May be Okay for somthing
I have now bought 4 of these for only 3 poles. The first one that broke was during a storm, so I bought another. It came in last night so I put it up. before I could get the shade sail up the base broke in two pieces, just like the first. Now I have to drop back and punt to figure out how to put the sail up.

Lack of instructions and response from HD and manufacturer delayed...
Lack of instructions and response from HD and manufacturer delayed this project. The bolt head is too thick and caused the base to wobble. When tightening the bottom bolt to attach the mount to the post, the mount backs out and does not sit flush with the post. This requires addition leveling

I purchased three surface mounts to install a fence on a patio slab, and one mount was missing the long bolt,nut and washer. The mounts are made well. They work well even with some extra aluminum underneath to shim for plum on my undulating slab.
