excellent for light control.
This Chicology Woven Sliding Panel is just what I needed to limit the bright light coming into my room. The panels are woven but not tightly which allows some light to come into room. The cut to size panels re easy to trim to the right length and come with bottom rails which keep them straight and steady. They did not take me log to install as they come with excellent instructions with diagrams. The top rail is attached by installing "L" brackets to the wall and with attached twist on mounting brackets to the head rail which makes them easy to install and remove without tools. The panels have Velcro at the top which attach them to the slides on the top of the header. Very well made!

Fresh New Look
This Chicology panel track blinds are a nice new look for my sliding door. The standard covering for the large doors have been the narrow verticals. So tired of them. The panel track blind gives a very fresh look to the room. The panels are called woven white, which are not a bright white as I was expecting, as the picture looks bright white. The woven fabric gives it a natural feel and look. Nonetheless, it is a very good choice. These are light filtering, which cut out the direct afternoon sun without the room looking dark. The wand on each side makes it easy to move the blind panels to wherever they are needed for privacy or sun shielding. The installation was not hard once we got the hang of it. The instruction sheet showed the detail of each piece to have them put together the correct way. There was prep beforehand to remove the old verticals with the hardware and fill and paint old holes. After mounting the track to the hangers, we held it up over the window, found level, marked hole places, then proceeded to screw the unit to the wall. Unfortunately, no studs were available, so we used the included anchors. The panels were a little more than a foot too long, only because my drapes would have been too short if I move the rod higher to accommodate the panels. So I trimmed them down. The bottom rails would be easy to install if the allen screws were not so tiny. I even magnetized the allen wrench. I would like to have some sort of covering over the track. I will try to figure it out. These come in eighteen other colors.

Well built with average quality panel
Chicology Brunch Cut-to-Size Grey Light Filtering Adjustable Sliding Panel Track Blind with 23 in Slats Up to 86 in. W X 96 in. L, Brunch Grey is decent quality blind panel for the home. It looks great, adds a good look to your windows. But the edges are threading out and the make of the track looks like average quality plastic. Not sure how long it would last.

Very dark!
The Chicology Movie Night Cut-to-Size Ivory Blackout Adjustable Sliding Panel Track Blind with 23 in Slats Up to 86 in. W x 96 in. L, Movie Night Ivory are perfect for blocking out the light if you need it for daytime sleeping or keeping the window glare off the TV. They seem like they are made very well, I didn’t have any fraying of the panels. The panels are the weight and texture of the old fashioned roll up blinds. They are easy to cut to length using a pen, straight edge, tape measure and scissors. The panels are weighted at the bottom by a bar that slides over the whole width of each one. It recommends two person installation, however I was able to do it myself because it was being installed where I had previously had a long curtain rod and 3 of the 5 holes were perfect. They are easy to open and close, you can slide them from either side. The instructions are very easy to understand, making installation go smoothly. They are a bit more industrial looking at the top than I’m used to, I wish the manufacturer could design a valance cover to hide the track like vertical blinds have.

Practical solution..
The Chicology blackout blind is well designed . It is fairly easy to install and is perfect for darkening any room when light interferes while sleeping, watching tv or video. I like the telescoping track which makes installation a wiz! No measuring and cutting the track.. The hardware makes it easy to put up and remove, just a twist of the locks and its' installed. Once I had it up , putting the panels is easy because they have velcro strips at the top and on the rail, next I cut the panels to length using a straight edge and a blade. Finally I installed the bottom metal rails and I was done. The metal parts are perfectly finished in gloss white and the panels are perfectly cut.

easy to use curtain substitute/addition
This is overall a decent quality, easily installed curtain substitute(can also be used in addition to light curtains for blackout effect). This basically is comprised of 23 inch wide cloth “panels” that are pretty long(up to 76” or so), that ride on a track, and collapse into themselves in a telescoping fashion when you need to open access to the door/window. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this install went. The track and panel slides are carefully designed. 4 sliding brackets on the track hold up the cloth panels via a Velcro strip, and if you put these on correctly they won’t fall off ever. The entire track is expandable and can accommodate small doors to wide sliding glass doors. Once you expand your track for the desired length, it attaches to the wall which included anchor screws and to the track with L brackets in an ingenious mechanism to tie onto the track. Super simple install. Great instructions. Just about the only complaint I have is that each cloth panel is easily creased and wrinkled. I wish they held up better to slight creases and wrinkles. Otherwise this is a great substitute for curtains or even in addition to them as these provide a full blackout function so it’s great for movie night or movie days.

