Our old toilet seat cracked. When my husband and I visited our local Home Depot, we were thrilled to discover that we could order a USA-made Bemis replacement toilet seat in Tender Grey, which was a popular fixture color by Kohler when we built our house 30+ years ago. The shade of grey matches perfectly, and the bumpers and hinges are color-matched as well. The fact that the seat could be delivered directly to our house in a few days was an even bigger plus. This comfortable Bemis toilet seat is made of a molded, high gloss plastic that seems very durable and should last us for another 30 years. This particular seat has a nifty closing mechanism called the WhisperClose feature: it can slowly close the lid and/or seat on its own to avoid slamming or pinching fingers. I like the Easy-Clean & Change hinge design that allows you to remove the entire toilet seat from the bowl in seconds by simply twisting the hinges for an ultra-deep cleaning. Special bolts on the Sta-Tite Seat Fastening System also prevent the seat from wobbling or coming loose. Overall, we are extremely happy that we could color-coordinate a quality toilet seat with an old toilet – it’s a whole lot better than putting a white seat on a grey toilet, or replacing the entire toilet.

The toilet seat is just as I expected and desired. I haven't yet figured out how to remove the lid, but I will soon!

I like the way it stands up by itself without leaning on the toilet. That's important.

We like very much. Easy to install, like the slow close for no banging . Could be a little sturdier for sitting on when closed, otherwise a good product. Looks great in our black, white and gray bathroom
