I bought this last week so I haven’t had a chance to grow them I am excited to grow mushrooms that I know are not poisonous. I did buy it because it was 50% off. I would not have paid full price to try it. I can update this review after I try growing them. .

Very poor yield. Don't waste your money on this.
I followed the instructions on the box and I also signed up for the growing tips via text. After 2 weeks I was able to harvest 5 small mushrooms. Hardly worth the $14.99 price tag. Save your money and time and avoid this product.

Hi Chas! We're sorry to hear you weren't entirely satisfied with your mushroom grow kit; each kit is different, but you should have 1 to 2 servings of mushrooms, or around 3 ounces. If you don't feel like you got that, please reach out to contact@backtotheroots.com with a photo of your kit and your harvest, so we can help you grow. If you did have a smaller crop, we can help you with a replacement and tips for growing.

Bag was full of liquid!!
I opened my box tonight to soak it overnight. When I pulled the bag out it was not a hard block as I was expecting, it was all mushy with tons of water in the bag. How does that even happen??? This was a complete waste of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit was so much fun for my family. We were able to follow the instructions and after seeing them grown i was even able to get my picky eater to try some of them in two different meals. The kit came with everything that you need and I was even able to use it a second harvest.
