Bought this to replace a 5-year-old garbage Hampton Bay fan (Home Depot's house brand) because they no longer sell replacement motors for it. Easy, solid installation and super efficient + quiet.

Finally, these manufacturers got a glue about designing a fan that doesn't require a bunch of drywall and painting included in the process. Reminds me of when American Standard came out with the Champion toilet. Bravo. It's about time. This is my now go-to fan design.

This is a nice fan but noisy. I already have a Panasonic exhaust fan. Compared to Panasonic this fan is noisy. Installation was not difficult and I managed to install with both the ceiling support and also screwed in joist support. But when I turn the fan on there is a low rattling sound while it is running. I used to have a 20 year old Nutone fan that went bad and this was the replacement. This fan is as noisy as my old fan while it was working. The old fan was 2 Sones.

Easy to install, quiet even in a small space, good value

Installation is not as easy as previous Broan retrofits I have used. In particular, there are no tabs to hold fan in place in housing (like previous Broan versions) while trying to insert the screws to hold it in place and the screws are not captured, so it takes 3 hands to install the fan into the case.

Purchased this one because; 1) Price was right 2) Either 3" or 4" option exhaust opening 3) Familiar with the Nutone brand 4) Good CFM's 5) Clean low profile finished look 6) Low noise and no vibrations

Great fan. Easy install. Like the tabs near each of the corners which ensure that the unit sits flush to the ceiling. Great for a retro-fit install compared to other retro-fit options out there (I've tried them).

It is very easy to install. It is not very quiet, but the noise is acceptable. You can purchase other super silent models, but you must have the stud to install them. Easy installation trades off for noise.

This is a great product if you are replacing an older Broan or NuTone 50 CFM ceiling fan. The unit installs easily, and is very quiet. My only recommendation is to watch several videos explaining how to cut the hole. My recommendation is to watch several of the online videos explaining how to install the fan. Cutting the ceiling to remove the fan isn't always a good idea. You will be cutting into ceiling without knowing where the wires and vent tube are located. I recommend removing the old vent through the existing hole, locating the stud, then using the enclosed cardboard template to cut the proper sized hole aligned with the stud. From then on, the installation is a breeze.

Quiet fan. Although relatively easy to install, I had 2 issues. The electrical cable was not long enough to reach the far side compared to my old fan, therefore had to install a junction box. Secondly, the exhaust vent is 4" but it is elliptical in shape (reason being to fit between joists). I wish there would be an adapter to 4" or 5" (like there is to 3"). In my case I to to jury-rig a relatively stiff 5" aluminum tube (not pretty).

Easy to install product, but be VERY careful when cutting the ceiling. The instructions tell you to cut around the old box. I don't recommend following these instructions. Other reviewers give the same advice. Old NuTone 50 cfm fans were often installed in strange ways. It's better to remove the box through the hole in the ceiling, then evaluate the best placement for the new box. In my case following the directions wouldn't have worked and left me with a LARGE hole in the ceiling that needed patching.

Good trade off of price and features . Installation was fairly easy and well documented. Like feature where you cut hole then use tabs to lock in place on the gyproc . Easy to remount motor/fan using two screws and keyed plug for power. Unit is quiet to run and good airflow. Liked 3 inch outflow as I was able to use 3 inch abs/pvc pipe to direct moisture out of atttic area.

So easy to install. When they installed the fan back when the house was new. They had to use the cheapest fan the could find. Noisy this morning. Two hours later. No noise

The fan was very easy to install so I bought a second one. I have rigid exhaust duct and with the ample hole cut in the ceiling it was very easy to cut the duct to size (I had to make the vent smaller as my ducts are 3").

Great fan. Quite.

I had a 3" pipe and this was one of the few fans available that fit that size. My old fan was very loud and this one cuts noise in half but nowhere near quiet. It is also very large especially installed in a powder room. I can't complain about level or noise or size since it is definitely an improvement but will look elsewhere to find replacement for other bathrooms.

As a novice handy-person, I found installation was relatively straightforward. Perfect for those with no attic access (eg. live in a condo, etc.). Took about 2-3 hrs total. Plenty of resources online / youtube to show you how to do this DIY. My existing fan had rigid ducting to I spent some time scratching my head how to connect this. Manual does not state this but eventually I came to the conclusion you need to add flex ducting in order to do a retrofit install of this fan. (Tip: Don't use the vinyl-style flex ducting, because it creates an annoying fluttering sound when fan is on) Other than that hiccup, the install was a breeze. Happy with the results. It's not completely silent, but definitely a lot quieter than the 20 yr old Broan unit it replaced and a lot more efficient at drawing out moisture. Will probably get another one to replace my second (also loud) bathroom fan.
