My planter bricks date back to 1949. They're faded, have a few paint drips and even tire tread marks, but have held-up quite well. So, I checked Home Depot's options for sprucing them up, as that would be less expensive than replacing the bricks altogether.
I scrubbed the bricks clean with vinegar, but was unable to get all the paint drips and tire marks out completely.
However, even tho' this stain has some transparency, it came out more than perfect for me. The bricks are looking so new again, I'm actually hoping the sun will fade the stain a little.
I'm writing this one day after staining. If time affects this stain in a bad way, I'll be back to warn you.
I've uploaded a photo of my project so you can compare the stained bricks on the left with the untreated bricks on the right.
I bought two different color thinking I was wrong but not, the color of the bottle or the flyers display was so different

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the colors purchased seem different! I recommend comparing the physical swatch in our Concrete & Wood Floor Coatings brochure to the dried stain dab on the lid of your can. If they match, the color is correct. When working with multiple cans, it's also best to intermix them to ensure a uniform color. If the color swatch and stain dab don't match up, the color may have been mixed incorrectly, and we recommend continuing your project with the right color. We'd be happy to assist you further. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you! - Sara

Good Stain For Driveway
I originally applied this stain on my driveway (2 coats) and walkway 2 years ago after acid washing and pressure washing. It went on very easily and lasted well except for a couple of spots on some new concrete that pealed off because of RV tires. I recently put on two more coats and it came out fantastic. I changed the lines in the driveway and walkway to a darker shade which looked much better than the lighted stain before. I used the English Brick on the large areas and the Natural Henna on the lines.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in Iowa and each year the winter is tough on everything! So I put a new coat of Saltillo Tile color Behr Semi Transparent Concrete Stain on. I put on knee pads and use a roller/ trim brush and get er' done. Beautiful afterwards next to the pool.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product about 3 weeks ago. I prepared my surface according to the directions on the can and applied it and was very happy with the results. I flowed on very easily and filled in the cracks I had and when dry, it looked just perfect! I will certainly use it on the next house rehab that I do!
After much comparison and shopping around we purchased Behr Semi- transparent concrete stain after having good luck with their other products. All the directions were followed for application and curing, but we are now finding that the stain is not the least bit durable to the elements. We live in Minnesota and the ice is pulling most of the color right up. This is the first season, so I would expect more from this considering all the work it took to apply and the price for the product. It looked great, but if it does not last, then that os worth nothing. Very disappointed. I will be posting in social media to for-warn others

Thank you for reviewing Behr Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain. I'm very sorry to hear about the adhesion issue experienced, as it isn't typical or what we want our customers to go through. I understand how disappointing this must be, and I want to find a way to help.
The remaining stain can be removed with a stain stripper, power washer, or sander. For best results when staining concrete, we recommend etching with something like muriatic acid until the surface feels like 150-grit sandpaper. Higher porosity should allow the stain to penetrate better for longer-lasting results.
I have emailed you directly and look forward to assisting you.

Used concrete stain not happy with resulting color
We stained our concrete patio with behr solid concrete stain (loden color), the resulting color isn’t at all like the color we chose . We think we might over spray with a semi transparent stain to alter the color and tone it down (charcoal) will this work? Currently it is way too bright (orangish ). Or do you have another suggestion? I do not want to leave it as is.
