This fiber pad is about 1" thick and is very effective at sound deadening. Used to line a box covering an air driven diaphragm pump. Great for this type of application where it is not seen.

Just what my husband wanted.

The product was applied to the ceiling with the provided Command tape, but it was immediately evident that was going to be inadequate so four more Velcro strips two inches long was placed on the corners. All this was not enough to hold the panels to the ceiling. We have since replaced a large amount of the panels using 3M 77 spray adhesive, this currently seems to be holding. Your product did seem to help with the acoustics in the room.

Did not change amount of sound coming from return air under the central air handler. Also it does not stick to the 3M strips that come with it.

These do absolutely nothing to reduce noise. They are a waste of money, do not buy these.

Product fit project perfectly

Worked perfectly for what I was using it for. Reduced the sound coming through the wall by at least 50%.

It worked great and was easy to mount on the wall to mute the echo.

The panels cut the noise by about 15%. I placed them on the concrete floor below my HVAC inside unit. The noise reduction is great and I do not have to turn up the TV when the system comes on now. I may buy some more and put some on the studs below the system. This should cut the noise down even more. I did use double sided carpet tape instead of the pieces of tape that came with the panels. I thought there needed to be a more secure way to hold the panels so they do not get sucked up into the filter. Happy with ordering them online and picking up at the store when they arrived. They were only available online. There were none in the store. Which makes sense. No need to store a bunch of products that are not purchased a number of times. I do like that I receive my Veterans Discount on items I purchase in the store, but the discount was not available with my online order. Thanks HD for hiring and supporting Veterans.

way too dusty

They do a fair job of deadening echo. I have recessed speakers and a tv in my garage. This helps stop echo and makes the sound more pleasant. Keep in mind that sound deadening material is not the same as sound absorbing material. This helps echo but does not block sound from going thru walls.

No difference in limiting sound, but I had a difficult situation.

Didn't supply enough command strips. All the panels fell off the command strips within hours. I needed to fasten panels to wall with other materials.

These panels absorb a good big of sound for their size. I love that you can use them in all sorts of different applications (class A fire rating helps with that). One fairly big negative is they are DUSTY. I have ordered 6 boxes of these things, and this is the only way to get rid of the dust: -shake them out outside -run both a fan and an air purifier in the room you're treating. A few days of this and you should be in good shape. I failed to do this the first time and could feel it in my lungs for months. (the company should really remove the dust BEFORE shipping though..)

Not really sure if the panels have helped. Placed below a pump outside, but cannot tell if it has helped the humming.

Easy to work with but is not effective. Are you ever suspicious of solutions that seem too simple and easy? Well I was suspicious of these panels, and my suspicion was warranted.

Easy to install but waiting to see how much it helps reduce noise.

Works great to eliminate the back wave of a speaker driver in a bass reflex cabinet.

Doesnt help to stop acoustic noices. Dont spend money for this item
