Needed four holes in a tiled shower for a curved curtain rod calling for a 1/4" bit. Picked this bad boy up, marked my holes, and had all four holes drilled out in less than a minute. It was AWESOME. Made the job quick and easy. It does walk a tiny tiny bit so just take the start a little slow. It does make a mess so put some plastic down for a quick clean up. I used a trashbag and that worked for me. Seriously... This bit is the real deal. Super clean holes too.

I bought this on Monday. The bit went dull before after 2 1/4 holes were drilled. So much for getting my showerhead mounted. Used as directed with 18-V Dewalt, frequent cooling but it obviously was defective or not the quality that they claim.

The GT300 Glass and Tile Bit can be used with different tile material, however, if it is porcelain or similar material, we recommend using a diamond hole saw. You will need to start at low RPM. I used this bit to make a few dozen holes in 70 year old tile and every hole looks like it was laser cut! I also needed to drill masonry behind the tile and I just used the same bit instead of changing it. The bit still works great.

Used for drilling a partial hole in windshield to stop crack. Lubricating the drill point with wd-40 type product makes for a clean hole.

Slow and steady wins the race. Used to drill hole for fan pull chain in ceiling fan light globe replacement. Actually needed much larger hole than this but I started with small hole then switched to larger glass bit after smaller hole was complete. Bit works perfectly if you have the patience to drill slowly and always apply consistent pressure (no side-to-side wobbling). To protect against "skittering" of bit across glass when starting, I taped piece of cardboard to surface of glass first - then drilled through both it and glass. Hole came out perfectly round with no chipping...
They don't last very long if they are not water down after about 30 seconds of use.
