16’ x 22’ Shade Sail, looks and works great. I hung it over my boat dock helping to prevent sun damage and to keep pine nettles from blowing into the boat.

Nice quality sun shade with moderate weave to the fabric that makes it a nice airy sun shade but it won't shed water. This would be great over an uncovered rear porch, a patio seating area, or probably even used for camping in a pitch. Comes packed surprisingly compact. The edges are sewn over some sort of internal rope that goes between the corners so you can apply tension. The corner hardware is really interesting with a form of ring hardware but also a cable loop. This gives you multiple options for mounting and lets you apply a lot of tension, which is great. Definitely a big step above a DIY shade you make yourself. Only annoyance is that the shade comes packed very tight with plastic straps holding it and it's tough to cut those without damaging the shade. Perhaps that's just how I got mine.

High quality stitching with no frayed ends or problem areas. This particular model has a nice "weight" to it which lets through a bit of light and still lets you feel a bit of the sun vs. being completely dark. The d-rings are sown in really well. Made in China, no complaints. I added a photo of the 16 x 16 installed to give a better idea of the color.

I selected this Colourtree Beige Triangle Sun Shade Sail to place over my above ground pool. The fabric is pretty thick. Each corner has a metal "ring" that is very sturdy and heavy. Additionally, a thick metal wire runs the full length of the sail. I plan to take it down when I know bad weather is coming but this sail seems tough enough to take a beating. Selecting the sail was the easy part, the main issue I'm having is placement. This is an excellent product but anyone looking to purchase, I advised thorough planning as to how you plan to install and support the sail.

We have two other sail cloths by Colourtree and we're very happy with the quality. This sail cloth is even better quality than the other two. Here are some features that make this a superior sail cloth. 1. The anchors are metal and very strong 2. There's a cable that runs along the length of each side. 3. The material is much stronger and thicker than the other two. 4. Even though the material is thicker, light is still able to come through. 5. The color is more pleasant and has a warmer tone. Installation tips: 1. Lay the cloth down on the ground, so you can plan out the layout. Keep in mind where you can anchor the cloth. 2. Turnbuckles are recommended, however we were able to install using rope with eye bolts. 3. Use a movers knot to pull the cloth tight. This eliminates the need for turnbuckles. 4. Make sure the corners are tight. When laying out the anchor points, leave about a foot of so extra distance, so the cloth will be tight. We're very pleased with the quality and look of our new sail cloth.

I received this Sail Cloth to use in my yard to provide much-needed shade. The good quality of this product will give me years of shade! As you can see the anchors are very strong and of good quality. The color is excellent, it looks like the picture online. It does need to have separate hardware to install it 28 x 28 x 28 and hooked to my house were wind and rain do occur. Works great. Word of advise don't install horizontally put an angle on the install to help shed water to one side. Water will drip through but will pool first. Will update after first hurricane.

Really nice shade. It came shrink wrap, not boxed as I expected. Still received in great condition. It offers a nice thick fabric. The 260 GSM (grams per square meter) rating is excellent. This means the higher the GSM weight, the higher the shade rating, or the tighter the knit, the heavier and stronger the fabric. 80 GSM is poor. 185 is good. 260 is excellent. Stainless steel cables run down each side and thru the ring corners for added support. Home Depot offers a how to install video on their site. It comes with zero hardware for install, so you'll have to buy that separately. Triangular shape may not be for everyone.

This COLOURTREE 20 FT. X 20 FT. 260 GSM REINFORCED (SUPER RING) BEIGE TRIANGLE SUN SHADE SAIL SCREEN CANOPY, PATIO AND PERGOLA COVER will be an excellent accent to our back patio relaxation area. It is a product that is waterproof, wind resistive, made of good quality, and has features unexpected for the price. The corners have steel wire connections making it sturdy support connections.

First thing to note about this sail is the strength of the corners. The corners are steel bolted rings with steel cable running the entire perimeter of the sail for strength. Strength and durability of this sail is surpassed by none I have seen before. Being a 12x12ft sail, the coverage for shade is not so perfect, but the overall unit is very strong. I was able to pull the cable through the edges to distribute the corner pressure evenly on the mounted locations. Even the edge stitching seems stronger then most sails I have inspected. Once you have fully prepared the installation location and tensioned up the attachments, the cable can be pulled slightly to straighten the sail installation. I think this is the strongest corner anchoring system I have seen so far on a shade sail.

