Lasts forever

Durable, Elegant, and head turner

LONG LASTING

Memorable and Durable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having camped since childhood, "Coleman" to me has been synonymous to "Kleenex" with tissue. Back in the 1970s, anytime someone wanted a drink, you commonly heard, "Get it out of the Coleman" or "Light up the night with a Coleman". It was our household name.
The new steel belted cooler evokes and holds the same experience I had during my childhood only now my own kids are experiencing It! The cooler colds drinks nicely chilled for up to 5 days...ice water still keeping the drinks chilled. The downside however, is that the latch does not lock the lid down like the real classics did.

Best Cooler Ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a red steel belted cooler about 7 years ago. Although it has several "dings" and scratches on it, it is the best cooler I have owned. They don't make them like these anymore! They keep food and drinks cold and I am extremely happy with these steel belted coolers!

Lid broke and latch never worked not worth it
the latch on the cooler never worked seems like its there more for looks. The lid will open all the way around and ends up tearing up the lid and bending the hinges if this happens. definite design flaw. In the end put a little more with the money and buy a product that will last I have only had min a couple of months and now lid wont even shut. I love the looks of the cooler but thats about all it has going for it

Great Old School Cooler
This is a wonderful cooler that keeps ice. I bought it because my other cooler was just to heavy. It reminds me of my childhood as my parents had a similar Coleman cooler.

Poorly made with a ridiculous price tag!
I have been around this model cooler for about a decade and they keep getting cheaper and easier to break. Coleman as a whole does make products worth purchasing but this cooler is a flop. I wish people would stop buying this garbage cooler and read the reviews before having bad experiences later down the road.
I know the cooler looks appealing but it does not keep ice for a full day. The latch breaks after 6-8 months. The top will just fall out due to the moisture weakening the glue. And the patches that hold the lid on, will come loose and again another home repair.
I have a marine cooler made by Coleman and it is not only better quality but holds ice for 3-5 days easy. It I also priced around 80% less than this model so it’s unfortunate for aesthetics, this cooler is still on the market.

Favorite cooler
I own two of these and use them regularly. I have used them on 4-5 day camping trips in the middle of summer and only had to refill with ice once. If you properly ice down the cooler and put drinks in them that are already cold it will hold ice for 2-3 days. They aren't going to hold ice as long as the modern rotomolded coolers but they do not cost as much and aren't as ugly. Would give five stars but the latch isn't as reliable as the version my dad has from the 70s.

Best cooler in the game!
This is the most traditional and vintage look cooler you can buy!! It works so well. It stayed full of ice and super cold for our desert trip for 4 days. We never had to add ice! Best purchase!

A legacy renewed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to replace my OLD steel Coleman cooler with a closure lock that broke about 30 years ago, but it keeps ice for at least 8 days when I'm off the grid. I needed a new Coleman cooler that stands up to this reputation. EUREKA! This steel belted cooler lives up to its legacy! It stays cold over a week!

Pretty and does the job!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were camping and wanted a cooler for picnics. We bought the turquoise and placed ice in it the first night. During the week long trip, that ice lasted about 3.5 days. The cold water would have kept stuff cold for a while longer, too.

Love the retro cooler!

Good retro cooler to use in antique boat...
Would give it 5 stars if it had a bottle opener, like some other models...doesn't even have an option to easily install one aftermarket.
