    Waste of time and money!
We bought three 5 gallon buckets to cover approximately 600 ft.². Did all of Behr preparation as instructed. After two coats, it looked horrible so we applied a third. After the third - still shows streaking and bare areas where the product did not set right. Went back and bought a fourth 5 gallon jug so now we’re in for over $1200 and completely disappointed in the final project. Usually very satisfied with Behr products, but after this will probably never purchase from them again!

Hi LoriK, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the coverage you expected, and I can understand your disappointment. Our Granite Grip is designed to cover 40-60 square feet per gallon with two coats, while porous surfaces may require additional coats. For 600 square feet, we recommend applying about 6 and 3/4 gallons per coat, and up to four coats can be applied for better coverage. To fix this, I recommend letting the surface dry for 72 hours before applying another coat. For best coverage, I advise pouring the product directly onto the surface and using an adhesive roller by adding little to no pressure to roll it out, working in 3ftx3ft sections at a time. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our Customer Care team is happy to help! - Randy Behr

I’m so disappointed with this product and so mad with me. My husband told me look the reviews first but I really want to give a try. We love Bebe products so I trust them but with this is really a worst of money!! We try this because is cheaper than the tiles and I’m so regretful. I hope Behr respond to us and do something because it’s a loot of comments feeling a the same way.

          Very disappointed
I put in countless hours of concrete repair/grinding and prep work before using this product just to have it look good for a week and then start bubbling and peeling. Not happy with these results absolute waste of $2k. I got the grey colored stuff and when it dries it turns out more blue then grey. Being an avid user of Behr products (mostly interior paint) this took me by surprise because usually their product is top notch. Hoping they can help me resolve this

Hello, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the coating peeled and bubbled so quickly. This is not normal, and I understand your disappointment. I recommend removing the loose coating, cleaning and etching the concrete until it feels like 150-grit sandpaper to promote adhesion and recoating. Initially this product looks great, but if it gets wet it pulls up and it can also be stained by dirt. Waste of time and money!!!

Hello, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the surface stained easily. That's not typical, and I can understand your disappointment. I recommend cleaning the surface with soap and water. If this doesn't work, you can try a concrete cleaner/degreaser instead. Another coat may be needed for uniformity. We appreciate you sharing your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Our Customer Care team is happy to help! -Giovanna Behr

Terrible product experience will cost be thousands.
Extremely unsatified with this product. I would never recommend this to anyone. Not matter how much constant mixing or different application patterns, the darker texture will always stand out as the first pass of the roller but you will not be able to tell until it has dried. We have applied 4 coats to this floor (20 gallons) and cannot get the end result to be consistent. Extremelexpensive and time consuming. The bucket states 1 hour dry to the touh, and a recoat time of 3-4 hours. That is far from accurate. In this basment we had the HVAC running, a radiant heater and 2 fans keeping constant airflow at 75° ea coat needed 9 hours to dry without it sticking to our shoes and peeling. I will be forced to redo this entire floor again with something new for this client.

Hi BrianJose, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the coverage and drying issues you had with our Granite Grip. This isn't the experience we want for our customers, and we want to help get your project fixed. I recommend letting the last coat dry for at least 72 hours. Then, clean the surface (if needed) and apply another coat following the spread rate (50 square feet per gallon for two coats). You can also try using a texture sprayer and backrolling with your adhesive roller for a uniform finish. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we'd like to help get your project back on track. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can further assist. We look forward to hearing from you! -Christina Behr

My husband and I spend almost two weeks prepping , clean and painting our 1000 sq ft back porch. Spending over $1500 and after two weeks it is ruined. Yesterday we got a rain storm and see the picture below of what our new back porch looks like.

Stay away from this product on larger surfaces
Per coverage should have needed 10 gallons. Currently at 35 and need ten more. ON the fourth coat.. Great color- just blotchy coverage. Surface was power washed and etched. Applied by a professional painter. Stay clear of this product. I should have headed the reviews. Was plannning on using on an upper cement veranda deck- absolutley not after seeing the finished effect. Would not recomend for larger surfaces. Stay CLEAR of this as a solution.

                      If only...
If only the coverage was the only issue here. I had to apply 5 coatings to get a decent look using the proper roller (which was a nightmare). There was no rain between layers and 2 weeks after the last coat went on. It looked amazing during that time until the first rain. Bubbles started popping left and right which destroyed all of the hours of work and money spent towards the product. Look at pictures for reference as this is a 3 weeks old result. Preparation 1h Paint 10h across a week.

                        Bad coverage and stains
We purchased for our 400sq ft concrete patio. Used all the correct tools & followed instructions. It was very hard to spread with the recommended roller. We applied 9 gals. It needs a third coat. There are dog paw prints and people footprint stains all over it. I’ve scrubbed it several times with dawn soap to get the mud/mulch/dirt stains off, but no luck at all. We’ve put so much time, effort and money into this.I’m upset about the stains and the poor coverage. I don’t recommend.

