Bought to touch up scratches on a new metal bronze bed. This pen was easy to use and when dried blended quite well.

Poor color match to package color
I was trying to match a burgundy decal and based on the color all over the package & pen is should have been perfect, it looks more like a shade of purple than burgundy. Look at paint in base of pen and compare to package and wrapper on pen they’re not the same!

    Gold colorshot
Gold colorshot was horrible - barely could see it on my project I wanted it for. I was decorating a basketball for someone. The other colorshots I had used came out awesome.

This is my first experience with this type of product. I used it for a craft project with my granddaughter and she loved using it. The paint comes to the tip quite quickly and it worked great on a clay planter. It wasn't messy to use, even though we were prepared just in case. The color was a very pretty blue, not quite navy or royal, a softer, rich blue. It dried quickly.

The Colorshot craft pen is an easy flowing paint pen with an angled marker tip. This pen makes quick work of applying paint around pre-existing lines and filling gaps. It would also be an excellent choice for hand lettering signs and posters. The Colorshot paint is a water based acrylic that can be mixed or sealed with other water based paints and sealers. Take the time to practice and get acquainted with the pen's flow and opacity characteristics before starting your project. On my project, the 'Speeding Ticket Dark Red' went on with one coat and had a pleasing satin quality. The pen's size and angled tip made it ideal for working around details. When finished, simply snap the top back on and place it on a shelf... much simpler than having to clean and condition a saturated brush.

I used the Colorshot marker in the color Scuba to paint blue stripes on the smaller star and to edge the larger wood shim star before painting. I absolutely love these markers! The paint flows nicely, gives good coverage and dries quickly, I was able to do a second coat within minutes after applying the first coat, although a second coat really wasn't necessary. I highly recommended this product!

I used the Colorshot acrylic paint marker, in the color Speeding Ticket, to edge the stripes on canvas flags. 2 coats of paint, using the marker, covered the original peachy/pink color nicely. The marker comes with great instructions and was very easy to use. The paint marker provided good, solid lines for filling in the rest of the stripes with the complimentary Colorshot Speeding Ticket acrylic paint. I enjoyed using this product and highly recommended it.

Happy with this acrylic paint marker. Just shake it up, pump the tip of the marker, and paint away. Paint flows smoothly. Chisel tip allows you to make broad strokes or fine lines. Seems well made. Good way to test out a paint color without buying a whole can. Great for marking items during projects or creative stuff. Like this scuba color a lot too.

I used the color shot paint marker for script on my re-purposing project; I turned a broken clay pot into a garden sign. I used the “Scuba” color; it is a nice aqua blue and it matches the color shot acrylic craft paint perfectly. The chiseled tip makes it easier to write fancy script and it has very good coverage on the terra cotta material. The sheen is nice and satiny. It dries fast and cleans up with water. I don’t know how well it will weather, but it turned out great.

        Missing tip, unusable
Bought this online, waited to ship to the store, picked up, brought home... And there's no application tip on the marker. They advertise it as removable for cleaning, and that part I can verify. Can't speak for the color as I couldn't use the product.

Tried this on a silver metal wire towel shelf rack thing that was scuffed at some point and exposed bare metal. The paint was thin, sheer and runny. I tried it on a clear piece of glass and it dried very fast and was sheer. This would be good for a crafter that wanted a sheer translucent effect. Maybe on glass or ornament to draw holiday messages with silver paint. Good control to write a message or draw a design. Like using a marker. The coverage on metal was not thick enough to fix the scuff. The instructions are not on the pen itself.

I used this pen to restore a bottle opener from the '70's. The finish looks great! I am going to purchase a Red pen now to complete the job. The only prep work I did was a Dremal with brushes. Wiped with a lacquer thinner. Two applications was all it took to get this result. Like I said, I need to go get the Red pen now to complete it. VERY PLEASED!

