The birds enjoy this cake!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this cake out this morning and I already have birds fighting over it! It’s nice to see different birds come to eat the suet. I got this through a cash back program to try for free. I wasn’t sure this cake would attract the birds, but I was wrong!

Keeps the squirrels away but attracts a wide variety of birds.
Once the squirrels discovered my suet feeder it was all out war, a war that the squirrels were winning until I started using this suet. It single handedly defeated the enemy. The little buggers won't come within 3 feet of it now after getting a taste of that hot pepper.
The birds seem to love it. I have a wide variety of birds that are regular visitors. This is the only suet cake that I use year round.

Home Depot consistently has the best price and most consistent supply for this product. Moreover, the birds in our back yard absolutely LOVE this suet - having chosen it over various others in "side by side" comparisons. From Stellar's Jays to Northern Flickers to various songbirds and the occasional Pileated Woodpecker, they all appear very fond of this suet. Moreover - unlike other brands/varieties - this hot pepper suet is of no interest to our neighborhood squirrels. I'd highly recommend it, and Home Depot as a reliable source.
