Would recommend. Perfect size for our patio. My husband was able to put it together by himself in less than 6hrs. He had some issues with holes not lining up, but was able to fix this problem on his own. All boards arrived in good shape.

The quality of this pergola makes it a great value. Easy to assemble..... the most difficult part was drilling into our very hard concrete pad. It feels sturdy enough to handle our windy area however we just put it up so it needs to experience a winter for the true test. I put a 8x12 shade cover over the top and it's perfect shade. Overall we love it!

We love our outdoor space now. Approximately 8 hours for two of us to fully assemble it. We also purchased a commercial grade screen we put on the top for extra shade. The bar and electrical outlets make it an excellent place to gather our family together.

Easy to assemble, it's beautiful! Had shipped to store and picked it up, came in 3 big heavy boxes that fit in back of pick up.

Pros: The end result looks great as long as you don't look too closely. This is a beautiful pergola that feels quite sturdy. Some parts came damaged but they replaced those quickly without any trouble. Cheapest solid option on the market Cons: The pre drilled holes rarely lined up, and were sometimes drilled wrong. The cuts in the cross beams are too large. Many boards are warped and every board cut splinters. The support beam split, and in wet washington swelled up to big to fit in the feet without extra work. Took longer than time mentioned. Overall you get what you pay for, its a beautiful pergola with a number of defects which make putting it together and the fine details annoying

This pergola was easy to assemble, with the step by step instructions and video app, you really had a great opportunity to accomplish set up! Looks great!

Very Nice unit...definitely need two people to build it and you would be hard pressed at doing it in 8 hours unless you were a young Pro.

Had it assembled

He picked it up from the store it was extremely heavy. It was more challenging to put up that I thought it would be. We had to make cement footings and we levelled it with a small cement patio that we have coming out from our sliding glass door. But now that it's up at those look beautiful and was worth it. I live in Santa Fe New Mexico so the sun is very intense here. I am going to put up additional lattice fencing on the top to provide more shade.

Beautiful Pergola! We weren't sure about going with a kit, but so glad we did. The quality of this pergola is great and looks exactly like the picture. We assembled it in the pouring rain, 3 people and it took us less than 4 hours. All of the parts and pieces were there, nothing was missing (yay!). At first it seemed a little overwhelming but once we got everything organized it wasn't bad. We could have saved a trip to the hardware store, didn't realize screwdriver drill tips were also included. They sent extra hardware - 2 extra of everything. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful addition to our pool area. Directions easy to follow. High quality wood and assembly materials. Will need a few hands to assemble into upright position. Attached mine to a wood deck. Great value!

I received this pergola a few days ago and decided to build it myself. With a little help from my wife, I was able to get the post frame into place. This pergola is built strong, all the pieces are solid and nothing feels "flimsy". I will update once I'm complete with the build, landscaping and moving my hot tub under the pergola. You will NOT regret this purchase.

I purchased for my city rooftop, need something heavy enough to withstand winds and durable enough to handled the weather. Spoke with my home inspector before as to the best way to secure to a fiberglass roof, he recommended using a water sealant in the screw holes prior to securing the screws in the roof. There are also other methods but he said that would be the best and most aesthetically pleasing . Because of the pitch of the roof is directed toward a drain, we had to plumb the lower side to make everything level which was easily hidden by the mounting brackets. Really happy with the quality of this product, it def take more then one person to install. Pay attention to the pre-drilled holes and remember when ordering the top dimensions are larger then the small, so I ordered a 12x12 even though the rooftop space was only 11' wide.

This pergola was a bit challenging to assemble but luckily there was 4 of us. All parts and hardware were received in good condition. It is exactly what I wanted for my back patio. I added some lights that created a wonderful ambiance at night. I'm happy with the color and quality of the pergola and look forward to enjoying it for a long time.

Overall, I'm pleased with the design, quality, and construction of this pergola, especially for the price. I was able to put it together with the help of a friend in less than 5 hours. The lumber certainly smelled like cedar, and came already stained/treated. However, I'm not entirely confident in the staining/sealing product because it seemed to easily wipe off when I was sliding the top rafters into place. I'll likely reseal sooner than later with my own product. A few tips and observations: All of the pieces are numbered/lettered with small markings to help with installation. These markings matter for proper positioning of the pilot holes. Use a level to make sure everything is plumb before you completely tighten all the bolts and you will be fine. All of the pilot holes matched up perfectly, except for two bottom holes in one of the posts (off by 1/8") (see attached pic). This caused some slight misalignment elsewhere, but not a big deal - I could've drilled different pilot holes, but a rubber mallet worked fine to gently nudge everything in place. No one will notice but me. Most of the top slats were slightly warped. This caused some misalignment with the pilot holes connecting the slats onto the rafters. Again, I could've drilled my own pilot holes, but enough of the pilot holes lined up that I was able to secure them with confidence. And you won't notice that the slats are slightly warped once they're in place. The only negative comment I have is that the posts are hollow, and there are plastic caps at the top of the posts to keep water out. Be careful tightening the beams to the posts because the plastic caps are rather flimsy (tacked on by a few staples) and will pop off if you over-tighten the bolts. I'll install something else at the top of the posts later on, but they will do for now. Even though the posts are hollow, the pergola is heavy and solid, and I didn't feel the need to use the (included) bolts and hardware to permanently drill the posts into the ground. Overall happy with the finished product, and have received a lot of compliments (and inquiries) from friends and neighbors. Highly recommend for the price.

