Great color and easy application.

Bought a quart to stain a portion of fence, it turned out excellent.

We purchased a 5 gal bucket (pricey). We put the first coat on an I was feeling iffy that there was quite a lot of blue coming though, not as much gray. 2nd coat and now it’s even more blue. And now 3 days later and the entire deck is tacky!!! After all the hours of pressure washing, sanding and staining now we have to fix the tackiness, I’m completely saddened, not happy and I’m not about to strip my entire deck to try again. Ugh I just don’t know what to do!

Just finished painting the railings and deck on my porch. Prepped as instructed on the can ( very labor intensive). This product was very hard to work with. It is thick and prone to dripping. Keeping a wet edge as instructed is very challenging as it sets quickly. I think this is an epic fail along the lines of Home Depots Deck All product. I am hanging on to the cans and receipts as I expect this product will fail in a year or two despite the cleaning , sanding etc that I had to do.

this is a great stain by behr. this product applies easily. Painted our horizontal fence with 2 coats and now it looks brand new!

Went on smooth, just the right amount of tint on hard maple I used in a Radio Flyer rebuild

Top quality stain and consistent color match on 5 gallon and 1 gallon purchases. We used 13 gallons on our 28x36 timber frame barn rough shiplap pine. The pine sucked in the 1st coat and the 2nd coat went on nice and smooth giving a nice protective coat to our exterior. The Bordeaux color was perfect for our full sun area and we receive complements everyday on the color. We have always had very good luck with Behr stains. The color looks even better in person :)

I JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH MY NEW FENCE. THE COLOR IS FABULOUS AND IT SCREAMS CLASS. NEVER WILL I BE ABLE TO LOVE ANY COLOR EVER AGAIN!!!! SLATE HAS RUINED ME. BUY THIS AND FALL IN LOVE.

This had to be done at the store, because they only had a gallon size, and I needed a quart. The clerk did amazing, and got exactly what I needed. It has enough tint to cover the more damaged areas of wood, and add a layer of protection for weather.

Cleaned the deck following the directions. Then put down 2 coats of solid stain. The deck is 40 yrs old it now looks 100% newer.

This will be a just finished review. Went on way and covered well. Didn't stretch to 400 Otherwise beautiful color

Our deck is 25 years old but fencing and rails are new. We used the solid chocolate on deck floor and semi-transparent chocolate on fence and rails.. It covered beautifully. We used a sponge applicator that made applying so quick and easy. My only complaint is that solid stain on our old deck floor and the chocolate semi-transparent on the new fence and rails don't really match. Solid has a reddish hue, the semi-transparent is more brown. Doesn't match perfectly but I can live with it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Can’t speak to the quality since we just stained our deck but we love the color. We stained our deck that we’ve had for 5 years and haven’t touched. We chose the color slate for our treated lumber deck after pressure washing it. We used a pad applicator.

I used this same Brand and type of Stain 4 years ago to cover 35+ year old wood decking. The sun beats down directly on the wood. One re-coating of stain this year and it looks new again.

5 yrs ago bought $1500 worth, stained 250 ln ft new fence 2x both sides. 1st year 50-60 spot touchups, 2nd yr 25% restain, 3rd yr half restain. 4 yrs looks like fence of abandoned lot, but I was laid off in Covid-19 layoffs so no money. This year I have to entirely strip fence and apply new product. If you think Behr is quality brand, think again. Weeks of labor wasted, not factoring what's to come. Do you want to be in my shoes?

CR rated this highly. I used it on my deck in Springfield, KY to mfr rec'd preps. It didn't last a year before peeling. I saw warnings about this problem, but thought it was a prep/app problem. Starting over with another product. Will it be any better? Doubtful it could be any worse. The expense of the stain ($113.94) and 20 man hours of prep and application amounted to a small fortune. Behr "Premium" needs to be renamed Behr "Peeling Crap". I used Behr Premium for this project.

The product is definitely grey and when applied is quite dark. But as it dries over redwood the grey seems to fade and a rich brownish hue appears with soft undertones of red (naturally from the wood) which I think adds dimension to the overall look.

Coverage was excellent.

We wanted a stain that would darken our redwood fences but still bring out some of their natural color and grain. This is a pricey product, but worth it. Very easy to apply and the end result is just what we wanted. Added some photos from the project.

Went with a Solid Tugboat color and very happy with the end results on our deck. Used 2 coats and both coats went on smoothly by roller and back brushing. Will use the same on our fence and hopefully it will hold up close to the 10 years it says.

This Staind is very expensive. It is garbage. After two years it was already peeling and wearing off on the front steps. We took it back to the store and it was not guaranteed for decks or stairs. It says right on the guaranteed for 8 years. Would not replace it or refund our money. Now we have to redo this every single year. Please do not buy this horrible stain.

Great coverage, cleanup and color! Recommend!

Easy to install with a garden sprayer. Makes our old fence look like new. Color is not orange but more on the brown side. Where I recently replace some of the fence planks you can see that those planks did not take the stain as well. We back rolled immediately after spraying to remove any drips and runs. Saved us over $17,000 by not installing a new vinyl fence!

We really like this stain. I ordered the 5 gallon bucket online and it arrived within a week. It provides a very good sealer coat while adding the desired color to our deck. The deck was built last year and allowed to season for a year before we stained it. I also stained some 23 year old deck boards that had been resurfaced and though that wood was a lot drier, it created a very similar seal coat on the surface. Love the color and would highly recommend this product to anyone staining a wood deck! 3 photos' attached - one shows the deck partially stained so you can see how the raw boards(unstained) soak up the water, but the stained boards repel it. The cat condo roof has the 23 year old re-purposed boards that were also stained and look great. The third photo is the floor boards, fully stained and in use. I've tried many deck stains over the years and I believe this to be one of the best out there. I think it should hold up well and believe it is well worth the price.

I bought this product thinking it would be a good color to re stain and seal my wood carving. All the old stain was completely gone. I power washed the carving prior and let it dry for two weeks. I applied two coats of this stuff and my pine carving is yellow. It’s not close to the advertised color expected on pine. Not a happy customer

WE bought this for our large wood deck in rural upstate NY where we face a large envelope of weather conditions year-round. Not only does it apply easily and looks great, it withstands the harsh seasons we endure here for longer than most other similar products last.

Looks abaolutley NOTHING like the images promise and behaves nothing like the directions say. The pictures make this look like a nearly black color. But it is a watery light grey after 2 coats. It is also un-returnable so its a complete waste of time and money
