The floor is nothing like the sample. It is super shinny and way too slippery. It looks really fake. We have fallen many times in the 2 weeks since install. There are several pieces that are skinnier in the center than at the ends and therefore cause gapping that is suspectable to damage from spills. I will be calling home Depot Monday and demanding assistance with this matter, as this is all going to need to be removed and the entire install will have been a horrible waste of time.

Color is very inconsistent from box to box. Some of the boards are so short they are worthless unless you want the floor to look like a jigsaw puzzle. Also beware it looks like BLOOD on at least 2-3 pieces in each box. I ordered 17 boxes and have 3 boxes of small pieces left over. I would expect something a little nicer for the price of this product. Little disappointing.

The guest bedroom flooring had been put off for a couple of years after having finished the rest of the house with this product. We were concerned that we could not find flooring to match but it looks like I had done it all out of the same cartons. We really like the results and enjoy the compliments we receive from friends. It's easy to care for and we like it very much. Thank you.

I purchased this when it was on sale for $2.49 at Home Depot in 2013. Was professionally installed glue-down and has worn absolutely beautifully. Cleaning was a breeze with my homemade distilled vinegar diluted with water and a few special essential oils {don't bother with pre-made specialty cleaners or murphys as they leave a horrible film}. Cannot express enough the incredible value of this product. Mistakenly moved a dresser with nail that scratched deep but was able to repair with Walnut stain so it is unnoticeable. HD didn't carry matching Bull or T-Nose thresholds, so I purchased the Red Oak and used a Walnut stain which matched perfectly. You cannot go wrong with this product -> high end look without the price and simply divine to walk on!

Did a 1200 sqft install on concrete slab 1 year ago now. It's been a excellent product and I would HIGHLY recommend. Durability is fantastic, its very hard to scratch. Spills, IF YOU BEAT IT TIGHT TOGETHER are not an issues, can't say enough about how well it's performing. We've had no deformation what so ever. We used Bostik Greenforce adhesive, an amazing product on its own, with no issues at all. Greenforce is a water barrier and adhesive. No warping, splitting, pops, etc., etc. One other major advantage for the DIY install, spoilage or waste is less than 1%. with the random lengths and a little patience one can fit each row with minimal cutoffs, unlike the pros who aren't paying for it and are on the clock. This is presuming a square install vs on a bias which needless to say will require the 5-10% typically needed.

This flooring is great quality, very durable, and feels good on your feet. We put it in the kitchen first, then we went back and bought more to do the entire house.

I actually already wrote this review once, but my photo never got published. I felt it was really important to add a photo so everyone could see how gorgeous the flooring is. So I'm reposting my review for this reason. :) We actually ended up buying this flooring for $2.49 a square foot because of a random sale they had in the store. We saved so much money. It was exactly what we were looking for! We are extremely pleased with it. Besides the fact that it is pretty scratched up thanks to our 70 pound dog, but we knew what we were getting into by choosing wood over vinyl/laminate etc. It is such a beautiful color. It brings a new level of cozy to our home. Would order again for sure.

Floor was great at a good price. I had purchased a remnant lot from another and had to get the balance from Home Depot. When I ordered on line I found out that they would not deliver it to my local store because they didn't normally carry that particular color, etc. I had to have it delivered to another store 20 miles away. So ridiculous. Customer Service simply said it was policy. If the store doesn't sell it they won't ship there. Also wanted to do the hardwood up the stairs only to find out they don't have stair parts for this line. Had to buy unfinished bullnose and quarter round and stain to match to complete the project.

..we purchased this for my husband's office as a test area when an interior water "event" ruined the carpet and ceramic tile in the front portion of our home. The outcome was so stunning, we ordered it for the rest of the damaged areas. I fell in love with this "Apple Cinnamon" color based on (1) the sample photo above, and (2) on customer reviews/photos here. And yet after searching many flooring websites and products, I kept coming back here. Frankly, coupled with Bruce's (Armstrong's) residential flooring warranty and product specs, it was difficult to find a comparable contender. After several weeks of investigative research, and the fact that our local Home Depot had this on sale in-store for $10. less per box than the online price--for us the deal was then closed. Our expert installer made installation look as easy as frosting a cake. Only disappointment so far? The "matching" Bruce Apple Cinnamon T-molding. (See that review elsewhere in this site). Clean up? Use the recommended products and you will not be disappointed. P.S. I will follow up after our foyer and home's main hallway are completed (Next review will NOT be a fuzzy photo!).

