The angle corners work as promised. They are strong plastic and handle the pressure that the strap places on them.
The clamp itself is useful for three- or five-sided applications, picture frames, and other items for which a simple squeeze clamp is not appropriate. It requires some patience fiddling with the strap and the clamps. Then you tighten the whole thing, and not everything may stay in place as you do so. Eventually, though, it works.
