I ordered this online and it shipped to my home without issue. I've been using this lock primarily while at the gym to lock up my locker and this has been working really well for the last couple of months. At first I was skeptical and really worried about being locked out due to a fingerprint malfunction but so far to date I have had zero issues with this padlock and I have not had to use the keys once to access the lock. Programming this was a bit tricky but once you get the feel for it, it goes rather quickly and seamlessly. You can even add multiple users to the lock to have access to it. The battery life seems to be fairly long. I've probably charged this once a month with being used twice a day, three times a week. All in all I really like this lock and feel confident in not getting locked out as a result of the fingerprint scanner.

Having a fingerprint reader on my smartphone is terrific, so having one on a padlock sounds like a good idea. I was excited to try this lock for securing my bikes in the garage to help prevent theft. The padlock is nicely packaged, but the included instructions for setting up the fingerprint reader are printed with white type on a teal blue background and in a rather small font making it difficult to ready but in a slick looking package. First I charged up the padlock using my smartphone charger and the supplied micro-USB charging cable, and took less than a couple of hours to fully charge. It took me a few tries to set up the fingerprint reader but is working well. The padlock can store up to 10 different fingerprints if you want to share with the family or friends. There are also two included keys with the padlock, which one is needed for the initial set-up. Also, good to have them for backup if the battery runs down on the padlock. Since there is no cover for the micro-USB charging port this padlock probably best for indoor use. Overall, this is a nice padlock for light to medium security and the convenience of the fingerprint reader a very nice bonus.

Works good for a gym or school locker (indoor usage) that you need frequent access to and don't want to carry a key or spin a dial. This, as with any 'finger print' type sensor, I'd suggest you program several 'fingers' (as 'other users'), in case your primary is covered with a bandage etc. Charge the internal battery when you are not at the gym / school. Comes with: 2 keys, they unlock it like a standard padlock and also enable the programming mode. 1 micro to A USB cable about 6" long, to charge the internal battery. One word of caution on the "Master User"... From their web page info: No, the "Master User", as well as the traditional key, is needed to do a "Master Reset", add fingerprints, and delete fingerprints.

Perfect for the gym, school lockers or for people who can never remember their combination or constantly loose keys i.e. teenagers. This is a great product that will allow its use by multiple users(up to 10) with out having to memorize the combination or get extra keys made. Fairly heavy, hardened steel shackle with what looks to be powder coat paint. The lock is intended to be used inside and from what I'm reading the battery life lasts approx. 6 months with normal use, longer if idle and shorter if every one you know wants to see it open with your finger. Programming took me a-bit but once I watched the BenjiLock video on the HD web site it was a snap. So recommend you watch it first prior to trying to program. You get two keys and a short USB cord, you need to make sure you know where the key are as they are the only thing that will open the lock if the battery does go. Here is what I have found with the scan pad, in order for it to open you need to put your finger in the same direction on the pad as you did when you programed the lock. It will not open if your finger is at a different angel than when you programmed it. This also goes for pushing your finger on the pad, you need to push as hard as you did when programming it. Great product for indoor use, recommended.

The benjiLock (by Hamilton) is very clever product. It takes a lille doing to get it programed finger prints, but once you've done it a few times it's pretty reliable. You first must register the master user, one this is done you can register up to 9 additional finger prints! Once done the other users don't have to remember a combination or a key. If they've brought their registered finger, they are good to go. Press you finger against the print reader (about 1"x1") in any orientation, the surround will blink blue to indicate it's reading a print, and the top led will eihter flash red (indicating not recogised) or blue to indicate success. A second or so later the lock will pop open automatically (I wished it opend faster, like when the led first blinks, but there is some delay). The lock is pretty hefty, probably weighs 5-6 oz. It includes 2 keys than can also be used to open the lock, and are needed to register users (primary(1) and secondary (9)). There is also a procedure to delete/remove registered users. They suggest charging the lock every 6mo's. It's very nice looking lock, it's not recommended for outdoor use, and this version it is not TSA approved, but they do have a smaller (less expensive version) that is TSA Approved. This is perfect for a school or gym locker, is you want to stand out with the latest cool toy. I'm impressed, really happy with the functionality.

The price is very reasonable. The quality is good. Stays charged for long time. It’s nice that it comes with key.

We set this lock up for use by two people. It worked well until it needed its first charging. Both myself and my husband cannot get it to charge. We will return. When it worked, we loved. Disappointed!!

It's too finicky sometimes it takes five or six tries to get it to open and then sometimes one or two tries.

Pretty Good Lock So Far. I Just Wish It Would Open Bit Faster And Also When Fingers Are Wet.

Great lock that is well built and easy to use once it is set up. Makes it super easy to get into my locker at the hospital. However I took off a star for the set up instructions as my husband and I found the instructions difficult to understand and missed some details that would have made it easier to set up.
