I have started painting furniture with Behr chalk paint , and then sealing them with this clear wax. easy to use, pleasant smell. works great. just keep out of hot garage if your going to use it, it gets too soft then. if you see white clumps after you put it on and it dries, just buff off.

I read different ways to apply this wax over chalk paint - with a brush, with a rag, side to side, circular motion.... I first applied it with a rag side to side on a dining room table, i came back after it was dry (about an hour), buffed it out and it looked streaky and horrible. I then applied another coat in a circular motion with a rag and let it sit for 8 hours and then buffed it out again and this time it looked much better. It definitely gave my table a sheen, and I'm not sure I liked it. But without the wax, every fingerprint and scuff showed up on the chalk paint. I will wait a few weeks to see how I like it - the wax can easily be removed with mineral spirits and can be repainted if I want to do that.

Works well. Recommends to do clear wax under if you don’t want too much white. Or if you do want a lighter white washed look then ok to use the white wax directly on the paint.

Used this to distress a black mirror that we painted white. Applied on top of clear wax and it worked beautifully. Goes on dark, and dries quickly so be sure not to apply to too big of an area and spread it out evenly. Then wipe with a lint free rag to lighten and smooth out the wax. This wax really makes grain pop out, but, be aware, it will also make your swirl or scuff marks (from sanding) pop as well.
