It is rare that a product meets my expectations as this does. The greenhouse is cleverly designed to make a watertight structure with just a Phillips head screw gun, a 10 mm ratchet and socket, and a 10 mm open end wrench. I built and leveled a 4x4 base and put in a 2 inch gravel floor and this doubled the overall construction time from 6 hours (for the structure) to 12 for the whole project. The instructions are very detailed but you do need to be mechanically inclined to follow them. I would advise looking a page or two ahead to make certain you understand what the end result will be following the current step. I liked that the parts were (mostly) numbered and there were very few different types of mounting hardware. A few steps are easier with someone to help holding something, but most of the build can be done solo. I had pictured the polycarbonate panels as flat sheets but they are not, as each sheet is molded into three sections for strength. They are thinner than I expected but seem to be extremely tough. They come stacked together and difficult to peel apart, but if you start at one each end and peel towards the middle the come right apart. The only issue I had was that, because the framing is made of aluminum which is soft (but doesn't rust), the ends on a couple of pieces were bent on the ends. A pair of pliers and a flat- bladed screw driver straightened them out with no problem. The ends are not visible anywhere, but act as key ways for fitting together and sliding screws into place, so they needed to be pushed back into their original shape. As a finishing touch I ordered black plastic 5 gallon buckets and lids that I am going to fill with water and stack two high in each corner. Hopefully these will provide a heat sink during the day to help keep the temperature up at night. Overall I am pleased with what I got for the price.

I am very happy with my Palram Greenhouse purchase! The kit was shipped in 2 parts, and was relatively easy to set up. I would have loved to have had an additional window vent on the far wall of the greenhouse, but overall I am quite happy! I thought it was going to be quite small, but I am surprised by how many plants I was able to get inside! I have received several compliments from my friends and neighbors, and passersby have slowed down to have a better look! The greenhouse materials seem pretty sturdy and should last me several years. I really like that this particular greenhouse has the ability for me to lock the door if I have the need to. It tends to be quite cool with limited sunlight in my yard. The greenhouse addition has really helped and my plants are doing great! I would recommend this product to others!

    Love it!
My hubby got this for me last spring. It wintered over very well. I will be using it as a green house as soon as the weather stays above freezing over night. Then I will switch it over to house my Monarch eggs, caterpillars, and chrysalides. Then off they will go to my flower gardens!

It would have been easier to assembly if 10mm lug wrench was included. I was unable to fit corner pieces on, but it does the job of keeping rats and squirrels away from vegetables in plant tower. Instead of the polycarbonate, I put bird netting in the flap, so the bees can still kiss the flowers.

Looks cute, very nicely made. Super frustrating at times trying to decipher the images and had to redo things a few times to get it right. I am a novice at such projects. But I finally succeeded and feel thrilled with it! Took me 3 days of non-intensive effort but needed the breaks.

Excellent Greenhouse, you will love it!
Very sturdy, not too difficult to put up but I recommend two people to put it together. Follow pictures. The best part of the whole thing is not just the quality of the greenhouse but customer service is excellent. I had an issue with a defective piece. I called the number provided and within one week received the part at no cost to me. Wow! Not only is this a beautiful functioning greenhouse, its backed by an incredible reliable company who are there to answer any question and help with any problem you may have. I do recommend you plan your base. I tried on ground using step stones but changed to concrete blocks to set it on and square step stones inside. Also added a mister hose inside along peak beam and an electric fan. I had a little trouble keeping vent window to stay in place. My trick was two block magnets, one inside and one outside acting as a little ledge to keep window from sliding off. The vent arm was supposed to keep it in place but kept coming off. Thats really the only issue I have with it. I also added shade cloth to inside but may drape it to outside held with more double magnets. I’m in the north Central Florida area and even though its Match now it gets pretty hot inside. Im starting seeds, growing herbs, a couple orchids and exotics. I haven’t filled it up yet. Hurricane season will be a test. I have it anchored with stakes in cement in the blocks. Theres holes along base to add the stakes and I have cables to go over the roof on outside to attach to longer hurrricane stakes. I think my greenhouse will hold up better than shingles on my house. I really love my greenhouse! I know you will too. Great product! Great team behind it!!!!

        fantastic little GH
I am pleased with this purchase. The instructions are clear and concise, all the hardware is included, with some extras in the event you lose a nut or something. My 10 year old daughter and I asembled it in about the 6 hours quoted in the booklet. Before starting to erect GH, I recommend constructing a foundation from wood, we did not use concrete as we wish our GH to be only semi-permanent, its our first year, and we may wish to relocate it. We used wood, drilled holes in the corners and pounded rebar about 12” into the ground, it was fairly easy, and screwing the house frame to the base made asssembly easier as it added stability from the start. I may update my review after installing shelves, we are unsure if we’re going to purchase or construct our own, it will depend on cost and functionality. Overall at the moment I am greatly please with this purchase, we love our little GH.

