Let me say I have not completely finished my project. I power washed my patio on Sunday and used a pump sprayer with Behr concrete stain today. After about 4 hours I was curious about the "wet look" sealer. Let me say that many reviewers are confusing "wet look" with "glossy" they ARE NOT the same. So I used a paint brush (although tomorrow I will be using the pump sprayer) to test this sealer in a few areas. I read lots of reviews about spots and foaming etc but I experienced none of that. I put down an even coat then left it alone for another 2 to 3 hours and went back out to take a look. It is BEAUTIFUL and more like there is dew on it even though it is completely dry. My tiles/pavers were just plain white concrete. I also believe the wet look will vary depending upon the material. I am very satisfied at this point and will update if need be.

Leaves white sheen on the surface
After about a week, I started seeing a white sheen on top of my brand new brick wall. Really regret applying this product. I followed the instructions, dry surface, cleaned it, used a sprayer, roller then a paint brush to painstakingly smooth out and get rid of excess sealer. After hours of toil, it's very disappointing to see the final results. I was in a hurry to get this done during the holidays, and bought this from a store. I should have ordered one of the much better ones from online web sites and waited for the shipment. Regrets!!!

HI Ron,

Thank you for reviewing Behr Wet-Look Sealer. I'm very sorry to hear about the white sheen issue, as it's not what we want our customers to go through. If only one coat has been applied, a second coat can be tested in a small area. The second coat may reactivate the first coat so that trapped moisture can escape. Alternatively, you can try wiping a small area with denatured alcohol, as this can also help release trapped moisture. Applying this product during the recommended weather conditions (50-80F; below 50% humidity) and out of direct sunlight is imperative for optimal results.

Please contact Behr's Customer Care Department for further assistance with this matter. We'd love to find a way to help.

Kindest regards,

Doris Behr

I put 3 coats on my garage floor, over Behr Concrete & Garage 1-Part Epoxy paint. The directions say to use a 1/4" roller. I tried a 3/8" because it was all I had, and can tell you it did not work. It caused the Wet Look to go on too thick and foamy. I quit the roller after a few square feet and used a brush to carefully apply each coat as thinly as possible. I did not have any whiteness after it dried. The reviews for both this product and the other water-base clearcoat (Rustoleum makes it) both caution about whiteness, so it is probably a factor with any water-base clearcoat. Apply it thin and let each coat dry at least 24 hrs. It looks nice. Use latex gloves however--there is something in it that will eat the skin on your fingers if you get it stuck on you. Gave only 4 stars because it doesn't seem as shiny in the one area where I wiped up some dirt about a week after applying the clearcoat, but the difference is very minor. One gallon was plenty for 3 thin coats on a one-car garage. I have almost a quart left over.

worked well for me
I used a deck sprayer in the morning before the sun started hitting my newly layed (last weekend) concrete pavers. In 2-3 hours when the sun hit it most of the milky parts had dried up and was clear. I did one coat saturday and another on sunday. Very happy with initial results. Need to see if it lasts.

After reading numerous reviews on various sealers out on the market. I chose Behr because the description of the product claimed to do just what I needed it to do and that was sealer my concrete garden fountain which had previously been stained in Onyx by Valspar. It went on kinda milky just like instructions said, it dried clear and has since then rained and I’m extremely happy with the results!!! Behr, a brand that is trusted by my home’s interior walls.

Decent product. Had higher expectations
I recently sealed my stamped and painted concrete i had done (15ft x 23ft) and was unsure of what sealer to go with. I decided to go with Behr Premium Wet look despite having multiple bad reviews. I guess I can say I am somewhat satisfied with the outcome. But it did turn that milky/ hazy in one spot. Was really disappointed in that. I followed instructions exactly how it was recommended to use. Its been about 2 weeks now in the 100+ degree weather we have in central Cali and it didn't clear up. Any recommendations on how to fix it? I would still recommend this product. May not be the best but if its done right and cures clear it looks great! And it is at a good price point.

Dont waste your money buying this product you will be diappointed
I used this product on a paver patio, it just turned the entire patio into a milky glaze, at first I thought it will cure itself, but couple weeks later it just looks the same. I was lucky in that I only used it only on a portion of my patio. The picture will show the difference between Bher product and Eagle Product which I used for the rest of the patio.

Hi SG, thank you for your review, and we're sorry to hear the sealer dried to a milky glaze. To fix the issue, feel free to add a second coat in a small test area. If this clears it up, apply the full coat all over. However, if this doesn't work, it would be best to remove it with a concrete stripper. To help with this, please reach out to us directly; we'd love to make things right. -Edith Behr

Sealed and Shiny!
I wanted to seal and add some sparkle to my entryway pavers. I picked up the Behr Wet-Look Sealer at the store and read the directions for on the back of the container. The for applying with a roller, the directions recommended a 1/4" nap roller. This seemed like really light nap for a porous surface like pavers, but I picked up the 1/4" as instructed. I rolled on a thin coat as suggested and the stuff soaked in perfectly. I ran into some direct sunlight during the morning, but I worked quickly and rolled it several times to ensure it was spread properly. The 1/4" nap roller, was perfect for applying the thin coat as suggested. I let it dry and added a second coat. I am very happy with the results.

Discolored my stamped concrete
I purchased a much better product to seal my stamped concrete but ran out before the job was finished. Instead of driving 15 miles to get another two gallons I sided with convenience and went to Home Depot. I also ignored all the bad reviews for this product and purchased it anyway. Big mistake. It left a white film in the portion I used this on. The rest of my stamped concrete is beautiful and shiny like it should look. The area I used the Behr on is dull with a white finish. I’m hoping they give me my money back since now I’ll have to remove the Behr sealer and re-seal it with the better product. Waste of time, effort and money. I can’t believe the number of bad reviews and still HD pushes this product.

Hi Jerry - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the white film on your stamped concrete. To fix, we recommend applying a second coat in a small test area and allowing it to dry for 4-6 hours. If the test area dried clear, you can continue to apply a second coat to the rest of the surface. If not, the sealer would need to be removed. So we can assist you with this, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We hope to hear from you. - Sara Behr