We have just had our concrete patio poured after waiting for months, and are now setting it up. Since we live in a condo and cannot attach anything to the building, I had to devise a system of posts because I wanted shade sails. Based on everything I have researched, I have settled on ColourTree as our shade sail brand because of their quality. They are all made of HDPE providing what I hope to be a long life. We have checked out various GSM's (grains per meter meaning how dense the material is), from 190 to 260, and feel that anything 190 or higher will provide the coverage that we are looking for. We have some very high winds here so we want to make sure the sails will withstand the weather. ColourTree makes various size triangles and rectangles. Initially, we were going for two triangles. But one of the things we found is that the pictures do not really depict the triangle sails. On the ones we got, it seems that the taper for the corners begins further out than they should. I did not really see that in the pictures before I ordered them. I can and will still use the sails but I will need to install multiple sails to get the desired shade. I settled on ColourTree because of the quality of the product, stitching of seams and stainless steel Super Ring ends. I am very impressed with the Super Ring system and know that will hold up even with the toughest winds we might have. While I still stand by my decision to use ColourTree and will continue to do so, I just caution you to determine your sail design and size before ordering. ColourTree offers a lot of options.

THE COLOURTREE 12 FT. X 12 FT. 260 GSM REINFORCED (SUPER RING) BEIGE TRIANGLE SUN SHADE SAIL SCREEN CANOPY, PATIO AND PERGOLA COVER is a very nice shade sail and has very strong attachment rings, see my photo's below. Be sure that your local Home Depot can handle the returns if you get some because the one I got has a steel rope in the attachment points but the steel rope was coming out of the attaching point. Even though that steel rope came out the attachment is still anchored by four screws and will hold better than most even though it's not 100%. I really don't think the steel rope adds any strength to the attachment but the four screws will make it stronger than a normal attachment.

This is my second Colourtree Sunshade Sail that I’ve installed this year. First one went on my deck, this one I set up in our vineyard, for some shade, when taking a break. I’ll add chairs and maybe a table and hammock. These sunshades sails are well made with heavy duty hardware and stitching. A steel cable runs throughout the perimeter in order to tighten as needed. The only reason they don’t get a 5 star rating is because there are no instructions included! No hardware either. I purchased the hardware from Home Depot in order to install this shade. I referred to a YouTube video for install instructions. I think that any product such as this should include instructions. After all, Home Depot prides themselves for being DIY store. And how about care instructions?? They need to include instructions!! See pics below.

Excellent shade, easy to deploy and made with rugged reinforced anchor points! I used this for a temporary shade between our dock and a small grassy sitting area. The 28 foot size is the edge-length for this equilateral triangle- exactly the size I needed. A strong stainless-steel cable runs the whole perimeter, reinforcing the edges. The corners are reinforced with strong metal clamps, and the steel cable runs on the outside of those clamps: The result is that you can clip the sun shade to either the clamp, or the cable running around it. This gave me a little more flexibility hanging the shade. We anchored it to a tree on one side, the dock on the far side, and our walkway railing in-between. Breeze and even winds up to 15 mph have not been a problem so far, but we take it in when higher winds are expected.

Purchased COLOURTREE 28 FT. X 28 FT, BROWN TRIANGLE SUN SHADE SAIL. This is a good, quality product that is very durable. The brown has a pretty sheen to it. We purchased this to add some relief from the sun during those hot summer days so we can stay out longer. It protects our deck from falling leaves too so we get out the leaf blower less often. I expect this sail to last several summers. It seems that it will be easy to fold up and store.

This sub shade is definitely build to last. It’s very heavy duty. The edges are double stitched and have very large overlap sewed together so it will never unravel at the edges. The material is a plastic type canvas but it looks like real heavy quality canvas. The corners where the hanger connectors are are very heavy duty with a metal cable reinforced metal coupling. Don’t hesitate to buy this great quality triangle shaped sun screen. Note there is no mounting hardware included

I really like our new colourtree brown triangle sun sail. Installation is easy. Ok well it looks easy anyhow. My husband was out there drilling hardware and whatnot but he wasn't out there long. So basically he used these clip things and at night we can just unclip the sail if we are worrying about it tearing or anything but I doubt it, it all seems really sturdy. These are constructed really well. At first I thought it was just a tarp but its actually woven so it is sturdy. We only used these for a few days but they are worth their weight in gold! I hate the sun so this is perfect for keeping us out of those hot rays. I love our sun sail & recommend these to anyone looking for easy shade!

The triangle shape works best if you only want to use 3 points for securing vs having 4. This fabric is roughy and not waterproof but very heavy duty. The corners has a nicely secured ring so it can easily attach to the hooks at the end where it holds the shade. The size is big enough for my deck and it looks easy to install. It doesn’t come with all the hardware you need so you’ll need to buy separately.

Super amazing quality and function in this large and beautiful shade sail. I have never had a sail that is made with a reinforced metal and metal end tips. Most if not all of my shade sails have eventually ripped off the ends during major wind storms...this reinforced metal end pieces and cables will stop these sails from their end of life for many years.

