This is not a plug-in unit. It takes heavy wiring. It needs a dedicated circuit. It might be ok with new construction but if you want an easy under the sink heater get a Bosch ES4 not this.

ArizonaHandyman, Yes, the Tronic 3000 model US3 is a hard wired unit and does require a 30 Amp breaker. Many customers find these units work great in their homes where space is too tight for a mini-tank. We are glad you found the ES4 mini-tank as a good option for your application.

It would be helpful to state what size water lines...
It would be helpful to state what size water lines come with it as they did not match our existing water lines. In addition to having the electrician install it, we had to have a plumber install the new lines. That said, all of this could probably be done by the end user, but this is for a business and the owners are too busy.

I found our once I had received the product that...
I found our once I had received the product that I should not be installed on the hot water line to boost its heat... which was what I had intended it to do. So product is most likely good, but not for my situation.

For a boosting application we suggest using one of our mini-tank water heaters. These are available on Homedepot.com and are models ES2.5, ES4, and ES8.

After installation water temperature would not get hot, only warm....
After installation water temperature would not get hot, only warm. Contacted Bosch support and after going through diagnostic test with tech it was determined that circuit board was bad. New board was shipped under warranty. Somewhat aggravating, however Bosch Technical rep was through and accommodating. After changing out the parts and limited use (unit installed in shop not home) it seems to be working fine.
