great for mortar removal and making cuts to tile
This attachment is excellent for making corrective cuts to tile and removing mortar in between tiles. I had cracked a tile and instead of pulling the whole tile that was no longer available in stores, I made a corrective cut to embrace the crack and grouted it. I used it with my milwaukee m12 oscilating tool.

This grout removal tool is a little pricey compared to the reciprocating saw variants; nonetheless, it has proved invaluable. The key is dexterity! Without this kind of tool, I would have most certainly damaged tile where there are 90 degree grout line intersections. Even with the Oscillating tool I managed to nick the tile a bit. It would have been hopeless with a reciprocating saw. You can see on the image the small nick I made when I touched the tile. It would have been a disaster with the reciprocating saw. I'm glad I spent the extra money. It cleans up the thin-set reasonably fast albeit slower than the reciprocating saw. But control is everything!!!

great in the corners, poorly in-between the floor tiles
The blade worked great in the corners. It fell apart in-between the floor tiles. The carbide flakes started peeling / falling off a good 30minutes into its use.
It was clear in the first 5 minutes that the hybrid blade was not going to "cut it" long term. The construction of the hybrid is weak. There is a big difference in the effectiveness of removing the grout between the hybrid and the "grout removal" blade.
Compare both and you'll notice the layers of carbide on the hybrid is very light...no wonder that bare metal was starting to show. I attached a photo of it.
I returned it to HD for a refund. I took the refund and bought another. Yes I did. I need it for my second bathroom makeover. Ill keep it for the 90 only.

Expensive, but such a great product
I've gone through about 5 of these in the past year with work on grout removal and grinding/cleanup work on basement slabs and preformed concrete foundations. I used them with my Bosch Oscillating tools and although they are expensive, they work really well and certainly get the job done. The only issue I had was when using them to remove a modified grout in a shower pan. That grout was harder than anything I've ever encountered and it wore these blades out very quickly. Also, if you're trying to use these to cut through stones in concrete, you'll have excessive premature wear on the blade. Otherwise, they are fantastic for many different applications.
