This is my second time using glass block. The first time I used individual blocks and the procedure was the same as for brick or cement block. Being inexperienced, my first installation took quite some time to get right. With this unit it was a simple matter of framing the opening, installing the block assembly and trimming it out. They look great and are a breeze to install.

Wanted to replace some old wood basement windows. Decided to go with glass block. These windows are premade and come in various sizes to fit your opening. Installation is extremely easy. Tear out old window, clean up your opening, place window in squarely and mortar the window in (many videos online). And the amount of light they bring to a once dingy basement is amazing. Will replace all my basement windows with these (some with venting) windows.

Silicon sealant between bricks and edges only- did not fill all voids between bricks. Assembly arrived split in the middle. Will acquire bricks and mortar for future efforts.
