This product is great! If you follow the installation recommendations, it installs easily. Having a seond pair of hands makes it even easier. Once the grid is up, the tiles go in very quickly. I love the way this saves ceiling height and will allow easy access for any unforseen plumbing, electrical, or other issues in the future. It is much better than drywall for my finished basement areas.

Hard To Remove
If you ever have to remove a tile it is next to impossible to get the cross pieces back in place.

If you are looking to remove a tile in your installation, we recommend unsnapping the runner component and rocking the cross tee to remove the panel. There is no need to remove the tee unless you need access to a larger area. The cross tees can simply be locked back into the top hanger components or rest on the wall brackets depending on the area of tile removal. cross braces need a more secure way to attach. The rails need a stronger way to snap in. Any downward pressure on them they come apart. If you have insulation above the ceiling. I will never use this system again. Would rather pay more for a sturdier system.

Our system is a surface mount system, so typically there is not room for insulation above the grid. Any insulation should be held in place by the floor joists and not grid components as too much weight and pressure from above could cause issues with the system. The cross tees rest on the wall bracket or are securely snapped into the top hanger components of the system. Once the runners are snapped into place the system is rated for medium duty. Absolutely garbage
As a professional installer, this product is the worst act ceiling system I have ever installed. Not sure who designed, but pretty sure they never installed themselves. I watch every video about installation and let me say, it doesn’t workout at all like the videos. Maybe because I’m using a sound deadening tile, not sure if that means anything, but it just is pure hell to install. If I could go with a lower review, I definitely would rate it in the negatives

Good system but instructions are not good.
System is good but instructions in the package conflict with the video. The tips don't cover all variables so its best to study both instructions. Its most important to install grid system square and parallel and insert tiles in each row before moving to the next and continuously checking measurements to avoid installing and reinstalling. I wouldn't consider this installation easy particularly if you follow either of the instructions. After complete the ceiling will look fine. It's also good in basements where ceiling height is less than 8 ft.

This grid kit came with black ceiling runners instead of white. The white ones I purchased individually elsewhere are quite a bit more rigid. My cross T's were almost centered between trusses and when a tile was placed, often the cross T would fall out because the black runners would twist.

Our top hanger components of our system are made of recycled PVC and are dark brown/black in color. This component is attached to the floor joist and allows for the white runner to be snapped into it. Once the tiles and the runner components are installed, it is not visible in the completed installation. We do state in our installation guide that your cross tee must be used as a spacer between your top hangers to allow for the correct distance, if you do not use the cross tee as a spacer and attempt to install the components 24" on center you will find that there is too much space to accommodate both the tiles and cross tee. Our grid system works slightly different than a typical suspended grid system is installed. We recommend in our installation instructions that our cross tee much be used as a spacer between top hangers during installation, this will give the proper distance between panels and allow the tees to fit snuggly. Best aspect: minimal loss of ceiling height in the basement...
Best aspect: minimal loss of ceiling height in the basement room we finished. A drop ceiling would have cost us a few inches, making the space much less welcoming. Relatively easy to install but I suggest two people instead of one as noted in the instructions. I needed three boxes of materials, but one or more of the boxes was missing 30% of one part. Home Depot treated me right and supplied the missing parts and I finished the job. Watch the video about installation. Watch it three times. There are a few aspects of installation that I believe could be improved, but if you follow the instructions you will have a nice ceiling. It won't be a "high-end" dropped ceiling, but it will greatly improve the space. Again, if ceiling height is a concern, this is the way to go.

Cheap junk
Wish these companies that design this stuff would take a little more pride in what they selling instead worrying about making money. Hard to do your job right when the product your using is junk. Will never use again cross tees are a joke I'm sure they will all be falling down in a month. Not a labor saving processes spend more time try to make work right than worth.

Worked quite well
Worked quite well. Easy to install. Will recommend to friends. The connections for cross members seemed a little flimsy. Takes very little head room from the ceiling. Helps to have a helper.

It looks good, but it was very difficult to install....
It looks good, but it was very difficult to install. Following the directions as best I could for such a small space, the cross bars appear to be about 1/4" short. There are tiny gaps in spots. I am not concerned since it's for casual space, but I would not purchase this product for a high-traffic room.
I have my doubts about getting access above the tiles now that it is completed.

I was very optimistic but the plastic is flimsy. Especially the bordering pieces. If you screw them into the wall/horizontal the bottom part pulls up and warps. I recommend predrilling holes and leave screws a bit loose. It still will warp a little. Follow the instructions to the "T". You have to square the grid to the tile
and T bar because there is almost no tolerance for space. The notch on the T bar leaves less than 1/16" of play. I would not use this again for my project. Would only recommend for covering a finished ceiling.