Very nice and Clean looking
Have a new home and for the last 5 months could not find anything we wanted to put over the sliding glass door. Had a tarp hanging out side to block the sun. Then we found this and the wife loves it. We have a 8' door so needed something long and this worked perfect. They were well packed when shipped and assembled except for mounting brackets. I checked the instructions and then attached the mounting brackets with a little modification. I mounted the brackets up side down so it would lower the track assembly about 2" when mounted on the wall giving me complete coverage of the door. I also put a shim behind the mount to push it out from the wall about 1/4" so the guide rails will not hit the trim around the door. I will make a nice trim to go around the brackets and track at a later time. But as far as the Sliding Panel Track Blinds this set is great. It matches our walls covers the door and was very easy to install. The vinyl Panels will be very easy to clean and are easy to remove and reinstall. Love the way they block the sun light. They slide open and close so easy were so easy to install and only took about a half hour including making the shims for my mod.

Nice and Clean looking
I got this for in front of a sliding glass door. Removed the Dark curtains that was there and installed this Sliding panel. So you know the door is a 8 foot high door. Any way got this and when I opened it I found it was well packed and mostly assembled. I looked at the Instructions and then started to assemble the mounting brackets and attached to the adjustable Track. I did make a mistake mounting the wall mounts and mounting brackets to the track, I had the track flipped and had the Velcro side of the Guide rails facing the wrong way. After mounting on wall over the door I went to hang the panels and that's when I saw my mistake. This was easy to fix in place I just remove the track end plate and then flipped the Guide rails around. Problem solved. The panels are a nice cloth material and let in light but blocks the suns rays. After hanging the panels we found that the bottom was about 4" off the Floor. This is not a problem for us and still very happy with this product. Took about 45 minuets from start to finish and My Daughter is very happy with them in her new home. They are very well made and easy to make adjustments if need be.

Cheaply built. The screws for the bars on the bottom were smaller than the holes drilled but because I already installed it I had to just put screws in it. The threads are already coming apart after one day. The panels come detach as I slide them to open or close. I painted my house and assembled it so I didn’t want to take the whole thing down and return it to risk pulling my paint off. Very cheaply made and not worth the price. If I would had known I WOULD not even pay $20 for it. I got ripped off for well over $100 on this item

Not as pictured
Doesn’t look like the picture at all. I purchased because of the colors of beige and brown. But the shades I received were all brown.

    Better than vertical
I really like them, they were not hard to put up. I know I've read some reviews stating ppl wish there was a valance included. I used an old vertical blind slat, since it was the perfect length and the left over cut material. I used the hot glue gun to wrap the material over the slat and then used velcro to keep it up. It does not compromise the functionality of the product. I've included a pic.

I have been looking for something new other than the traditional verticals. It make my room look bigger and shows off my accent windows. I have only had them for a month and they were easy to install. Love that I can move the panel to wherever I need them when dining and still get natural light.

I received a free in house consultation from a blind vendor (I will not leave their name) and the estimated cost was 1,600 for blinds and a valance. I traveled to Home Depot and with the help of a consultant chose the exact color and similar fabric as that of the blind vendor. These blinds were super easy to install and I found a guy to create the wooden valance at the top. The blinds were no more than $110 and to build the valance was$100. Talk about affordable home projects that are beyond expectations. I love this modern spin on vertical blinds.

We are happy with the quality for the price. They were easy to install. Reading through the instructions first and watching the online video at Chicology.com was very helpful. We decided to try them in our bedroom and are now going to order them for our family room. They look very clean and streamlined. The only difficulty we had was with the screws that go into the track and then into the L bracket. We were unable to use a regular screwdriver and luckily our neighbor had a power screwdriver which worked perfectly. The middle screw provided is longer for some reason which caused it to stick out above the track so we did cut that off to be more esthetically pleasing. :) Even with the little glitches we are very pleased.

I was a bit intimidate when my box arrived & waited several days before attempting assembly. I loved the color of the shade-much prettier than when viewed online. With courage mustered I did master the mounting. Twice I was sure I was short parts, each time discovered the marvel of the packing technique! Everything was there. It did take another pair of hands when attaching to the ceiling. I took more then 30 minutes as the video indicated, but now that I have done one mounting 30 minutes is reasonable. The clean look is amazing. This east facing french door covering has just the right amount of opaqueness. I am completely happy.