Colorshot Metallic Treasure Chest Dark Gold Acrylic Craft Pen marks for a good design pen to color highlights and personalize items that you have or make. I used it to put my name on tools , a music stand that my wife and I take to gigs; to add highlights to a coffee table, and a number of other uses. One needs to be careful to shake the pen to loosen up int paint inside the pen. You also need to clean the tip or you will get spotty or overflow effect on your next use. If you take your time you can get really good results - if you hurry - not so much. Overall a good product - I would buy and use again - Mike

I recently updated my bathroom wall décor with a coordinating collage, but a separate purchase needed an antique touch to complete the look. I had an injury to my hand that delayed the project, but I was able to complete this mini-project within 15 minutes without aggravating my injury! Since the application is so clean, there was no mess or wait time to display my new treasure. The wall décor looks much more expensive than its price with only a few strokes of the chisel tip colorshot premium paint marker!

This is an okay craft pen, but it's not phenomenal. I chose the metallic silver and I would not call it silver by any means. If you're expecting a chrome-like finish you're going to be disappointed. The color would be more described as a light grey with a bit of a sheen. The paint comes out kind of heavy and is tough to smooth out on small surfaces. This pen is definitely not intended for small details. The biggest disappointment is the pen tip gets really frayed out quickly. I was not using this in a rough manner or pressing heavy on it and it's already showing a good amount of wear and makes it hard to control the paint with the tip in such bad shape.

This paint marker is great for small detailed painting projects. I used it to paint the edges of cheap plastic picture frames. Less waste than spray painting and easier than traditional latex paint. I used 2-3 coats for a more even, brighter result. I painted 2 16x20 frames and still have paint left in the marker. Would be great for designs on items such as vases, flower pots, lamps, furniture, etc. I was able to wipe paint off my hands with a baby wipe.

These paint markers are nice when used around the house when trying to make minor touch ups to painted moulding and baseboards. Just the right tool for keeping those little Knicks and Dings from being noticed. Also tried this on a metal surface with nearly as good results. I needed to use an average of three applications for the best results.......

Love this craft paint pen. The small convenient size pen is just right for sm quick touch ups. Saves time and mess when you have a small area needing work. No paint cans or searching for a tiny brush. Best feature is the cleanable top. I had other pen type markers with the pump filling action but the tips where not removable. I also liked the wedge shape of the tip the allowed access into corners. I did 2 coats allowing drying in between the applications. I did find it necessary to spackle a couple areas the needed filling as the paint was not enough to fill the cracks. For the most part though, the pen did a great job. Also this particular "marshmallow" color was a super match on my China hutch.

I used this paint pen for a craft project I'm creating. The pen worked perfectly and the paint flowed continuously for some lettering on my wall hanging. The paint stayed within the letter stencils, but the stencils should be removed almost immediately after use because the paint dries quickly. The pen itself is very east to use and comes with instuctions. I will use this again for other craft projects.

Great paint pen. I used this to outline some lettering on one of my craft projects. The pen doesn't have a fine tip, so I just used one corner of the tip. I believe the tip is more of a filler type, but it worked okay for my purpose. The paint flow is great and continuous. There was no skipping of ink as I used the pen. I will use this again for other craft projects.

This was my first experience ever using a paint pen. I wanted to label my daughter's bookbag and didn't want to get embroidered because we seem buy a new one every school year. It worked great and was simply to use. I like how you can pull the tip out and wash it clean to ensure a longer life of the pen. I plan on also marking some of my tool and using it to label my vegetables in my garden bed in the spring.

I use this awesome product to write my horses name on his tack. It goes on rope, felt or leather easily and looks really nice and shiny. It is lightweight and fits in your purse or back pocket like a pen. The cap fits snug so it won’t dry out, it can be used over and over. There isn’t a strong odor either. Overall great product when you want more than just a plain black pen.

Beautiful metallic gold color that is exactly what I wanted! Looks really nice on paper for calligraphy art and dries with a shimmer. Works on glass as well, but will need a second coat after it dries. The directions are easy - make sure you shake it well and press onto scrap a couple of times until you see the gold soak the tip. Then a firm press will give a strong opaque color. The tip is angled so can be thinner or thicker depending on your needs. I like that the tip is removable and washable for the next use. Can't wait to use on my craft projects!

