The chair itself is exactly as pictured and described. Attractive and very comfortable! UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WERE NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS!!!!! It took a good hour of searching U-Tube and other sources to find the applicable instructions. It was irritating, to say the least! With the instructions, I was able to put it together by myself (I'm a 69-year-old grandmother), so I would say anyone could do it.
