It takes a lille doing to get it programed finger prints, but once you've done it a few times it's pretty reliable. You first must register the master user, one this is done you can register up to 9 additional finger prints!
Once done the other users don't have to remember a combination or a key. If they've brought their registered finger, they are good to go. Press you finger against the print reader (about 1"x1") in any orientation, the surround will blink blue to indicate it's reading a print, and the top led will eihter flash red (indicating not recogised) or blue to indicate success. A second or so later the lock will pop open automatically (I wished it opend faster, like when the led first blinks, but there is some delay).
The lock is pretty hefty, probably weighs 5-6 oz. It includes 2 keys than can also be used to open the lock, and are needed to register users (primary(1) and secondary (9)). There is also a procedure to delete/remove registered users. They suggest charging the lock every 6mo's.
It's very nice looking lock, it's not recommended for outdoor use, and this version it is not TSA approved, but they do have a smaller (less expensive version) that is TSA Approved.
This is perfect for a school or gym locker, is you want to stand out with the latest cool toy. I'm impressed, really happy with the functionality.