I took this trial effort seriously. I followed the directions, shook the product well and pumped the tip to start the ink flow. You have to pump it like a Tide laundry pen. Once saturated, the paint was spread on a 2" x 3" area of glossy card stock and on a plain piece of clear glass and a textured side of clear glass (glass used in stained glass application). It was allowed to dry for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the paint on the card stock would not scrape off. The paint on the glass both sides scraped off easily with a fingernail. 2 days later, the paint on the glass was harder but still scraped off with a fingernail with effort. I would recommend it for behind-the-glass-painting or small areas of glass that would be visible but not subject to any touching, washing or scrubbing. Not recommended for glass that needs to be washed-like a decorated plate or wine glass. Perhaps on ornaments or decorative objects. I then used the pen to repaint some 1" aluminum metal straps that are on the outside of large exterior beams that are exposed to the elements 24-7 on the south face of my home in southern Arizona. The straps were painted 20 years ago with spray paint and needed a re-do which requires taping, ladders and calm wind days-not a nice chore. I tried the product on a breezy Feb. Arizona morning-cool but not cold and sunny. I covered the exposed aluminum and steel bolts. There was considerable streaking and uneven paint flow requiring pumping of the tip often to keep paint flowing. It was more of a challenge on the underside of the straps where gravity did not help the paint flow. It was easier and faster than using spray paint or a brush. You don't have over spray and would be good even if windy. The pen did the job but not great, up close it is uneven and streaky. Probably needs a second coat to even out the streaks. It felt like the pen did not have enough paint to complete all the straps, paint application process was dry towards the end of painting four 1" x 24" straps. When you drop the pen from a ladder, the tip falls out and ink spills out of the holder onto the surfaces. You can easily re-insert the tip. Good luck getting it off concrete. The instructions say to store upright which is unlikely for most who don't have an art supply caddy or stand to store art supplies. If they want you to store it upright, they need to build a wider base so it will stand up alone and not fall over.

My wife finds these are great for use in her craft projects. She says they have little to no odor. She likes that the chisel tip allows for both a fine line or a broad stroke. She finds that the directions are easy to follow, the paint flows easily, dries surprisingly quickly, and does not smear. The result is a nice, even appearance (in this case, gold metallic).

All I can say is wow! This pen covers cleanly in a nice satin finish. Dries quickly too. As easy to use as a marker. I really don't notice any odor from this paint at all. Instructions are super clear and easy to follow. I think this would be awesome for painting rocks or doing letteting on signs or posters because it's so easy to use. Tip pulls out easily to clean after use. Put tip back and your ready to use it next time.

The new Colorshot premium paint marker is definitely going to be added to my paint pen collection! It is fast to mix.Just shake a few minutes and then gently depress the felt tip. It flows easily and is not coming out separated like some other paint pens I have used. It also can be applied to many different surfaces. I tried it on cardboard, raw wood and plastic. I got the Marshmallow color, which is a white color.

Great quality, flows freely and works great. Tip is fat and wish it had a finer point, but depending on your project this could work great for you. Instructions for use are on the pen, but just to keep in mind they recommend a thirty minute set time which is fair. In the photo we used the pen on chalk labels to permanently affix descriptors to some of the spices. (Obviously you can use chalk pens for write on/ off if you didn’t want permanent). Looks sharp, would recommend for labeling and decorating.

Read the directions or you're bound to have trouble. This paint pen works very well. I used it to write on painted (acrylic) hearts on a wreath for Valentine's Day. After charging it as instructed, I had no problem using the pen and the letters stayed nice and dark even after sun exposure. I also followed the instructions and pulled the tip from the pen to rinse it after using - and then stored the pen tip up. That prevents it from clogging the tip and rendering it useless. Take care of your stuff!
