Can’t plant in Colorado until mid-May. Even after May rains of 7” in one week and both spring and summer hailstorms, the plants are still going strong. We set up a self-watering system on a timer so each day the water reservoirs are refilled. As you can see from the photo, it works wonderfully. Followed instructions to the letter. I am a believer but was quite skeptical early on. I will recommend City Pickers to all who want a great tomato crop!!

Ok... I wanted to wait, before giving my honest review. I'm growing sugar baby watermelons 🍉; sweet corn 🌽; tomatoes 🍅; lettuce; and bell peppers in them. All are doing phenomenal. My tomato plants are 13 to 14 feet tall! I've grown tomatoes before and they've never grown this tall. Thank you City Picker. ❤️😊

Got this in june and put pepper sprouts in this planter and another type of planter. All but 3 didn’t make it. The black mesh started to deteriorate. The planter itself is a good size and I loved that it was mobile.

Awesome planter for our deck. It is compact, but I was able to plant up to 12 vegetables. The watering system seems to provide the optimal amount of water to provide excellent growth. The plants grow faster because of the cover and there are no weeds to pull. We have had so many more delicious vegetables this year as compared to our garden in the yard. We are so satisfied with our purchase. I bought another for my mother and then my friend saw my bountiful vegetables and bought two for herself. I would highly recommend this

Made a great Mother's Day gift. Planted a collection of colorful plants. The assembly was easy.

I lke the container, but the color sandstone is not at all what expected. It looks more like a 70’s yellow. Other than the color I liked it

Mine is dripping water, anyone else have this happen? Decided not to use casters

I bought three of these a few months ago. I wanted to grow tomatoes, but live in the city, and the only space I have is on my patio. We followed the directions to a tee. Who would have known that a layer of lime is good for tomatoes? The plants have grown quickly and are very healthy. I have tomatoes galore. We ate our first one last night. It was a beautiful red, juicy, and had a great acidity. Highly recommend this product. Be sure to follow the instructions.

Love these planters. I set up my planters by following the enclosed instructions which were clear and very helpful. No guessing on how much to water once your veggies are planted as it's all explained in the instructions. The wheels are a huge benefit as I've had to move my planters around several times as the veggies get bigger and spread out. I'm excited about how fast everything is growing and can't wait to enjoy the salads I will make this summer.

I purchased one of these a few years ago, skeptical but knew of the benefits of an earthbox-type self-wicking container so I gave it a go. I was delighted with the results. Hubby built a raised row so I can have even more city/patio pickers. Planning for more in the future. I did review this on my YouTube channel, Rustic Ventures. :-)

We luv this container for our garden, easy to assemble. It is so easy to water. We purchased one the first time and then we ordered three more for next year.

I like the kit! It is attractive and allows for a great growing experience for my vegetables. I’ve started my vegetable garden this season with it and the plants are off to a good start! PS Keep it away from the edge of your deck or the deer will express their love of your new salad bar! The pic explains it!

I'm growing Jimmy Nardelo peppers, Blot peppers and a Marigold plant in one & Sugar Rush Peach peppers, Buena Mulata peppers and a Marigold plant in another. If you follow the directions included and give your plants the recommended amount of light, you should have incredible plants with high yields. I add water every other day to keep the reservoir continually feeding the roots. I used Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting mix and Miracle Grow Performance Organics Edibles fertilizer in my setup and couldn't be happier. Ladybugs took residence in the plants too and laid eggs. I never gardened before and decided to see if I could. I saw this planter on YouTube and thought it would be the best way to go. I liked the idea of being able to move it around easily based on the needs of the plants and the heat and sun in AZ. I also liked the under water feature so I didn't need to water daily. I liked it so much I bought another one. I have several things successfully growing and am very pleased with them and will use them year after year.

It leaks water out the bottom (not out the overflows). There is a crack in the center of the grow box - see attached image.

I thought the setup was a little bit over kill but I followed the instructions anyway. I like the wicking effect of having the bottom of the tray filled with water. It does keep the soil moist. My radishes love it too.

I purchased this planter box to plant some fall tomatoes. I was a little skeptical about how well it would work, but I needed extra space for my plants so I gave it a try. The planter box was easy to assemble. I followed the directions for setting it up on this page, adding "Espoma Garden Lime" and "Vigoro Tomato and Vegetable Garden Plant Food Plus Calcium" to my potting soil for both my burlap sack planter and the "City Pickers" planter box. The tomato seeds were all planted at the same time and transplanted into their respective planters when they were all the same size. The tomatoes in the City Pickers planter box are now at least 3 times larger than the tomatoes in the burlap sack. I've been filling the reservoir for the planter box with water and watering the burlap sack tomatoes everyday. I've posted a picture so that you can see the difference between the two planters. I definitely recommend this planter box, and plan on purchasing another one for next season.

These are fairly nice containers, I have own much more expensive ones that wicked water much better. I gave it a 2 Star rating because I purchased two of these boxes on July 21st, and one started leaking. I couldn't understand why the planter became dry and light, so quickly. I'll just have to water that container, like a regular planter. For the price they are decent. I do wish the plastic was a little thicker around the top edge, because of the slight slant I have to deal with, the box slightly deforms.

This is the solution when you can no longer get down on your knees. Just put the rolling bed on your deck and then walk along on the ground and they are at eye level. Well built easy to assemble. easy to water. You don't need to water daily. Works for me.

I'm usually not someone who writes reviews. When it came to this product, I felt I had to! The city pickers garden box is absolutely amazing! I couldn't be happier with the results. My plants are huge, and I have tons of tomatoes! I am a novice gardener, that has not had the best luck, when it comes to growing things. My husband still cannot believe that I grew this! The setup was easy. I followed the instructions exactly, with the lime and the fertilizer. (I planted 3 tomato plants on the edges and did my line of fertilizer across the center.) I highly recommend this product to anyone with a patio Garden. I will definitely purchase more of these next season!

Easy to set up. Plants are thriving. With the castor's it's so easy to move around if needed.

We decided to pick up a couple of these and they've exceeded our expectations! Really a brilliant little invention. The tomato plants we planted in one of them have grown to gigantic proportions! And we've got several herbs, eggplant, and bell peppers growing in the other. Everything is super healthy and growing so much we've had to water them 2x a day, each watering taking in several gallons before hitting the overflow. No complaints so far! I think we went a little overboard with how many plants we planted, but despite that, this patio planter is supplying enough nutrients for everything!

It takes about 2 minutes to set up each box, and another 5 minutes to fill with soil, plant, and water. I have several of these acquired over some years. The self watering feature works efficiently, the reservoir being quite big. I have grown tomatoes, peas, lettuce, carrots, beets, chard, peppers, zucchini all successfully.

These have gone up in price over the last 2 years, but still well worth the purchase. The casters are a great addition, for easy mobility. I've used these for several years (they've been holding up very well), and added 2 more to the porch this year.

This planter exceeded our expectations. Very easy to put together and came with excellent instructions for setting up the soil, fertilizer and water system. The wheels allow the planter to be moved efficiently to follow the sun as needed. We liked it so much we went back and bought 3 more. We've planted tomatoes in our City Pickers and they are thriving.

i was skeptical in ordering this planter online for in store pickup. It is amazing! Perfectly sized. Rolls around on the deck easily when full of both soil and water. Great way to start a garden, as i didnt want to commit to digging up a section of the yard this year. Can easily fit 6-8 vegetable plants wiithout over crowding. Highly recommend!
