While it was a little more expensive than I was wanting to spend I’m very happy with the quality and final result. Needed to contact customer service (mfg) and they were extremely fast responding and resolving a minor issue. Did the assembly myself although another person would have been helpful. I needed to modify the posts to fit my deck dimensions and I think looks as it matches my deck better.

This was exactly what i wanted, i had been quoted much higher rates for covers from contractors. Definitely requires two people, recommend three. Overall installation was straightforward.

This is a good looking quality product, well constructed that was easy to install. Customer service was great as well for a few missing aesthetic items and touch up paint. Has already handled heavy thunderstorms no problem. Very satisfied so far. The real test will be this winter under northeast Ohio snow.

Simple installation. An extra person or two makes installation easy. Great product for the price and ease of installation. Would absolutely recommend.

We wanted a patio cover and had a local company give us a quote (which was extremely high). Started researching and saw the do it yourself kits and found that the Palram Olympia had the best reviews out of the may options I found. We are really glad we went with this, it looks great and feels very sturdy (yet light weight for the size). Assembly is not too hard if you have some DIY ability, if not get a handyman or contractor to install or help with install. The only small issue we found is that the very narrow channel for water drainage into the front channel doesn't work well when there is an extreme rain (so water pours over the front). However, it was raining extremely hard for a long period that night. It has worked well with normal/average rain. I would encourage anyone looking at these to really read reviews and if the difference for something more sturdy (higher snow and wind rating) isn't too much, go with the more durable option.

Our sunroom is located on the south side of the house. For years we used the drapes to control the amount of heat that came through into the sunroom. Closing the drapes, however, took away the ability to enjoy the backyard. We looked at pergolas, canvas awnings, other types of covers. The Palram Patio Cover fit our needs perfectly. We had a contractor install it for us as he was already doing some other work for us. Now, our drapes stay open because the Palram Patio Cover shades perfectly! Thanks!

We purchased an Palram Olympia patio cover for our home earlier this year. We are very happy we chose this product and have enjoyed using it over the last summer. The product is high quality, and nicely finished. It was easy to construct and have found it to be very sturdy. We have had a few strong wind and rain events come through since we put the patio cover up and it performed great. We highly recommend this product to others and have had compliments on it from friends that have come over to visit. It has been a great addition to our home.

We purchased the Palram Olympia Patio Cover in June. It took less than a day for our handyman to build, install, and connect it to the house. It blocks the sun but allows diffused light. And it completely blocks the heat. There is an immediate 10 degree difference when you walk under the cover. It has been through wind, rain and snow and is perfect. We have a south facing patio and the gusts of wind can pick up an umbrella and toss it across the yard. We needed something sturdy and Palram Olympia is it!

I bought the Palram Olympia (10 x 10) about 2 months ago when we remodeled our 400 sq. ft. wood deck. We removed the wood decking and pergola and replaced it with composite decking but needed & wanted something to provide more shelter from the elements than the pergola had been doing over the years. After researching for several weeks online and a couple home shows I started to zero in on the polycarbonate awnings and much to my delight I found that Home Depot carried a number of different options by Palram. I found the Olympia awning had the higher snow load & wind ratings that would withstand the Ohio winters and spring rain storms and not fall apart, collapse or blow away on me in a couple years. It also came in a dark grey that matched out new composite decking perfectly. Once I received the awning it was fairly easy to install and the difficulty of the installation can be up to you, we chose to cut the siding & add a wooden header above a window and below the soffit and also reinforce the joists under the decking just to be safe. It was also pretty easy and straight forward to install but you will need at least 2 people and ideally 3 when you are installing the roof. Nothing is heavy or difficult, it just allows for an easier install to have a few extra hands. One note, I was missing a few of the plastic bolt covers so I contacted the Palram customer support team and they sent them right out to me. Once up you could immediate notice the difference under the awning as it just knocked the sun’s heat down a number of degrees to a much more comfortable level all the while allowing enough light to read the morning paper or a book. It is also perfect shelter during a light rain but with it being only 10 x 12, we can’t ask for too much. We are so happy with the Olympia awning and have been recommending it to anyone and everyone who has seen it. If I could add one thing, it would have been the sidewall to provide some additional protection from the rain. Overall, this awning has exceeded our expectations and I would buy this again without a second thought.