        Great Vertical Blind Upgrade
We have two sliding doors that open to patios in our back yard, and with two young kids and two energetic dogs the vertical blinds over these two doors had taken quite a beating. The vinyl slats clanking together was loud, the pull cord was constantly tangled and left with slats keeping each other from rotating to a position where they could slide open. Eventually we just gave up and left the vertical blinds in the kitchen open and halfway slid closed to allow entry and exit without messing with them, but of course that is a horrible waste of energy in both the summer and the winter. Enter these miracle covering panels. They don't rotate, and the fabric panels stand up to being brushed up against much better than any vinyl slats could ever hope to. While I wish that the hardware was a bit sturdier and the fabric a bit heavier, these really do a great job covering a frequently used sliding glass door in a high traffic area. Installation took considerably longer than I expected, but mostly because I wanted to ensure all four panels were cut perfectly straight and level to each other. The result looks great, but still suffers because of the lightweight bases that cover the trim line. Our main complaint is the exposed tracks and hardware at the top, which was previously covered by a trim piece that does not seem to be available to match this set. Aside from the cheap trendy/modern look it prominently adds to our otherwise traditional décor, and somewhat cheap feel, this is a great improvement over the beat up vertical blinds it replaced. If a premium version with heavier weight fabric, hardware, and a trim cover for the top were offered, I would recommend that to every single person I know.

        Great when there up
Chicology Mountain Cordless Sliding Panel curtains are a great solution to slatted curtains for my door wall. The instructions could be a little more detailed. Putting on the guide rails gave me a little challenge. I had to trim off the bottoms. I laid them on the floor, marked the top one and cut all 4 at once. You have to be careful not to wrinkle or crease them. Very happy with light filtering. Very Stylish.

        Great Window Update
This Kansas Nature sliding panel track is a nice update and upgrade from my old vertical blinds. This is a large sliding window, so vertical blinds make sense. But they looked old and these new cordless sliding panels are great. When I decided to change out the old for the new, I did not realize until the old ones came off, that it was probably never painted under the old track. So out came the spackle and paint for around the inside of the window area. Not to mention taking the drapes and shears down to wash them as well as washing the windows. So finally got to installing the new panel tracks. The assembly and install was pretty simple to do. First I snapped on the guide rails on to the slider clips. They were labeled very well. Then I determined that the track would be mounted inside the window frame like the old one was. I used the ceiling mount instructions. Upon extending the track on my window, the track was a few inches short without pulling the track apart. So I left a little on each side of the track. There were three screws that went in to hold the track to the top of the window. Now it was time to measure and hang the panels. There is velcro on the panel tracks and the top of each panel. Before cutting, I hung one panel up to see if it would look good hanging to the floor like the drapes. Well, since the window sill sticks out, they did not hang right. So, I measured and cut to the sill. Then attached the included bar and rail with tiny hex nuts to the bottoms for a finished look and some weight to keep them hanging down and not curling up. Even thought these panels may have been for a patio or french door, since my window is so wide, it made sense to use these as the length could be adjusted. These panels are made of a man made material in a sand color with a basket weave pattern. When closed, they let in filtered light but give privacy.

Great look for the price, cheap feel
This setup looks great and was easy to install. By far the cheapest panel shade I was able to find. And it does have a cheap feel to it. The panels are very lightweight. The slider bracket is cheap feeling and light weight as well and I feel like I have to be very careful when opening and closing or the whole thing will come apart on the wall. Opening and closing the panels is a little awkward. There is no stick to pull the shades open or closed and only 2 sections are actually connected so when you grab the first panel and pull, it only brings one other panel along with it and you have to grab the 3rd panel to close as well. I was not aware of/did not think about this when I bought (keeping in mind that this is the first panel shade I have ever bought). The set does not include a valance to cover the slider bracket so the bracket, connections, and mounting screws are exposed and unsightly. But, you get what you pay for, although at around $100, I wonder if this was a little overpriced.

cheaply made, plastic parts in headrail Broken
It took me weeks to decide to buy this, after purchasing two other sets of plastic or vinyl vertical blinds for our sliding glass doors. The blinds both had a horrible stink to them, and I already returned them. So, I purchased this with great hopes that they would be not stinky, sturdy and durable, pretty and updated looking, and I like the way they look in the picture, but the cheap parts that they’re made with weren’t worth $100 that we paid for them. I did an online order so I will be returning them to the store today.
