Great color and quick Germination, High cost, but worth it.
Germination in less than two weeks!, (Using Peat Moss) looks great, so colorful that even look not real. thick and "fluffy:.

Great results with Bermuda variety.
I reseeded a 1/4 acre portion of my front yard with the Transcontinental Bermuda, I waited till early June to ensure the soil temperature was adequate. I properly prepped (killed existing lawn with glyphosate, tilled several times, raked and rolled after sewing). I had seedlings in just 6 days and after 4 weeks I've already mowed once, need to mow again and its really taking off. My germination rate was very high, likely 90%+. I hope to do the other half of the front yard next year and will be buying this again. My picture shows the new Bermuda grass on the left and my old weedy fescue yard on the right.

This bag of seeds did not produce like the previous bag I had purchased and planted.Brought in top soil and used the same process. No luck this go round. First bag produced a beautiful lawn. Like they say…never as good the second time. I think the seed might have been like me. Elderly.

I noticed mixed reviews but gave this brand a chance. I prepped my lawn as needed before seeding (soil test, added needed nutrients). Unfortunately, nothing has germinated from this bag. I’ve actually never ran into this issue with other of the shelf seeds. I gave it time being it Kentucky blue grass and watered to schedule to keep soil moist (made sure not to over water) and still not one germination. I would say lesson learned and save your money. Purchase another brand.

I used this product the last two years to improve my lawn by seeding it in the fall. This past spring I saw improvement. I expect the same come next years spring as well. Results will take a little time.

I am saddened to say that with my very high expectations of a beautiful, lush green lawn, proper soil preparation, coverage, and watering, after three weeks not a single new blade of grass emerged. I want to try again, but am reluctant after the previous monetary outlay, and its poor results.

        Kentucky Bluegrass
Just planted the seed last week, haven't had time germinate yet hopefully in the next few weeks will have a great review for you. Have been more than satisfied with the Barenburg Pinnacle ll Perennial Ryegrass Seed, decided to give the Kentucky Bluegrass a try. Looking forward to seeing a beautiful lawn in the near future! Thanks for your concern!

Product is as advertised Sod Quality
Tilled and removed old sod; raked area (should have added topsoil as I have clay) put seed down heavier than instructed and used starter fertilizer and used lawn roller on top seed. Put straw down (this did create weeds) and I watered with hose by hand daily and seed came up as advertised. Watering important to keep damp. I put this in in late Aug. 2012 and on day before Thanksgiving was able to mow down to 1/2" with McLain reel mower(10 blade) and yard looked beautiful. I did over seed entire yard and spots which needed more care. I also fertilized late Oct 2012 to ensure good Spring startup. The grass did thicken and spread and now after being in for 2 years lawn is best in neighborhood. I added pelletized lime 50 LBS and 2 bags of Ironite in Jun 2014 and it really brought grass to life; if I could do over I would have used Lime and Ironite in beginning as I mentioned My yard is clay and needed nutrition. You just need some patients with Bluegrass but it will look great because this is a single type of seed and not blended. Home Depot is best price and it shipped from Oregon to Ohio in a week. You can save 50% off price vs online sales from other sellers.

          Awesome grass seed
my germination was outstanding using a slit seeder to get good contact w. soil. I would say basically about 100% germination sucess over a 2 acre lawn. Have fertilized heavily since the grass became established, looking forward to sweet lawn next year. Sprayed tenacity (mesotrione) the day prior to planting to avoid pressure from competative weeds and that also has helped tremendously.

            poor germination
I paid to have my lawn double aerated. We seeded my lawn. One month later, only about 10% of the seeds have germinated. Whereas, my neighbor used the cheap PA. blend seeds from the hardware store, $80.00, had 70% germination. I paid $259.00. I still have bald patches. I will re-aerate and seed in the Spring.

            Nice Germination
I overseeded my lawn that had plenty of thin spots. The seeds germinated nicely despite some dryness and early fall frost for a few nights. I did not water as the area is rather large (call it lazyness). At this time, it is too early to judge how good this grass will do in summer heat and its resistance against deseases, grubs, and weeds.
