i purchased this fan for a complete bathroom remodel. The bathroom size is 9ft x 6.5ft with 8ft ceiling. Installation went just fine, build quality seems pretty good, I was a little nervous when I turned it on for the first time. Its so quiet that I couldnt see how it could move air. When you put your hand up to it it doesn't feel like much air is moving. I also installed the recommended pass&saymor timer which is great, never have to worry about turning off the fan before all of the moisture is out of the bathroom. This morning I forgot to turn it on and I could tell the room was filling with steam and the mirror was starting to show it. Turned it on and poof in no time the room was clear. definate recommendation from me.

works well
This fan really moves a lot of air when used with the 6" duct that it requires. It isn't silent but is many times quieter than any other fan I've installed (I've done several, but they were all 4" ducts.) I recommend putting it on a timer switch because of the amount of air it moves and how quiet it is. It's easy to forget that it's running and At 110 CFM it will completely change the air in most bathrooms in about 5 minutes. The only reason I didn't 5 stars is because the design of the fan box makes it tough to install properly. It has a flange that should overlap the drywall on the ceiling and a nailing flange that won't allow it to be installed that way from above or below. I had to straighten the flange, put the box in the hole, then bend the flange back to its original position. A real pain in the neck. Everything else is awesome, highly recommend it.

optimal for new work...
This is a good exhaust fan... designed for new work installation. Not so easy to install in a closed up ceiling.
Took a bit of patching after the fact (the flanges protrude from the body significantly)

purrs
I wanted an exhaust fan that did one thing. This unit although bigger than I thought it would be does a wonderful job. I do know that is on but it's only a gentle whisper of a noise. It is very quick to provide it's need so it's not on long. I tell everyone buy a quality exhaust fan it's worth the money.

Quiet & Effective
I bought this fan for a small bathroom with poor ventilation. It works well. With the fan on, the room does not steam up after showers. It is also quiet. I recommend putting the fan on a timer switch, otherwise it is so quiet one might forget to turn it off.

Excellent exhaust fan...
This is a great fan. It's VERY quiet and vacates the air well. I had expected a little more withdrawal from a 110 CFM unit, but it does the job very well so I can't complain. I'd buy another!

Quiet and moves the air. No regrets.
I bought two of these for a remodel of the shower in the bedroom and a guest bathroom. I selected this model over the QTREN110 remodel version because this model is 1 sone quieter. I assume most of that quiet is due to the 6" ducting.
With a little modification to the metal cabinet, both installations went fairly easily.
PERFORMANCE: Very quiet. My flooring contractor, commenting on how quiet these were, asked where I got 'em, so I assume he was impressed.
Definitely able to move the air. I tried to overload the fan in the bedroom shower by turning on both showers at their highest temperature and flow. After ~5 minutes, I still didn’t see signs of steam escaping across the room to the mirrored wardrobes. They fog up in about 30 seconds without the fan.
Installations included Pass & Seymour RT1WCCV4 timers, which I also highly recommend.

Nutone QTXEN110 Bath Fan
Basically a QTRN 110 with a quieter operation. I love the QTRN 110 but some find it a bit too noisy. This fan at 0.7 sones is basically twice as quiet as the QTRN 110 at 1.5 sones. Both move the air adequately. So if you want very quiet and are willing to spend a little more, this is the fan for you. I like to vent these as short and directly as possible using smooth wall ridgid ducting for optimum air movement via minimum resistance.

An Excellent Fan!
This fan is so quiet you hardly notice it's running, yet it clears the bathroom of steam from a shower so well that there's just a small fringe of fog at the top of the vanity mirror.
