poor quality wood. knots and inconsistent grain

Board was delivered meeting expectations. No damage.

Overall, very good. However, one board had a 3 inch edge missing and a couple boards had some sapwood. I think I can hide the imperfections.

For the most part all the boards were useable couple were missing some really good chunck

Good to find a source of hardwood. The cherry boards are very good quality with no defects.

I had purchased 2 pieces of 1x6x8 cherry hardwood. They were wrapped in cardboard to protect them. When I opened the package I found them to be blemish free and of excellent quality. I wouldn’t hestitate to reorder from Home Depot when I need more.

ordered 4-pack of 1x2x8 and 2-pack of 1x4x8. both 1x4's good, 3 of 4 1x2's good. 4th 1x2 can be partially used for short lengths. this is good for solid cherry (these are not big trees). I didn't know home depot carried this. ordered 1st from local builder supply; had to send it all back.

Wood was nice and straight with clean edges. Was well packed for shipping. Reasonably priced and arrived on time.

what I was lookin for

While in the process of building a solid cherry bed from kiln dried S2S "rough" lumber, I came up two boards short. I decided to give this item a try to expedite project completion. One board was perfect - the second had a significant sized knot. Not an issue for the project. Allow for waste...

I ordered 10 pieces and all were straight and flat. There was very little waste due to cracks or knots. I could not have picked out boards any better at my usual lumberyard. I will order these again for my next project.

The board was straight. The grain and quality of wood was excellent. Couldn't ask for more.

The cherry wood boards are of good quality and have very smooth finishes on the wide sides. They came very straight with no visible deformation at all. Will use them to make large picture frames.

Material looks good. Was packaged very well, however I didn't get to look at all the pieces yet.

One board was an inch longer and the other one was almost an inch short of 8 ft. One of the boards had very nice wood grains. The other boards wood grain was not very good at all. It looked like the tree was diseased. I will never order wood online again. Never know what someone will pick.

I waited two weeks for the delivery and when I opened the package the end of a board was split. Had to send it back.

I was thrilled to find Home Depot as a source for the hardwoods my father loves to work on in his workshop! ....and a great price too!

For what you're paying ($10.+/board foot) I would expect straight and square boards. Most were not...but, yes, finished on 4 sides.