The instructions were absolutely zero, on a scale of one to 10! Very difficult assembly. I'm overall happy with the greenhouse, with the exception of the plastic bracket with a plastic screw that holds the bottom of the arm of the vent!! This is absolutely worthless; you cannot tighten a plastic screw sufficiently, to hold this bracket it place. Don't know what to do to fix this, will try to find a metal screw that will work, or will have to drill thru, to use a metal bolt & nut! Shameful to use a plastic screw & think it will hold. The door with the magnet at the bottom, is a nice touch, when closed; and especially when opened all the way back, it will not swing back & slam. The drains off of all 4 ends of the rain gutter is another nice touch. I'm going to add tubing into gallon jugs for rainwater. With the exception of the horrible instructions, and that flimsy plastic clip & screw on the vent arm; I'm very pleased, and would recommend it to others. I have the 6x8' model, and it's a very nice looking product, and seems sturdy. I have mine bolted down to my deck, so will see how it holds up in severe winds.

This is a great little greenhouse. It took a full day to put together but that was also with building a base for it as well as installing a floor. Assembly alone if you were just going to plop it down on the grass was probably about six hours, but they do recommend installing it to a concrete pad because it can blow over in high winds. I built a frame out of timbers staked down with rebar and attached it to that, and it seems pretty solid. Palram sells an anchor kit but they are straps that go over the top and attach to auger stakes in the ground and I wanted something that looked more permanent. The build was pretty straightforward. The instructions have no words - they're just pictures - but if you follow closely it's no problem. The door was the hardest part, but I also installed it to open in the other direction from how the instructions indicated so that made it a little confusing. Palram supplies mountable shelves but I just put some freestanding shelves and a console table I already had in there and that works perfect. Glad we went with the larger size, as we initially looked at the 4 x 6, but value-wise the 6 x 8 was a great deal and it feels really spacious. And really how many times in life do you buy a greenhouse - might as well size up. I finished it off with a paver floor and am very pleased with the purchase.

This took about 4 hours to put together by two men...but it was self explanatory with pictures! The product was perfect for growing my milkweed year round for the Monarch's. Vegetables grow well too! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because most of the accessories only fit the larger size...which I didn't have room for!

Assembly of this greenhouse on a prepared surface isn't difficult if you take the time to check your parts and orient them according to the pictures. While some could be improved, most pictures adequately show how to proceed. I was able to assemble this unit, by myself, in about 4 hours. A helper would cut the time nearly in half. This is an excellent hobby greenhuse.

I'm going to try to be as concise as possible. I gave this product a 5 star, but it has been constructed for only 3 days. I also bought it at a major discount, so the value seems a bit better than if I had paid 6 or 7 hundred dollars. It looks very nice after it's put together, and reasonably spacious given its size. The green border adds a nice feel to a garden area, and construction was fairly moderate. I would suggest 2 people, and plan on it taking several hours. DO NOT attempt to stake it to the ground. a wind storm will likely take it. Make sure to have a base in some way. We used partially buried wood beams for stabilization. I was surprised by the flimsy configuration of the plastic slides. You will be too, but by the time you're there, you'll just want to be done with construction, and it gets more sturdy feeling as the structure gets connected. That is my biggest complaint was that I expected the plastic to be thicker and feel more industrial. The accessories are expensive, but the bonus is they're specifically configured for these units, so the install is a snap. Do not count on the magnet holding the door open. I would suggest a stopper of some sort. For what it is, I would recommend it. It looks nice and it's a step up from most simple greenhouses whilst still being in an affordable range. For my purposes, I would buy it again.

This greenhouse is awesome....We love it!! It was very easy to put together. After we got all of our plants and racks in there and started planting some things, we noticed that it gets pretty warm in there. LOL We put a thermometer in there to see how hot it really was. Yep, 105 was a little too warm. That was even with the window open. So I ordered the screening to put in there, along with the drip system. MUCH better!! My plants are thriving. I Love this greenhouse!! Best investment I've ever made. Also, it's the perfect size for just the 2 of us. Yes, I would recommend this to anyone that wants to get there planting started. I would also recommend the screening and the drip.

We set this up in an afternoon. It's definitely a two person job if you want to get it together in a day. We made the mistake of not anchoring on to a base fully, (we ran out of time and daylight) and then had a freak wind storm with 50+mph winds. The entire greenhouse barrel rolled a good 20 feet and got stuck at the end of the tree line. The plastic corner supports on the steel were badly damaged, but with a little elbow grease we were able to get everything tightened back up and operational. This is definitely a durable little greenhouse. The picture is post barrel roll.

Loved this greenhouse. Easy to assemble, nice space inside. It would be 20-30 degrees warmer inside of it on a cold day. But one windy day and the whole thing was destroyed. I even secured it down to a solid foundation, the cheap metal bent and even tore off on some spots. If Palram used a sturdier frame I would recommend this but save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Only had it a month and it does the job so far . It doesn't look like much in the boxes and looks pretty flimsy when putting it together . It is tedious and takes awhile to put it together because the directions are only pictures . It comes with a handy little wrench for tightening hard to get to nuts that we didn't find until we were through . You will need to anchor it down because it is pretty light . Over all it turned out well and my wife is pleased with it .