The pictures really don't do the super ring justice. The rings are big, heavy, strong. Seriously, you could hold off a gang of young thugs with these things. If you are in a windy area, this is the sun shade sail to get. I would think whatever you attach this to would fail before the super rings would fail. The material of the shade is high quality also, I imagine it should last for many years of service. The material seems strong and it is a good looking color and sheen.

Perfect for the outdoors to allow comfortable shade from the summer sun or inclement weather if being used year round. With the heavy duty stainless steel mounting rings, this canopy is well made, sturdy and should last a long time. Not only is this sail screen canopy terrific for personal use but would also be a great gift to my friends and family. Very glad I chose this item and would highly recommend to anyone.

This is a very well made privacy sun shade. It is 28 foot by 28 foot in dimensions. It comes with one privacy sun shade. It comes with all materials needed to assemble it. It is very easy to install. The material it is made out of is very thick and should last for a long time. It provides a large area for shade and coolness outside. It goes up very easy with cables or ropes.

They should include one extra measurement on these triangle-shaped sails...the distance between one corner to the opposing flat side, to make it easier to know what size to choose for your space. For example, a 12 ft sail will only fit an approximately 10 ft space, as far as your anchor placement is concerned, from a flat edge to the opposing corner (they told me there wouldn't be any math!). And the installation video for these products would be greatly improved if they actually featured a triangle-shaped one (just sayin’, ColourTree). Now that that's out of the way, this sun shade sail is the heavy duty version of one of these porous sails; heavier weight fabric, heavier weight stitching, steel support cable around the outside edge, and much heavier weight mounting corners. Get yourself a 3-corner mounting set from ColourTree to make this an easier installation. 5 year warranty, an overall very nice product. Note: Don't be fooled by the steel cord hanging out from the mounting brackets; it is not to be used to hang the sail, use the mounting brackets. The cord will disappear once the sail is pulled taut. As you can see from a lot of the other reviews, people are unsure how to mount these things. Better instructions, or ANY instructions, would really help with this product.

This ColourTree Super Ring triangle sun shade sail I'm trying to attach to a pergola and then over to a fence post to cover the barbeque grill so if it rains, there will be some protection. I picked up a few stainless steel turnbuckles, screw in hooks, carabiners, and pad eyes for the install. The HDPE (high-density polyethylene) fabric is supposed to be resistant to tearing, fading, stains, drying out, mold and mildew.

I really like the color of this shade sail , especially being two tones of brown and it is big and is going to work out great in my back yard , but still trying to decide exactly where and how I am going to hang it , so it is able to be hung correctly . I have others and sometimes takes a little trial and error to make it hang properly . It is made very well and it has a cable that runs the entire perimeter and has heavy duty ring mounts so you can stretch it out easily without compromising the material .

The Colourtree 12x12' Triangle Sun Shade Sail Screen Canopy was a disaster for me. It arrived without any installation instructions so I explored the company's website to find installation videos, but the ones I found didn't exactly describe my product or how to connect it to trees. So, I watched several other YouTube sites to figure out how I could install this sail. I purchased nylon rope to hang it, and I acquired from Colourtree other installation hardware (which also didn't contain instructions to hang the sail). I spent the better part of a day trying to get the sail stretched between two trees and the side of my garage in an attempt to shade a 12 x 12" platform in my backyard. No matter what I did the sail buckled in the middle and would not stretch. Eventually, I removed the sail and put it and the installation hardware in a box in my garage with plans to attempt installation again when I'm not so frustrated. After watching more videos that night I realized that I was attempting to connect the sail to wiring leading from corner grommets rather than grommets themselves. A set of clear instructions would have saved a tremendous amount of time and made the job much easier. So my recommendation is to research fully before deciding to take on a project to install a shade sail and make sure you buy the right products to meet your installation needs.

WOW...not your typical shade sail! This Colourtree triangle sail is heavy duty. The sail itself seems more dense than other I have seen. The multi stitching around the perimeter secures a cable to reinforce it's strength and the cable extends out and around the metal supports on each corner that is secured to both sides of the sail with multiple screws. The strength and reinforcement will allow the sail to be properly installed and remain taught even in windy conditions.

The fabric looks sturdy. 20 x 20 is big! Make sure you measure your space carefully. We ordered this sun sail for a specific reason. We live in an area close to a protected water way and local laws dictate that we can only have a certain amount of space on our property that is non-permeable. This sail would protect you from a light rain, but a heavier rain storm would come through the fabric, which is what we need to meet the requirements of a non-permeable cover. This sail will provide shade without waiting for trees to grow. Don't forget to order the hardware by Colourtree for a 3 corner application. The hardware is shown in the photos.
