Strong durable pail that I use for storing different varieties of bird seed. The lids are VERY tight right off the shelf, but I have found that hammering the lid with a small ball pein hammer all the way around from the inside where the rim meets the top loosens it up to my liking. Some of my Behrens 6 Gallon Galvanized Steel Pails are many years old and still serving their purpose out in the weather. Keeps rain and varmints away from my bird seed.

I am very pleased with this. it is not to big and not to small just perfect PERFECT!!!, we use it used charcoal it has a lid will not get wet.
I needed a small ash can for the safe storage of ashes from my fireplace prior to their disposal....

I needed a small ash can for the safe storage of ashes from my fireplace prior to their disposal.
As such, this product meets the requirement. The lid is (very) tight fitting so any live ashes are quickly smothered.
The one problem with this is that, no matter how hard I push down on the lid, I can't get the handle to rotate to the vertical position shown in the picture.
There were 10 of this item at the Home Depot I visited but the one I got was the only was the only accessible one. The others were on a shelf 8' high.
