  • Great Garage Storage

You know that area above your garage door? Wasted space right? WRONG! Use these to go from side to side and it is a perfect place to keep those Christmas boxes available and out of the way. Or, whatever you have that is light weight and just needs to be stored (part of mine is in boat life jackets, etc.). I'm a great fan of easy, CHEAP!, and simple to install. These go up fast, hold a great deal of weight (not that boat life jackets or Christmas stuff is heavy) and it is out of the way and easy to access. I'm in the process of going all the way around my garage with this shelving. I'd recommend (at least the over the door) storage to anyone. Took a friend & I almost two hours to put it up - with a break for a beverage - and it works great. My wife even thought it was wonderful!

We used 2 shelves zip tied together to create a full size door to keep our cats out of a room that no longer had a door. They are sturdy and a brilliant solution, since most gates are too short to keep a cat from jumping over.

I welded 2 of these together (side by side), got 7 angle iron pieces (medium duty) about 4 feet long. I cut one up into 1 foot pieces and screwed them into my garage ceiling at the proper places. I attached 4 of the pieces to the ceiling pieces and let them hang down. I then horizontally attached the 2 pieces to the bottoms of the 4 hanging pieces. I now have something that looks like 2 big letter Us. I raised the welded closet pieces and placed them on top of the 2 horizontal pieces. I now have a hanging ceiling shelf in my garage that I can store my Christmas decorations on. I bought the closet maid shelves about 2 months ago. Worked out perfectly.

  • great product but is a little pricy when you have to buy so many little attachments

Wire shelving is sturdy and holds up well. The plastic rod holders, not so much. Aside from all the brackets and add ons being extremely costly but must have to properly install a great closet system it is a good system. I still need many more small brackets etc. To complete my look but will have to wait due to price. Who knew a 5x7 closet would cost well over 400.00 and I'm not finished.