Doesn’t hood up to regular rain water
I wanted to love this paint as much it cost however, it’s over a month since initial application and after a rainy day I was left with bubbling paint! Not a happy camper considering the amount of money and time invested paying tid paint. Do not recommend.

Tedious to use but looks great!
started with a gallon of this in mineral gray for my 24 x 6’ porch. 1 gallon only covered 3/4. Went for more; had to buy a 5 gallon bucket because they didn’t have any gallons left of the gray.. Total cost was about 400$$!! “must apply with 1/4” adhesive roller cover” yeah ok! I used the roller but also needed to use a paint brush to get into all the pits in my 20 year old concrete porch. Very tedious process ! took a few days to complete. It does look nice hope it lasts (walkway was stained)

Bubbles up with a little standing water
I bought a 5 gallon bucket of this. It went on pretty well with a base coat and a thicker second coat. I loved the way it looked. But after week, got a good rain last night and everywhere there was a little standing water on the patio the product bubbled. I was really happy with it until this happened. Now not sure what to do. Try to scrape it all off and paint it with something else????

Hi Jevans, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the bubbling you experienced. Once concrete is coated, it cannot absorb water, and standing water will wear down concrete coatings. To fix the bubbling Granite Grip, I recommend removing any loose coating before etching the bare concrete to promote adhesion. Once clean and dry, touch up the areas. Granite Grip Concrete Paint
                                  - Deceiving coverage information - Difficult to apply - Leaves patches I bought 2 gallons to do my porch, 200 Sq ft. Label says it will cover 350 to 500 Sqft. So I was expecting that one gallon will cover 2 coats on 200sqft area. Unfortunately, I've already applied one gallon of paint on part of my porch (< 200sq ft) with an ugly patchy look, and started to apply the second coat but I dont think that even on the second coat the patch will go away. I may have to pour a full drum of 4 gallons to cover the patches and have an intended look. I was low on budget, and decided to use finite grip as I was expecting that I will finish the job in one gallon ($75) or maximun 2 gallons, but unfortunately, I am unable to complete my project as 2 gallons are not enough and Its out of my budget to buy more. See the pictures of my project.

Light patches still on 2 coats
I’m on coat number two. There are patches that appear lighter. Like a tan rather than the Sunset ridge. Now I’m debating wether I want to do a third coat because this stuff is so expensive and I’ve already bought three gallons when one should have done the entire porch. I’m in it for over $200 and I would think it should look better then it does. I love the color if I could get the color I paid for.

                                          Not intended for painted concrete
i recently purchase this to paint my pool deck. We followed the instructions to prep the floor and then we applied the paint. After 2 coats it was still not fully covered and the color seemed faded and we had to buy more paint. It took us a total of 21 gallons to cover the whole pool deck. Not worth the $1100 spent. Yesterday it rained and we noticed the paint running. Waiting for it to dry to see if we will need to repaint it.

Called BEHR one person said could be heat related and when I had to call back someone else said it’s not heat related. Do not recommend at all.

So much work and have to do over annually!
I am so disappointed in this product! I have a new step and I clean and etched it twice to be sure it was ready. Looked beautiful but the first spring it all peels off. I literally sanded off every piece and etched it again and repainted the entire step. Guess what … the next spring all Peeling off again! It’s not cheap and a lot of work and poor quality!

Hi Tara, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear our Granite Grip did not provide the longevity you expected. This product is guaranteed to provide a 1-year lifespan. We have seen it last longer than that, but annual maintenance may be needed in order to preserve the quality of the coating, depending on the amount of usage and wear. While you're probably already familiar with the steps to maintain the Granite Grip, we recommend removing any loose coating and etching the surface to promote adhesion. Once clean and dry, touch up the spot and recoat the surface if needed for uniformity. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Do not waste your money!!!
Very expensive, hard to apply. Putting it around pool deck and have already used 4 gallons and not even a 1/3 done which is very splotchy. Purchased more today because I’ve got to finish it now. Not at pictured unless you use probably 4 or 5 coats maybe even more. Don’t waste your money!!!!

Hi there, thank you for your review, I'm sorry to hear that it is taking more product than expected and that it is very splotchy. When applying the coating, it's recommended to use a 1/4" adhesive roller. When applying the coating, it's best to use little to no pressure on the roller. Do not buy! Trust me
I had to buy 9 gallons for 270 sq ft which is way more than they say you need. It cost me double what I was expecting. It also stains from any kind of water. Dog pee or anything that spills. It also scratches easy. It's nearly impossible to get it to lay evenly too. You can see the streak marks no matter what you do. Please trust me and don't buy this and save yourself the time and money.

                                                    Awesome & long lasting
Applied to concrete patio & lasted 14 years thru multiple hail and freezing weather in Texas. I did follow instructions and used primer first. Make sure you get the product shaken before applying for even color. Was quick and. Easy to apply. Very reasonable price for the years of wear. Hard to remove to replace after storm damage. Probably easier just to apply over.

                                                      Super stuff!
This product was exceptional, it makes our concrete porch, which was worn and stained, look new. If I have one complaint I used a bit more than the specifications. Two coats were put on , you probably could do 1 coat depending on the look you want.
