I love the sander. Much better than the one I was using. Does a nice job at the variable speed’s. I’ve had no issues.

Works well. Attached to a vacuum cleaner allows dust free sanding.

I’ve been using the dual action Bosch sander for all my sanding needs for the past year or so. I love that sander as well but it is big. I’ve needed a palm sander for a long time and being so happy with the Bosch Dual Action, I went with the Bosch 5in variable speed orbital palm sander. I almost went with Festools and I am glad I didn’t. I have used Festools Rotex and their orbital sanders and I can say that I made the right decision. The dust collection is flawless when attached to an extractor or shop vac. There is very minimal vibration, it’s even less when in contact with the work piece. It is quiet and very easy to control. I’ve read bad reviews complaining about the low power. A 2.5mm stroke is not optimal for stock removal. So no, it’s not going to eat through layers of thick paint as fast as some other sanders. The low speeds are for buffing and polishing.Those bad reviews on my opinion, are not bad reviews but bad reviewers. I can get a glass finding with the dual action but now that I have both sanders, they will be used more pointed to what each were designed to do. This sander has changed the way I sand things now. I can’t say enough about it, using everything from dewalt to festool, I’ll stick with Bosch. My hope is they make corded versions of the detail sanders that only have the cordless versions here in the US. Please Bosch! Bring the corded versions to the states!

My older 3287DVS Bosch Random Orbital Sander was not working, so I started to look to find a replacement, and I found it at Home Depot. The price was right and the shipment was very quick direct to my home. I have used it once, and it seems to be a suitable replacement for that older Bosch sander. All in all, it was a good find and purchase!

Bosch is the best orbital sander in quality and in price!

The sander works great, but I’ve had problems getting the dust collection canister back together after emptying it.

Quite, clean and effective. I replaced a 13 year old, well used Porter Cable, good improvement..

Wish I would have bought one sooner

I love almost everything about this sander! It seems well built and the speed control is nice. Unfortunately the hard plastic design of the dust collection seems very brittle, the tool was knocked off of my workbench, which happens from time to time, just a few weeks after purchase, and cracked the dust collection casing, I don't have a large dust collection system, so I depend on what comes with my tools, and now it difficult to use with dust exploding everywhere, and it doesn't seem like I can purchase a replacement part.

It’s is everything I was looking for. It’s just a little hard to get the top off the residue dispenser, but otherwise great!

Works well and fairly easy to clean out. The vacuum hose adapter is small so most people will need to find something to adapt to their own vacuum as will I.

The Bosch orbital sander was the perfect tool for diy kitchen cabinet refinishing. I sanded the cabinet frames, doors and drawers in no time and they were beautifully prepped to prime and paint. Minimal dust and you can also hook it up to your dust vac

Stock removal is fair as is dust collection.

It's a great little sander. No problems I've been sanding for hours every day and it hasn't overheated or broken or anything. I really like it.

Started running slow after few hours of use. Don’t recommend.

Little vibration transferring to my hand. I used a Shop Vac with the included adapter and the only problem I had here was, as long as the Vac was running, the hose stayed connected, Once I would turn it off, the hose would drop out of the fitting. The included 80 Grit did a qood job of the first sanding, but did not last like the Craftsman's 80 Grit, which fits great. I saw no swirl marks after 80 Grit sanding, so I knew I would have no problem with the other grades of grit, which I didn't.

Wow, is this sander quiet! Very smooth, light-weight and easy to use! We love this sander!
