  • Good For Rain Cover Up
  • October 17, 2013
  • Recommended Product

I have been using these types of tarps for years to protect against the elements for my picnic table during the winter. It is a folding oak table, so I store it outside and use this tarp to cover it and the benches. Come spring, the wood stays healthy since it was protected from rain, sun, wind, etc. I have had the table for over 20 years and I owe to a little oil and these type of tarps! They are perfect. I also use the tarp for large tree pruning too. Just lay it out flat under where your clippings go and let it drop. Then just wrap it up into a ball and take it straight to the trash can for easy clean up. Very handy! After a few years, they do begin to fray, but that is to be expected for the level of use and exposure.

the tarp arrived just in time to use for our fall leaves. my husband uses the leaf blower to mound the leaves in the yard, and then rakes them onto the tarp to carry to the road. we have city street leaf collection. the tarp is durable and practical to use. it is just the right weight and size to manage. i would totally recommend this tarp.

  • Good protection tarp

Well it's a tarp. This one is a general all-purpose tarp so it's made for just about any job. It's not heavy duty so it would take on demanding tasks all that well but it's not a really thin weak tarp also. I've used it as ground cover for my paint/varnish spray tent in my backyard and it holds up well. It not only protects dirt and dust from flying into the air but it protects the ground from any airborne residues. Also it is built tough enough to not allow anything to poke through. It's laid on rocks, sticks, and anything else one would normally find in their yard. And no punctures after using several times. It does have adequate grommet holes for tie-down applications as well, I use them to stake to the ground. Great value and size for a tarp.

Pros High Quality of Material, Good Coverage, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Good Protection, grommet holes

  • Covering the firewood
  • September 19, 2013

There was a couple of splashes of a yellow/green on the blue tarp when I took it from the package and opened it up to full size; call it a manufacturing flaw. I hung it under the eaves to keep my firewood dry this winter. Three screws in back side of the fascia board, hang the grommets on them. I thought 9 feet should be enough to put bricks on the bottom to keep the wind from blowing it around, but it came just to the sidewalk; call that my measuring my flaw. So I took pieces of rope tied through the grommets and looped the rope around a brick and a piece of firewood to hold it down. There are grommets on each corner and one in the center of each side. The wind is blowing today and the tarp billows, but the brick and wood are keeping it from looking like a flag blowing in the wind. I will definitely buy a larger tarp when I need to replace this one.

  • Quality, durable tarp

I use tarps to drag copious amounts of leaves across my rough, blacktop driveway every fall which can take a big toll on the tarps. So far, I've used the BOEN 9 ft. x 12 ft. All Purpose Blue Tarp for 3 major leaf hauls, and no holes have been torn in it (in comparison: last fall, I wore several holes in the tear-resistant tarp I bought from a different company). I'm very happy with this tarp, and, based on my experience with it so far, I expect it to last for a long time.

Pros High Quality of Material, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, lightweight, Durable

Cross weaved tarp creates a really durable surface for covering things with edges, i'd still be weary of sharp edges. This will keep things dry from a winter down pour.

  • good size strong tarp
  • September 29, 2013
  • Recommended Product

This is a good size sturdy tarp for indoor or outdoor use. Grommets are every 3 feet for tie downs if using outside to cover something. It is laminated and can also be cleaned with a hose after using for gardening, etc. The grommets are rust proof. It is easy to fold after use for storage. Strong and will take alot of abuse before it rips.

Pros High Quality of Material, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Good Protection, easy to fold

  • Does its job

It depends on what you need a tarp for, but this worked fine for my purposes. I use it to cover an inflatable pool that my one year old uses. When ready, we uncover the pool and use the tarp as a walk-up of sorts, so that the kids can get in and out of the pool without dripping all over everything. It's easy enough to secure to the ground through the grommets using regular stakes, and it folds up and fits easily into our patio storage cube. Again, it's just a tarp, but it's worth it if it fits your needs.
