I needed a new shed to store my blower, mowers and outdoor tools. I didn't want to spend an entire weekend assembling it. This shed by Palram fits my needs and is surprisingly sturdy given it's construction method. The crate arrives and you'll take out all the aluminum bars, hardware and plastic panels. It feels really lightweight and the panels feel flimsy to start with. It doesn't seem like this is going to be sturdy at first, but that will soon change. No special tools are needed, just screwdrivers and a drill/driver. Assembly: Assembly starts with the floor made from thin flexible plastic and is in three pieces. It's strong, but thin. You'll start to screw the walls and uprights to this floor and as you do so it will feel very flimsy for the first four or so panels. Everything will be leaning to and fro. As you add more panels and aluminum uprights the walls begin to stiffen up on their own and the shed takes shape. By the time you start assembling the top rim of the walls and the doorway the shed has firmed up very nicely and doesn't feel so wobbly. After the walls comes the roof, which is made of the same poly panels and aluminum runners. The roof can be attached without a ladder, but it does help. The doors go on last and are each framed in aluminum and they do provide a latch that can be locked. I assembled this entire shed by myself in 3.5 hours. Skylight Feature: I really like the skylight style roof. It's black on the outside, but the panels allow the sun through so that the entire shed is bright inside, as if it had no roof. It's a really cool idea and works well. Sturdiness: During assembly the shed feels very wobbly and shaky. I was turned off big time because it felt cheap when I started. My attitude changed once completed. The aluminum frame stiffens up and the shed doesn't wobble or feel flimsy at all once assembled. Each panel is held in place by the runners and nothing comes loose and there are no gaps. We has a storm come through with 50mph winds the week after assembly and even with heavy rain the shed suffered no damage at all. It also showed no leaks from the rain. Storage Space: Storage inside is massive, you have 48 sq ft of floor space and so far I've managed to get three mowers, four lawn chairs, a 10hp snowblower a leaf blower and still have room to walk in. It's quite sufficient for storage. It would easily fit a riding lawn mower as well. Overall I was a bit frustrated in the beginning because this shed felt weak and sloppy, but that quickly faded as it was assembled and it became sturdy and attractive. I have plenty of space to store my stuff and the shed doesn't budge even in 50mph winds. It looks great and I'd recommend it.

This shed definitely requires more than one person to assemble and I’m sure it’s best to assemble it in its final installation place. Unfortunately, I had to assemble the shed on top of three large nylon straps and then move it into place. Moving the shed was surprisingly simple by lifting on the straps at each end and sliding the shed into place. Holding the shed together for the move was easily accomplished by attaching all of the vertical, metal wall studs together at the bottom with aluminum strap (see photo). It was super cheap and easy modification that made the shed much more rigid – something the manufacturer should think about adding as an option???? I made one other modification to help keep the interior free of debris, I glued nylon window screen to the inside of the gable vents. The access is good because the door opening is nearly as wide as the shed itself. Also, the skylight roof is certainly helpful when you’re looking for something in the back of the shed. The floor is also easy to sweep clean. The shed has been in place for 4 months now and has weathered our summer monsoon storms just fine so far. The true test will be how it holds up in the Arizona sun.

This is a 5-month follow up to my earlier review (February 15, 2016). I am adding a picture showing the assembled shed. As I already observed, due to almost all the assembly being performed from the inside, the shed will fit with minimal clearance. The construction is very durable and does withstand high winds. The skylights are very effective in letting in adequate light. All in all I am very pleased with the shed.

I read the reviews about the weakness, instructions, leaking, etc but still elected to buy it. I put it together myself in about 5 hours with no issues or back tracking. Mine is on a cement foundation next to my house with a fence next to it so I don't have many wind issues. It's gone through several wind and rain storms in California, which I know it not as bad as many locations, and I haven't had any leaks and I only caulked the small portion indicated on the roof in the instructions. I have had the front door pop open once in the wind since the vents allow the pressure to push through but the vents also allow the interior to not get any hotter than the out side temp. My last shed was a humidor inside since the venting was non-existent. A wood shed would be sturdier but the benefit of the aluminum and plastic is the lack of maintenance needed. The shed came in two boxes and you could tell something had hit one of the boxes and one of the floor panels had a small hole in it. The manufacturer had the new piece to me in about 10 days. I would agree with one of the earlier reviews that this would not be a good shed for security, other than that I have been very happy with it's aesthetics and performance.

The shed fit perfectly into the space I intended for it and met our needs as a storage shed. My son and I spent about 4 hours putting it together and the assembly was fairly straightforward. An important note that although the material felt thin during assembly, I was pleasantly surprised to say (confirmed the mfg claim) that the shed's material is strong and durable (and so far after 5+ months of Texas rain and heat the shed has held up great). The shed has also been water tight (and we've had some gully washers!). Regarding support: I had an assembly question - sent them an email and had a response and answer within 24 hours. I'd buy another product from these guys again.

I would not recommend this shed. The assembly instructions were not good. Assembly was difficult. Took 5 hours with a very knowledgeable friend building it. Now that the shed is built, I’d give it a 4 on a scale of 1-10.

The very worst thing ever bought! useless

BIGGEST PIECE OF CRAP I HAVE EVER SEEN! do not buy this shed! super flimsy, warped roof, absolutely regret buying this. instructions are terrible, construction of this is terrible, cheap cheap cheap material. should've just spent the extra money and got a better shed. this is WORTHLESS.

Thin metal shed. Not as durable as I 1st thought

Bought this shed after purchasing 2 other brands that warped and ultimately returned. This shed has withstood strong winds and rain with no damage whatsoever. Its easy to assemble and spacious. Would definitely recommend.

It's a bit flimsy but once it's set up it feels sturdier

This storage shed is so flimsy after a considerable amount of labor to build .wanted to return after completion but didn’t want to put anymore time into it.

Very thin plastic, dont believe will hold up to wind/Weather.

Extremely thin, thinner than the tubs we plan on storing in it, hard to believe a $1000 shed could be so cheaply built, I’m sure hail or a rock would go right through it!

Flimsy shed. Save yourself the money and time, putting together 2000 pieces that bend like noodles. It was very frustrating and not worth it for the quality.

the shed meets the requirements that it was purchased for. The assembly was not easy to follow per the instructions. Was not easily leveled so the doors did not match up. We followed the instructions page by page and still had issue with assembly which we did twice to ensurer that we did it correctly. But other that the difficulty of the assembly instructions it will do the job in which it was pruchased.

literally do not even waste your time, i returned that thing right when i opened the box and saw how cheaply made it was ? it was the flimsiest thing ever

This shed did not meet my expectations. The materials are very flimsy.

very poor quality, totally out of adjustment, you have to make it fit the hard way, the doors are crooked, disappointed since I have always had a good opinion of homedepot

The most difficult product to construct in my entire life. I have built gazebos, wooden garden swings, wood patio covers. This, buy far, was the most difficult.

The product was mad of some of the cheapest material I have ever seen, I am stunned Home Depot as a company would carry something of such poor quality.
