We have been using this paint for years now, first on our fence (over a decade ago, needs a little touch up, but still doing well even in the hot Florida sun!), and now our house as well. A nice even spread coats and protects and it is long lasting. Easy to clean up afterwards, simply rinse with water. Good paint!
You had best know what you’re doing to use this paint

I painted my wall TWICE with those paint and because it’s semi gloss I got streaks from my roller EVERYWHERE! Like the walls look freaking awful! And now idk how to paint over it unless I can just paint over it with more behr paint.. I love the brand and the quality is good but if you’re a first time painter like me! Stay away from it!
We really like using this paint. We have done several rooms in this point with varying colors. The latest was repainting our sons room the blue that he picked out. It went over old white and it only took one coat with minor touch up in a few places. While this is a more expensive paint, it spreads well, is thick and covers the walls really well.
Despite the top-tier Paint and Primer, I still need to prime first.

Before I bought this paint in Silver Mine, I got the Behr Premium Plus in Deep River for my accent wall. I used primer on my fresh drywall because i had scuffs in them and dirt. Cleaned and primed and the Blue accent wall looks amazing. Someone told me using primer first regardless makes the color pop more. However I spent more on this paint under the impression that I would not need to prime first. The highlight of this paint is little to no odor. I will give them that. When I painted with the Marquee paint i noticed I needed to go over certain spots a 2nd-3rd time. And when i finished i see spots not covered at all. I will be going over with primer and repainting to correct the issue. I recommend the mid-tier (Ultra) or the third tier behr paint but still prime.I cant stress that enough. The odors come with the job.

Thank you for reviewing Behr Marquee Paint. I'm sorry to hear about the coverage issue experienced in certain areas. Spot priming before touching up with paint will help seal the new drywall to help prevent this issue from happening again. Please contact Behr's Customer Care Department for further assistance with this matter. We'd love to find a way to help.
We love this paint. It covers very well and goes on smoothly with not a lot of drips & runs. One coat does the job but sometimes we do just go ahead and do second coat to really make it look like a pro did it instead of a diy'er. This is our go to paint. We used Behr Marquee paint just recently to paint our newly resided house and it did an absolutely beautiful job. Talk about looking professional!
This paint is the worst paint i have ever used. It is so thick, it dries super fast. By the time your done cutting in and go to roll the roller just peels all the paint off that you just used on the edges. I will never buy a behr product again. For 40 plus dollars a gallon what trash. I am going to have to re sand my ceiling now that its all lumpy and it looks terrible. I should have know better to buy paint from home chepo. I'll buy if from the local paint store. Never again. Don't waste your money on any behr paint. I would give this product zero stars if i could.

Hello rob79, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear our Marquee paint dried quicker than expected during your application and that it peeled off as you went over it; this is not the performance we expect from our products. To ensure proper paint consistency, we recommend stirring your paint for 3-5 minutes before using it and periodically during your application. If it seems that the paint is drying too fast, while you apply it at the recommended temperature and humity range, we'd suggest adding no more than 4 ounces of water (per gallon) to it to extend it's workability during your application. To get your project back on track, we'd recommend removing all the loose paint, smoothing down the affected areas by sanding them down, cleaning your surface, allowing it to dry for at least 24 hours, and touching up. An overall recoat may be needed after touching up to uniform your finish. Customer satisfaction is important to us. Please feel free to contact our Customer Care team directly with any questions you may have or for further assistance. Have a great rest of your Thursday. –Joanna
This paint is the ONLY paint I will ever use on my own buildings. It covers great, LASTS forever & is water and insect repellent. It's like wrapping your house in a silicone blanket. Clean up is a breeze. Frankly, it's worth every penny because I wont have to repaint again for 20+ years. I Love this stuff and have used it since the beginning.
