Nice hoist. I got the 5 ton because the chain is a little bit longer than the smaller capacity chain hoists.

Big Red was able to do the job of a crane inside a hanger that a crane could not fit into. The MiG 15 jet went up with little effort and back down on to a trailer ready for transport to it's new home.

The hoist is sturdy. I've got more lifting power than I need at the moment but there are more projects coming up and it is going to come in handy.

It was kind of greasy when I got it, so I cleaned it. Bigger and heavier than I expected. The hooks are bulky so in some cases I made adapters to lift some things. It worked well as long as it was close to vertical. I wouldn't say it was great but good value for the money.

Preformed as intended

It seemed to be well made, but looks were obviously deceiving. I positioned the hoist and began pulling the hand chain to take the slack out of the load chain after about four pulls of the hand chain everything seized. After closer examination it was determined that without taking the hoist apart there would be no way to determine the issue. The only saving grace was that it broke before I had anything lifted or I may have had a real quagmire on my hands. The price was right, but obviously quality was sacrificed.

I ordered the 2 Ton. The box said 2 Ton, the serial number had the 2-Ton part number, but the sticker indicated it was a 1-Ton. I was able to verify that it is indeed a 2 Ton by specs and some testing. I was able to raise a 1600 LB load easily with one hand. If it was a 1-Ton, I would have had to pull with both hands. 5 Stars for the hoist. Nice hoist, but customer service is not very knowledgeable on the technical details as in verifying if it was a 1 or 2 Ton model. 1 Star.

Works as it should…. Heavily oiled to protect it, so some cleanup was needed/

Haven't put it to use yet! Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and NOT have it.

Chain has no corrosion protection except oil coating. Should have been plated. Works ok.

Very good for the price. The 3 ton one that i ordered arrived with the chain bound up in the pulley. It wasn't a big deal to free it up.

It worked real good. As soon as I got it I put it to work. No problems here.

We used it to repair our sidewalk which was raised because of the very big tree root, it was excellent! We never had any problem, I guess, it depends on how you hang it.

Good product, but it cam with chain stuck between wheel and cover. We had to dismantle it. Overall good product.

Great product for the use intended,It is used for attaching and removing a small sander from a piece of equipment.

I have used this to lift a few items weighing up to 1,000lbs.....it has done the job well so far. The only complaint I have is the hoist chain has a tendency to bind as the item is lifted and suspended...the "tracking" of the chain in the sprocket above the main hook has bee an issue as well it will lock up and you have to lower and reattempt.
