Please take note: This torch head does not have an adjustable flame … it is full blast all the time. The quality of this torch head is quite good, but it is unusable for what I bought it. I purchased this for cooking because it is necessary to have a regulated valve so the flame works when the torch is held upside down. The description of the item says "This torch is ideal for projects such as … cooking" and the product video shows it being used for cooking. But since there is no flame adjustment, it is definitely not suited for cooking! I would recommend this because it is easy start and good quality, but don't buy it if you need to be able to adjust the flame level.

Sturdy metal construction, safety lock, fast lighting pulse or continuous, all around good.
The flame is diffuse, not focused. The nozzle tip is designed to swirl the flame. Seems to spread high heat over a larger area than a focused flame.
This model does not have the ability to adjust the gas flow like the TS8000, but is less expensive.
Simple. Rugged. Quality.

2nd one purchased. Used mainly as smoke tube starter. (Pellets for my grill placed in tube, then ignited, burns like a cigarette). Trigger makes starting propane burn a so nap!
