Love it - I only want one key for my three outside doors and these looks can do it!

Ordered two deadbolts. One worked perfectly and as expected, with simple installation. The other froze up before I completed installation, requiring some work to get unfrozen. Perhaps these have been sitting for some time....? Not sure. After extensive lubrication, I was able to get working again.

I bought a lever door latch along with this dead bolt. Both are very high quality and worth the extra money. There was quite a difference from the deadbolt and latch I replaced. My only complaint would be there wasn't a way to buy them as a set in order for the keys to be the same. I have two other doors with these same locks I bought at the store many many years ago and they still look and work great. I just told them at the time I wanted them to be the same key and I picked them up the next day. Buying online didn't give me that option. Now I have 3 keys... one for two doors and now 2 for the third door. My wife locked herself out the first morning so she was very upset. She got over it and maybe now she'll listen when I give her the lowdown. Lol! No she won't but she remembers to check the door now when she goes out!

Have this lock on my other door. Purchased for that reason.

Beautiful piece of hardware. That said, the first one delivered had a stripped thread in a bolt, so I had to return it and order a new one.

Replacement for 10 year old Baldwin double keyed deadbolt. Matches old deadbolt, Installation was easy. It works well.

Great looking, well designed

I purchased the deadbolt and the handle lock about 3 years ago.. Both parts have failed,, the handle door lock never worked probably without having to jiggle the key multiple times in order to get it to open, then just recently the dead bolt key clyinder popped out and was completely shattered inside.. Worthless... I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the finish was nice..

One of the main reasons I purchased this item was because it says in the description that it would come with 6 keys. However, when it arrived there were only two keys.

Quality product

As expected the same Baldwin quality. I have Baldwin throughout my entire house. They can't be beat in quality and endurance. The reason I didn't five stars was due to the description on Home Depot web site. I have a 1 3/8 door I was installing it on. The web site said it would fit my door, which it does. However, it failed to mention that I would need a special spacer if installing on said door. I never found this out until I unpacked the box and read all the instructions and of course Home Depot doesn't stock the spacer. Luckily I found a local dealer that ordered the part for me at an addition cost of $20.

Baldwin Brass is a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent. It is well worth the extra money. Make sure you purchase the Lifetime finish as well as the lifetime mechanical warranty. They stand behind the lifetime warranty. The Home Depot price was very reasonable.
