Dark Red Craft Paint Pen This is a paint marker with a felt chisel tip. The paint is highly-pigmented and provides a thick dark red line. It dries slightly darker than when wet, but closely resembles the color of the label on the paint marker. You need to shake the paint pen (capped) before using, and need to press on the tip to get the paint flowing. The felt tip is sturdy, but soft enough you need to be careful when pressing to prime the paint. If you press too hard, you can begin to bend and fray the finer point edge of the chisel tip like I did. It paints smoothly and works well. I have not tried to, but it states that the tip can be removed and rinsed with water to clean if needed.

The ColorShot Paint Marker is a convenient way to mark organizational tools and supplies. It shows up well, especially in Treasure Chest Dark Gold on black background, but the end product is subject to gravity's pull. It can run because it goes on so wet. The pen is easy to use; shake, pump marker tip on test surface; press tip down to get desired paint flow. If needed, allow to dry for subsequent coats. Store pen in an upright position. Nifty... the tip is removable and can be rinsed under running water to clean if desired.

Pros Easy Instructions, Easy to Apply, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Looks Great Cons very wet on some surfaces and will run

Excellent chisel tip marker for your dark canvas project. This paint pen has an excellent deep red color that shows up very nicely even on dark surfaces. I used this for a fall foliage craft project, and it's the perfect color for that deep red that maple leaves turn in the fall. The chisel tip works wonderfully to get both thick and thin lines. It is a strong tip and I did not find that it bent at all. Shake first, but be careful not to shake with the tip off! I accidentally got some splatter from that. To get started, pump the tip against the paper. You'll see the pigment move in to the yellow tip. I found that once I did this, I did not need to do it again until I went to use the marker the next day. I store these tip-face-up to keep the paint from pooling in the tip.

Pros Dries Quickly, Even Application, Good Coverage, Looks Great, Vibrant Color, shows on black

These paint markers are great.  I let me grandchildren use these markers to paint rocks that I have around the outside of the house.  But they are good for doing all kinds of other projects that you want to be permanent. They don't have a paint smell when I've used them and are easy to use.  Make sure to shake them well and prime the tip on a scrap surface before starting your project.  If needed, the tip can be removed to clean and reuse again and the paint dries quickly.  Replace the cap when done and store upright.

The Colorshot Acrylic Craft Paint Pens are wonderful! I ordered these in several colors to use around the house and in our business. They can be used to touch up things like furniture and household decor items that have scratches etc. They are also great for craft use or to write down names or messages on items to be shared as gifts with special folks in your life! I love that you can start up with a light coat and build on it as needed to get the desired look! The colors are amazing too!

This is a true dark red acrylic paint pen (not metallic). It is great for a bold look on my crafting projects. I like it for Christmas projects that use a slightly darker look, more of a Victorian Christmas Red. It will be great for decorating glass or plastic ornaments. It does not say food-safe, so I would not use it on plates or other eating utensils. The pen has a chisel point, so you can use it for both thin and thick lines. The marker tip is removable, so you can take it off and clean it under running water if it needs it. The paint is permanent and can be used on metal, wood, plastic, glass and more. What's great for my use is that it doesn't have a scent. You shake the pen with the cover on before each use. You pump down on the marker tip until the color flows. Continue to press down during use to keep the paint flowing. I like this feature, as the paint won't drip out accidentally. You may have to do more than one coat to get the coverage you want. If you do, wait until the paint dries before applying a second coat. It dries to touch in about 30 minutes but it takes 24 hours to fully cure.

I received the Colorshot Premium Paint Markers today I ordered these for an upcoming craft project where I will be painting on a glass vase. I ordered the colors Treasue Chest (gold), Silver Lining (silver), Little Black Dress (black) and Speeding Ticket ( kind of a maroon red). The one I tested was speeding ticket. I wanted to see one - the coverage and two - are they permanent. I used glass and ceramic. You can make the color darker and less opaque by going over what your doing a few times. The paints are not permanent on glass or ceramic, I was able to clean it off the both surfaces 5 hours after I applied it. I can not say if they would be permanent on wood, metal or plastic. The applicator tip is on a diagonal that is going to work well for my use but would be challenging if you wanted to have some fine lines on your project. They were easy to use, good directions and I would recommend it them keeping the above in mind.

The COLORSHOT "paint pen" is a neat option for painting all sorts of surfaces and materials. The paint pen looks and works just like a large chisel tip marker, but the liquid paint flows surprisingly well from the tip. The paint pen does work on paper, but I think it works best on non-pourous surfaces like plastic, metal, and glass. On paper, it looks similar to markers, but on non-pourous smooth surfaces, it works really well, providing a thicker more opaque color than most markers I've used. The paint takes a few minutes to dry, after which it seems to hold up well to the touch or rubbing. But on smooth metal or plastic, it can be scratched off, or removed if desired. This type of paint pen is a neat alternative to brushing on paint, providing much more control and neater results, without the mess of paint bottles and brushes.

I have used paint pens for years to mark on glass, put ID’s on tools, etc but they have been hard to find unless I made a special trip to the craft store, and even then the colors have been lacking. Now, with HD carrying them I have quick and easy access to them. The COLORSHOT brand is one I was not familiar with but find them to be of excellent quality. I got this color (dark red) for making marks on both glass and on my tools and items with light colored backgrounds. Easy to use, it puts a heavy pigmented mark on whatever you want it to. Using the paint pen the next day provides just as dark a marking as does initially (provided you shake the pen well and pump-prime it). It is set up in such a way as to deliver just the right amount of paint, so writing with it is a breeze. The tip is removable (that surprised me, by the way), so cleaning it if you need to is a snap. The red REALLY stands out, something I was pleased to discover. The paint dries in about 30 min and cures in 24 hrs, but I found it to be a little faster in the heat wave we are currently experiencing. The marks are resistant to scuffing but I did not find them to be permanent, at least on plastic and glass, in that they can be scraped off, but I do believe marks will be permanent on porous materials, like wood, brick, and fabric. To be fair, the marks are long lasting on glass and plastic, enough for me, and you do have to work at scratching it off (the paint marks do not rub off easily). Overall, I recommend this product; great marking pen for your shop.

Pros Easy Instructions, Easy to Apply, Easy to Use, Even Application, Looks Great Cons can be scratched off plastic and glass, takes about 30 min to dry

The COLORSHOT Speeding Ticket Dark Red Acrylic Craft Paint Pen is such a needed paint & craft marker while shopping! Not only is it a superb color, high end quality of product and application, and long lasting - it is a needed item I dont feel like having to go to an arts and crafts store specifically to get! There are so many touch ups needed around our home - and we love red _ so having this is not only great for writing purposes (yard sale signs and crafts, it is perfect for minute touch ups needed on our walls, home decor, and random nic-nacs that have been dropped a time of two!