High quality engineered wood and half the price of others I was searching for. Installation was easy. Had to install on steps as well. Stair nosing was a little tricky but main floors went very well. Can't beat the pricing.

We installed this in our entire house, excluding bathrooms, 2,000 sq ft by ourselves and it was pretty easy. Most complicated part was leveling the floors. After having them for 1.5yrs now, we've found that they've been a little hard to maintain. We've tried a variety of methods to clean and polish but they still seem a little dull. They scratch easily. We have light scratches on our floors just from a cat. They do seem a little noisy so I would recommend either floating them on the thickest underlayment possible, meaning most expensive, or glueing them. We did run across a lot of bent pieces and had some difficulty pounding them tightly into place. We used the float method with glue as recommended on the instructions but still seem to have some areas where the boards did not fit tight enoughso there's a tiny gap, not a big deal but you can see the light area from the non-stained engineered wood underneath. Nothing some stain can't fix. Overall, we're replacing them now with solid bamboo found at HD for only $3 per square foot and is 72" in length and 1/2" thick. Higher Janka rating so we're hoping they'll hold up better and be easier to clean. It's a beautiful floor but not for us.

I'm very impressed with this hardwood flooring by Bruce flooring. I was very skeptical at first of having it installed. After extensive researching I chose this hand scraped Vermont syrup based on the color, which was a plus. After the floor was installed I've received numerous compliments from family, friends and neighbors! Even the installer stated he was considering installing this floor in his home. If you're serious about upgrading your floors, take a look at this product.

I hired someone to put in this floor for me but it seemed like a lot of work. It took the guy about 12 hours to install 400 sq feet. I really like how the floor looked and feels to walk on!

This flooring was on sale in the store. I bought 600sq. feet for two rooms. I paid to have installed. It went down fast and easy. It looks very good. I have a hint of cinnamon coloring in my cabinets. This floor matches well. I suggest you bye an extra box, because I had to pull 3/4 of a box and replace pieces that were damaged or the knots were too rough. Home Depo exchanged these damaged pieces with a new box. I am very pleased with the finished product so far.

We installed this flooring about 6 months ago and it looks just the same as day one - Beautiful. The floor is in the kitchen and living/dining room and gets a lot of use. I keep it clean using a liquid hardwood cleaner in my Libman Freedom Mop. After reading the insert and calling the manufacturer we installed the floor as a floating floor and gluing the joints. The floor is hickory and according to the manufacturer it should not be stapled. Be sure to get your subfloor level as per the insert. It is worth the time and effort. We missed one spot and I can feel the floor shifting slightly there when walked on. Other than that no issues. We also used an underlayment with a foil covering over a foam - rated best level at another store. I have since seen a similar product at Home Depot. Be sure to mix your boxes well as the colors do vary.

After searching many engineered floor brands and styles I kept coming back to this Bruce flooring. I was sceptical since the price was such a value that the quality would suffer but I was wrong. Great quality with almost no waste and it fit perfectly for a very easy and smooth installation. It was sooo much better than a previous Lumber Liquidator Solid Bellawood floor that was awful to install. Once down the floor looks great. With the hickory grain and handscraped finish it doesn't show nails, nicks or scratches when covered with a brown Sharpie. Very happy with our choice!

The hand-scraped look to the floor helps to hide any future dings, nicks, etc. Extremely low maintenance and the medium color helps to bring depth to all of the rooms it was installed in (living, dining/kitchen, hallway, stairs, and bedroom). Only possible downside I can see to the floor is the finish on the top may peel down the road but it is too early to determine at this point.

I have never laid hardwoods. This was very easy to install!!! And WOW!!!! Beautiful!!

First, HD did an excellent job taking care of this. I would have had to drive 4 hrs for my online order to return to store. They arranged pickup. Poor quality control. I gave this several chances. Looks like sawdust in deep grain. I wire brushed some of it out and used a wet rag. The wood is not stained in the deep grain or the sawdust is so fine that I cannot get it out. Looked ok inside house but take it out in sunlight and one sees unstained like wood in deep grain. 95% of boards.
