Very good paint for the money. Used it to paint newly finished basement, performs great on new, primed drywall. Had it tinted to a light tan and put on two coats - result is flawless. I used leftover material (primer + i300 paint) to paint over a previously painted wall. This wall was a medium brown. Painted one coat of primer and one coat of i300 - it covered perfectly, no visible difference to the adjacent new drywall with two coats of i300 on it. To some of the negatives reviews here ... perhaps it's your painting technique? If you're painting two coats of primer plus multiple top coats and you still see the old paint shine through - YOU are doing something wrong. It's not the product that's at fault ... maybe you should hire a pro.

I am NOT a pro painter. I tried this on recommendation at Home Depot paint dept. after I explained I needed the best paint for trim in a badly neglected 50 year old house. The prior owner had painted with latex over old semi-gloss that hadn't been cleaned or sanded to take the sheen off for adherence. It was applied very thick. Deep brush marks. Chunky in spots. I did a light sand and wiped the trim down and cleaned properly. Two coats of this on that old trim was phenomenal. Had a nice sheen. I used a mediocre brush and the brush marks still laid down. Very smooth to the eye and touch. This paint was shaken and stirred vigorously before I put more in the pan each and every time. I kept it bright white so I can't complain of color being off. If you have dark paint or stains to cover, you definitely need a primer. I have more trim and special order doors coming so I have to go get more. This will be my go to paint for wood trim from now on. Extremely pleased with end result.

The paint went on easily and covered a layer of brown paint with only 2 coats. If the first layer had been lighter, it may have only needed one. Great coverage!

Great product, I've been using it for the last couple of years. Covers well, as always. Always able to get great color matches with this product. I've never had problems with the sheen or flashing. Touches up very well. I would say it is equal if not better than Pro Mar 200. Also at a much more reasonable price.

  • A great paint.

It has its own characteristics. It seems to need frequent stirring, and using a brush yields a better finish than a roller (and I do a lot of painting). I'm very pleased with the way it holds pigments, as well as the coverage. It's a super performer; better than many of the paints in a higher price range.

There was a five gallon bucket of this left over when we bought our house that I used to paint a ceiling. It was great and only took two coats to cover darkly stained wood. I bought a one gallon can to finish the job and the paint is much thinner and is going to take 4+ coats.
