I recently took this rack on a 600 mile road trip. I lost bike #4--a tween bike within 30 miles of home. The smaller mountain bike's frame did not fit well and it flew right off. Another driver flagged us down because we didn't realize what happened. I don't blame the product. The other 3 adult bikes were secure. There is a bit of bounce and wobble so drive a smoothly as possible. Pros: Overall very sturdy4 bikes can fit but you need the pedals and handlebars aligned just right Fold down feature allows the car hatch to open Rubber straps are secure but maybe not quite enough for 4 bikes Cons: Many mountain bikes do not have the conventional triangle frame which makes this rack more difficult to use Even modestly angled driveways will cause the rack to scrape bottom (go slow over dips)
