The panel arrived with (5) 6"+ long voids, wide enough for the adhesive to show through. And there were another half-dozen cracks in various places. The opposite side veneer, not cedar, was flawless for some reason. Fortunately for me, I purchased this for drawer bottoms, so it is salvageable, barely. But if I had bought this to use as a show surface, it would have been an instant return. Will not be purchasing veneered panels from this company or Home Depot again.

Exactly what I was looking for to finish of a box.

At almost $20 per panel, you would expect it to be free from defect. But there was a 4 inch spot where the veneer was missing! What galls me the most is that the order fulfillment staff thought this was an acceptable product, good enough to send to a customer. Clearly HD has little understanding of what a good quality product looks like, or how to differentiate one from a product that is blemished. Because my project is time sensitive, I now have to figure out how to make this work. Thanks for nothing, HD.

This wood is very exotic to the color, and smells awesome. I did not like that its not double sided, When I looked at the pics, they had a pic of the backside. so i ordered and no, its only one sided, I love this wood.

Very frustrated. Ordered online. The good: Very well packed. Arrived on time. The bad: It’s cedar veneer and this piece had a large knot in it which meant the inside wood was clearly seen (and stained black). The edges were perfect on one end, but the other end were very raggedy. Cannot be used for the purpose it was purchased for

I ordered it to use as a cedar backing-board for the cube storage unit I also bought from Home Depot. Using the two products, I created a sweater-stacker ... easy to see and access all my sweaters separated by color, and each cube has the cedar-paneled back --- it works so well; am very happy!

Like the other reviewer said, the cedar veneer on this panel (only one side was made with cedar) is very thin - probably 1/8 of the 1/4" board I ordered (see picture), I'm disappointed at the quality.

Plywood was shipped to a local HD with no damage, all edges were usable. Cedar side was in good shape with a few knots missing. It served my purpose very well. Would buy again.

Had a few voids where the veneer had a knot that did not make it due to thickness which was disappointing because it was noticeable to me. Nice aroma. It was veneered on one side only. I will purchase again when I need it.

I've ordered two of the 3/4" thick 2' x 8' panels at this point and I love them. I ordered the first to use as the top piece of a desk I was building. I liked it so much, I ordered another panel to make several matching shelves. The aroma from the cedar is great, and it's a beautiful product. I'd highly recommend this product. Take advantage of the custom cuts offered by Columbia Forest Products. They offer precise cuts using a good blade that doesn't eat up the edges. On my second order, there was a slight miscommunication on one of the cuts, and Michael Hale with Columbia Forest quickly solved my problem. They have excellent customer service! I'll be turning to them in the future for further projects. the ONLY downside, is expensive shipping costs. But, again, this is a high quality product in my opinion. Both sides of the panels are beautiful.

The board was a little damaged in the corner. Fortunately I was able to cut that piece off as it was excess. It is quite a bit more reddish than pictured. It has the cedar smell that you would expect from piece of cedar. Overall, a good product for the price.

This wood was ok. I thought this would be a solid piece of cedar and it is not. It has a thin layer of cedar on the top and bottome of some other wood. It also has a lot of holes in the top layer where you can see the layer underneath. Overall for the price it was ok. Also be careful when you cut it and make sure to use a fine tooth saw because the top layer will chip easily. The top layer does look like cedar and it smells great.

The product arrived quickly and without any blemishes or dings........the scent isn't too overwhelming and worked well for a project humidor. I would recommend this product for anything that requires a cedar scented application.

This cedar veneer panel is 1/4” thick, 2-feet by 4-feet. It’s light and easy to handle. It gives off a pleasant cedar aroma, which tends to repel moths. I put it in a closet on the back of a shelf so it is four-feet wide and two-feet high and taking up just 1/4 inch of space at the back of the shelf, where we store blankets and sweaters. It was simple to install, and I think it will protect our blankets and sweaters somewhat from moths, which have been a problem for us. It would be relatively simple to empty the closet, remove the shelves and apply several 1/4” x 2’ x 4’ panels to all the walls of the closet with Liquid Nails or a similar adhesive, thus making a cedar closet. When the cedar aroma has dissipated, perhaps in a few years, I will apply some cedar oil to the panel to restore it. For now, it makes our closet smell good, and I believe that it helps to repel moths.

I was really pleased with the way the plywood project panel was packaged. It arrived in perfect condition.

I bought a wool sport coat some years back and it was ruined by a moth/moths before I knew it. I've been using hanging cedar blocks since then. Since I just invested in a three season wool suit and hate the smell of moth balls and didn't want to trust just the cedar blocks I decided to use cedar lining on my shelves and on the back wall of my closet. I looked at the packages of individual pieces of cedar closet lining and read the reviews and decided to go with these "handy panels" instead. Installing the panel was a breeze and I'll do the rest of the back wall of the closet soon because they smell nice and go up easily.

Very nice product easy to use. Created cedar closet. Cedar was clear and very uniform. There weren’t too many knots. Only wish it was all cedar not just a thin layer. I guess that’s what makes it affordable and it’s the top layer that counts!

Cedar closet planking for the ceiling worked great. Easy to cut with a sharp blade or little Japanese saw. Very light to hold up and nail.

Said we wanted cedar. They ordered laminate. Very expensive and doesn’t smell like cedar.