It took roughly 3 1/2 hours with two people. All the pre-drilled holes were perfect and no issues. I weather sealed it 3 days prior to building it and that to me the best way to do it, even though it said it was pre-stained. I watched the video before building it and the directions were accurate. The only issue with it though, the picture gives you the impression the lattice on top are one long piece of wood that goes across. It is not, it is 2 pieces u have to line up and drill together to make it one piece. They could have been just one piece other wise really good.

Very heavy (3) boxes for 2 people upon freight delivery, so be prepared ahead of time. Slightly disappointed in the freight delivery experience as the gentleman was only allowed to leave on the street. Despite the delivery fiasco pergola went up extremely well and is as solid as a rock. Definitely recommend this product for the price, look, and sound structure.

Excellent pergola kit. It was like Legos for big kids. The instructions were simple to follow for the most part. I recommend laying out the hardware and labeled wood pieces for each step as you go. I ended up with A LOT of extra hardware which is typically the opposite for kits like these (pic included). I also had to cut some of the end buttresses 1/8" to aline with the predrilled holes. Overall its a great pergola. Took me a single long afternoon but would go quicker with two people. You may need help lifting.

Good product

Overall, this is an excellent product. It is very well made and easily assembled. Looks great on my deck! We attached it to our Trex decking already outside using the mounting pieces it came with, and deck screws. The color is nice, will have to see how much maintenance it requires in the coming years. I would recommend a canvas shade cover to put on top as this provides zero shade. The directions are really great and easy to follow, even have an easy 3D version online. Make sure you follow the directions exactly to keep it square!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never installed a pergola so I wanted to find a product that looked nice and not that difficult to assemble. I purchased it with no regrets.

This pergola really adds character to an otherwise average backyard. We've wanted one for a long time, and this pergola is perfect in every way! It was delivered in two very heavy boxes, a few days before expected, however, we were able to have it built within a week. All the pieces were in perfect condition...no cracks or chips! It adds so much value to our property, and more than meets our expectations!

I purchased 3 of these to erect into the shape of an "L". I was able to get to 90% complete in less than 10 hours by myself, another person for material handling would have been helpful. The upper slats still need to be installed, no hurry. It goes up very quickly; however there where a number of issues. First, a number of the longest bolts cross-threaded easily when installing hand tight. Secondly, some of the holes needed to be redrilled or elongated to get the long bolts to connect. Third, a handful of the bigger slats and the majority of the smaller slats are bowed severely. The wood is very fragile in my opinion, I had to to be gentle with it as to not scrape or gouge it. Overall I'm somewhat satisfied, 3 stars, but I expected more for what I paid. It does look nice and it'll function well for it's intended use.

We shipped our purchase to a local Home Depot then picked it up. It came in two long boxes which contained all the material. In all it took me 8 hours to put it together and I did need a second person to help at times. Overall the wood is in great shape and stained well. The instructions are clear and detailed. My only complaint with this product was the hardware (nuts & bolts). I had to eventually use a tap and die on a lot of it because it kept stripping. I don't know if it wasn't properly manufactured or the paint was causing this to occur. After doing the tap and die on the hardware, it went together very easily. It is a great value. I was shopping around and something this size from other places was more than double this price. Would recommend.

I am impressed! I am a DIY kinda guy, but even I couldn't build this for what they are selling it for. It took a couple of weeks to arrive, but was delivered undamaged and was very easy to put together with the appropriate tools such as an impact driver, speed square, etc. I basically built the entire pergola by myself, and only received help from my 4'11 wife and 16 y/o nephew to hold up the 10' lengths w/posts while I made the connections with the longer beams. I had it freestanding in 3 hrs after work and came back in the morning to just screw on the rafters and perlins, and it was done! It smells nice too!

The total purchasing experience was flawless and hassle free. Delivery was fast and convenient. I was worried that the product would arrived damaged like some of the reviews mentioned but that wasn't the case. The delivering company was helpful and accommodating. The Pergola arrived in two long boxes and they are extremely heavy. I had it delivered to my garage and then transported the pieces separately to the backyard when it was time for assembly. The boxes did have some small tears but no damage llllto the actual materials. The cedar aroma is strong and somewhat pleasant honestly. The color is rich and perfect. I chose not to apply any additional stain. Because I didn't have any assistance, I chose to hire someone to assemble the Pergola and I also wanted it assembled right away. It took a professional approximately 5 hours and he had to call someone out to assist. It's virtually impossible to assemble it alone. I also believe 3 people could have assembled it even faster. The Pergola is very sturdy. The posts are not solid, but they are constructed very well and feels solid when it's put together. I decided not to anchor it to my concrete slab patio. On a flat surface that's not subjected to high winds, this pergola is not going anywhere. However, I still applied the bases to the post so that the wood wouldn't be directly on the concrete during the rain etc. The Pergola fits my patio perfectly! I was concerned about the actual size. I have a small backyard and patio. The 10 × 12 is perfect. It's not as big as you think, fortunately that worked in my favor. But if you really need the interior space, you should opt for a 12 × 12 or 14 × 14 etc. The dimensions are for the roof overhang not the interior. I believe the look provides a beautiful decor to my backyard and compliments the design of my home perfectly. I just purchased some lights to install on the pergola. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I may add a canopy later. But for now, I love looking at the design and details. Going to fire up the grill and enjoying it. The smell of the cedar combined with the aroma from the grill should be amazing. If you are thinking about buying one, look no further. Order today.

Product came in quickly. We had it delivered to the store and picked it up. Came in two boxes. Instructions were easy to follow. My husband and i put it together by ourself. Would be easier with 3 people, but we managed. It collectively took about 6 hours to assemble, taking our time with no rush. Wood is a nice cedar, but light weight. I anticipate needing to put a new coat of stain on it annually and this need is noted in the instructions. Very fair price for the product. It is a very nice addition to our ourdoor entertaining area
