I had these put into my new house by the home builder. They do get plugged up with dirt very easily so you have to clean them and the cover doesn't come off and on easily. I had one that I had to completely take the cover off and the red wire to the humidity sensor came off and it stopped working. That little sensor plug is not well built. Otherwise the other fans are working great and turn off and on when humidity is sensed, even when the power switch is in the off position.

Fan works but continued issues with the humidity sensor. Sensor controller has already been replaced once under warranty but within a year, it is having undesired operation again. The fan will randomly turn on in the middle of the day in a low humidity (30%) environment. When working correctly; during a shower, the fan will cycle on and off in 5 minute intervals until the humidity is below 80%. High airflow and quiet fan works great otherwise. Replaced a very noisy fan.

The unit was received on time and in good condition. I installed it in a second bath without much difficulty. I ran a 6" diameter insulated flex duct to a roof vent. I installed an optional wall switch with GFCI per the instructions. After many tries during my initial attempt to operate the unit, I was unable to get the humidity sensor to react properly. My trouble shooting indicated it was most likely a bad humidity sensor. I'm a mechanical engineer so I have a pretty good understanding of how it should be working in conjunction with the timer and humidity settings. After informing Broan of the problem, they sent me a replacement control unit rather than the humidity sensor I expected. Not sure why. I replaced the control unit and that did not fix the problem. Once again, I informed Broan and explained that my trouble shooting indicated the problem is with the humidity sensor, not likely the control unit. They then sent me a replacement sensor assembly (cover with sensor attached). I replaced that cover assembly and was then able to get the sensor to work as it should, i.e., timer setting and humidity setting. The unit has worked well since then (a few months of operation now) however on occasion, the blower does not shut off automatically as it should per the timer and sensor setting. I believe this issue was mentioned in the instructions as probably due to abrupt changes in the ambient temperature and humidity. I am able to turn the unit off with the on-off switch wall switch I installed. It has always then reset ok after turning its power back on with the switch. I would definitely recommend installing an on-off switch (per the instructions) so that you have manual control when / if needed. I plan to install another ventilation fan in master bath, but I'm considering another option due to this issue. Although it is a minor issue, the inconvenience may be too much for the average homeowner.

Decided on this unit to replace old Broan fan in bathroom. Great decision on my part. The fan was easily installed and so quiet its almost hard to hear. I highly recommend this product.

Tho it is a little expensive it seems to move a fair amount of air and it is super quiet , I had to look with the cover off to make sure that it was running . The install was straight forward , the build quality was adequate. There are sharp edges on the sheet metal so be warned and wear gloves while maneuvering into place . The instructions could use better description as to what wire to use if you are not using the humidity sensor or timer , Very confusing .

My kids would either forget to turn the fan off or not turn it on. The sensor and timer work great. Easy to hook up

I purchased this for it's noise level and humidity sensor because I did not have the wiring to add an independent timer. Generally this unit works very well and it is nice not having to remember to flip a switch as it automatically turns on when the humidity increases from the shower. However, on really humid days, the ambient humidity in the attic/exhaust vent duct is enough to trip the humidity sensor and turn on the fan. This becomes problematic in the summer when the unit keeps turning on and evacuating air conditioned air.

The unit was easy to install at a decent price. The settings are a nice feature that you can customize when it comes on & how long it runs for. It's more than just a blower you turn on & off. A lot quieter than the unit it replaced.

Bought this while remodeling my master bathroom and was worth every penny!! Very quite and does a great job moving air. I take very hot showers and you can't even tell with this fan. Will be getting another one for my other bathroom. Only problem was with the flapper that keeps from having back flow but one call and a replacement part was on its way!!

Very easy to install. Great help from a Braon Rep. (via phone) to make this even quieter & mor efficient. Hardly hear it run. This fan has cleared up an on-going moisture problem in the bathroom at shower time.

Humidity sensing and turn off timer are excellent features, both adjustable, work as advertised, and provide exceptional ease of use. The unit is so quiet it is very helpful it turns itself off. The one thing I would consider doing differently is sizing it better for my bathroom. I bought the 110CFM for my 65 square feet which is a little over kill. I probably should have used a smaller fan and could have used a 4" duct rather than 6". I will definitely buy another Broan sensing for my next bathroom remodel.

This fan comes in when needed without any issues. It was worth every dime.

I don't know that I would agree that this fan is very quiet. But it is quieter and moves more air than the builder grade fan that we got with the house. Part of the problem with the noise from the fan might be due to the vaulted ceiling in the bathroom, Since it doesn't sit level it seems it rocks a little bit that may cause the extra noise. I definitely recommend using a timer switch for any bathroom fan. It's nice to be able to set it to 10 minutes on the way out so it will continue to suck the moisture out after you've left the bathroom but will automatically shut off.

Light bleeding through air vents was not expected and is annoying . Night light burns constantly was not expected. Disappointing.

Fan works well as advertised. I would purchase this fan again.

Exhaust fan works fine but nothing we have done has gotten the humidity function to work. We could have gotten a much less expensive exhaust fan. We got a different Broan fan for the guest bath. We love it. It has a heater, exhaust, light, and night light. Heats quickly and exhausts well.

We had this professionally installed, but they had no problems installing it. Love the automatic humidity sensor! No more yelling at the kids to turn the fan on and the night light feature is great for the middle of the night bathroom trips! Very happy with this product!

No problems very quiet, easy installation, easy to keep clean.