Following extensive online research of many patio cover products, we selected the Olympia 10' x 18' patio cover for an elevated concrete boat pad we had poured next to our house a few years ago. Due to the slope of our property, my wife had expressed safety concerns about the elevation of the pad, and I also wanted a structural cover for my boat, since I have spent years bailing rain puddles off the boat cover. We selected the Olympia model over some other Palram patio covers because of the 3" x 3" posts, which are sturdier than other models. Due to the elevation of our pad, we wanted to incorporate railing between the posts to provide a safety feature. Home Depot sells Aria railing which also utilizes 3" x 3" posts, so the dimensions of the Olympia posts made them perfect for the railing. The combination of the two worked beautifully, and enabled us to add an attractive, safe, and protective addition to our home. The Olympia patio cover is very sturdy. We were impressed with the quality. The shipping packaging is substantial, and though the pallet it was on was virtually falling apart by the time it was delivered, there was no damage to any component of the patio cover. Installation was a two-day process for us. The instructions were clear and the components are adequately labeled. My wife and I were able to assemble and install most of the patio cover ourselves, on a terribly hot day. We required the assistance of a third person on a second day, due entirely to the height of our pad, the slope of the ground away from the pad, and the trickiness of managing a ladder under those conditions. On level ground, I would imagine the installation would be a breeze for two people. The feature of being able to adjust the placement of the posts made it ideal for incorporating railing into the product. We thought our process through completely before doing the install, and ran into no problems at all. The end result speaks for itself. The finished product is very attractive. I have not had to bail any rain out of my boat cover, and we have had torrential rains since we installed the cover. The guttering system works great. We have been extremely pleased with this patio cover, and feel that it adds value to our home and adds curb appeal as well. The warranty is a plus.

Amazing patio cover. It was easy to install. My husband and his brother were able to do this on a Saturday morning. We had purchased a awning for our front door on another house a few years ago and loved the quality of that product so it was easy to choose a Palram product again. We appreciated the guidelines for installation that were provided and their customer support.

My husband and I purchased the Palram Olympia 10 x 14‘ gray/bronze patio cover awning . We are so happy with this purchase!! The quality is excellent and the install instructions were easy to follow. Customer service was very helpful if we did have any questions. We put this on anything in our townhome patio and it has given us a new place to enjoy dining outside since we live in Florida and it rains a lot during the summer months, not to mention the UV protection it also gives.Love it!!!

This awning was easy to assemble. With 2 people it was up and ready to enjoy all in 1 day. Love that it filters out harmful UV rays but still provides nice light. Has a rain gutter along the top. We did have to make our own downspouts using PVC pipe. We have a south facing back deck so it’s nice to be able to use it all day during the summer. Before this cover we couldn’t sit out there in the heat of the day, it was just too hot! We have had it for 4 months and have even had 4-5 inches of snow on it. So far holds up well to wind and snow.

I ordered patio cover in March but unfortunately box came damaged but HD apologized for that and even gave me 10% discount for other order. A received replacement very soon but because for few weekends we had rainy weather I put my cover only last weekend. Me and my ex husband spent just few hours to put cover. It could be faster but he had knee surgery last year and works slowly. Most important read instruction, put all parts step by step so you would know where each goes . We didn't have rain after that so I cant say how it would work during the rainy days but I really enjoy how it came out. Gives so much privacy and shade. Service was very good and I also liked idea 10 years warranty . And my dogs just love to spend time under new cover

Found the idea on pintrest and ordered it! I like the idea of letting some light in as this is on shady side of house. It dies require assembly and we custom mounted this onto a 6x6 frame. Had a few panels that had shipping damage but customer service was great and shipped them right out!! So far this is everything i wanted and neighbors are impressed too

Met expectations. Looks great! Only needed help to put up for about ten minutes when attaching the supports to the roof rafters.

Very easy to assemble. I did it by myself on two weekends.The lag screws are metric & I could not find a drill that would work for them. So, I used Tapcons for attaching to the masonry. So, I had to order special caps & washers from HD.

Even better than we thought it would be! It’s strong and very well made.

Really a well-engineered product. I completed it in a few hours total, spread over a couple of days, doing most of the work myself. Pieces fit together just like they were supposed to and the cover makes an attractive addition to our patio like having another room. Would highly recommend.

I’m a little disappointed it leaks water when it rains I’ve been looking for downspouts for it could not find any !!! If you could help with that great !!!!
