When I turned 60 years old, I began to experience foot pain due to Planter Fasciitis (the tendon on my heal), and a weakened foot arch. When I saw this work shoe with the cut out in the sole directly below the heel, and the support arch, I thought maybe this will help reduce the pain. Wow! It was like walking on clouds. Within weeks my foot pain had mostly gone away. I've now had them 5 years and beat them to death. Yes, the steel toe guard is cold in winter and a composite guard would probably be less cold. Yes, the outer fabric started to tear apart at the creases due to flexing and the shoe is less waterproof. But though they may be ugly, they are still my most comfortable work shoe. So I'm off to buy another pair.

These were the perfect decision that I have ever made within the shoes they are very comfortable I work in upholstery and I wear them more than eight hours every day and I am very happy with them I highly recommend them

I bought these because I work outdoors in the Sierra Mountains and thought they would be a nice lightweight option. I work for Environmental Management and I walk the trails around Lake Tahoe while working. The shoes lasted only 5 months before the sides began to come apart. Now the side whers the shoes bend are completely blown. Not at all what I expected from a trusted Carhartt Company.

returned junk back, steel toe dug into top of toe area when you walk. paper thin under steel toe.

I bought these last year, and they were great and comfortable. They did start to show signs of wear about 7 months after purchase (parts of the cloth had started to fray a little), but were still wearable. If anyone from Carhartt is reading this, the only thing I wish that this had was a composite toe. I now have to go through a metal detector every day, and having a composite toe is a must for me. I will probably (sadly) need to look at another option this spring to replace these shoes.

Lightweight and comfortable

Bought two pair, rotate them.Comfortable enough to where all day the first day.Medium weight shoe, not heavy like a boot, not light as sneaker.9M - Steel Toe. Very narrow for a steel toe. Sole is only as wide as the shoe.Great for working in tight spaces.Nice no slip sole.

These are comfortable and have great grip. I work in grocery stores and didn't figure they would wear out so fast. The mesh was in tatters in less than a year, but wasn't subject to extensive abrasion. It was coming apart at the flex crease above the toe by 9 months. Great boots, I just wish they lasted longer.

Love them

I wish I could give these shoes 5 stars. They are comfortable and fit me well. I ordered them because I have a farm in Florida and wanted something other than a traditional boot because it's so hot. I ordered these on 4/15/19 and started wearing them when I got them on 4/18/19. Unfortunately it is now 4/24/19 and the rubber from the sole that curves to the top of the toe is peeling off on both shoes. Very disappointed because I really like these shoes.

Have had these about 2 months now were great in the beginning now had some time on them. It would appear something has gone wrong as now after wearing for a couple of hours they start to hurting my right outer part of my foot. Have tried to lace different and tie at different pressures and doesn't help

Honestly I'm really particular about the weight of my work shoes and the way the flex but these are perfect. I've had a couple of "lightweight" steel toe sneakers/boots before but these are by far the best looking(dad shoe vibes), best fitting, and lighter without compromising the integrity of the overall structure of the shoes. There's another review on this page saying that they are too snug on the toe with thick socks. DO NOT LET THIS MAN SWAY YOU. I wear my casual sneakers in a size where I can comfortably wiggle my toes but still feel secure and planted with no sensation of my feet and toes sliding around in the toe box. I ordered the same size I wear in another brand, wore them with the standard pair of fat tube socks, and I still have plenty of room in the toe box to wiggle my toes around while feeling securely planted. I have them laced pretty snug too! So order this pair true to size and you wont regret it.

Good shoe, did not notice when I ordered that it had a steel toe. So a little close in the toe area for thick socks and the arch was a little to far back to my heel. In all and a few days breaking them in I am just ok with them. Would not buy again.

This was a work boot for my grandson. He was very pleased with the boot and excited to have a great durable shoie

Bought these at my local work boot store, absolutely love it. Probably the best and most comfortable sneaker style shoes I've tried.
