These are slick 1/4 turn shutoff valves. I like the trim design to make them unobtrusive in the vanity. Note that they are shipped in the open position so you don't install them and accidentally leave them turned on when you turn back on the house water supply.

I upgraded to these quarter turn supply valves when I changed out my kitchen faucet, they are fairly simple to install and they don’t leak when you turn off the valve like the old traditional valves that I had. So far they work very well and I plan on changing the rest of my faucet shut off valves to these BrassCraft quarter turn valves.

Caveat in this review.... I'm recommending based upon solely on ease of installation and initial flawless functionality. I purchased this device to replace what appears to be an identical part, although it may have been from another manufacturer... soft goods inside disappeared making the original (probably 8-10 years old) useless; and adding insult to injury, the fragged innards of the failed 1/4 turn valve continued downstream and made the toilet float valve fail. I have no idea how a quarter turn shutoff valve frags, it is a first one on me. Previously, I have always made a point to replace failed gate valves with ones like this; now with a quarter turn failure under my belt, what's a homeowner to do? Anyway, if this one fails in a similar manner quickly and I'm allowed, I will update the review.

Installed two new ones on a piece of 1/2" type m copper pipe. Could not tighten enough to keep from leaking. Looking at the inside mating surface the metal conical end has been replace with some kind of plastic fitting. The image shows the difference between the new valve and the old style mating interface.

Helping to do a complete bathroom remodel and needed to replace the old shut-offs for the sink and toilet. I bought these because they were 1/4 turn to shut off. They are much easier and quicker to shut off the water supply. They were pretty straight forward to install (assuming you understand how a compression fitting works). The entire project took about an hour. Most of that time was spent cleaning up the cooper tubing of years of oxidation, paint and other things that get on the tubing. Also had to cut down the amount of tubing coming out of the wall for the toilet supply. Installing all three shut-off valves themselves probably only took about 20 minutes.
Exactly what I needed, easy to install. Less than 10 minutes, after you turn off the water.
