Great quality pellet stove for the money. I was a bit hesitant to buy it online and have it shipped to my house. Zero regrets now. I love the eco mode feature that starts a new fire automatically while on temp setting. You can set it to 68 and it will light a fire as needed. Ash pan is large enough you only need to clean it out every few days. The room fan blows huge amounts of heat across your area. This stove puts out serious heat!

The most beautiful and wonderful pellet stove!
I have had this stove for four years. My previous stove by a different brand was so difficult to manage. So I know the difference. The Comfirtbilt stove is soooo easy to clean and maintain. I mean NOTHING like my other stove. The bay window is gorgeous and very easy to clean. I had to call customer service for an issue a they were very quick to respond and helped immediately. I can’t say enough good things and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these stove to anyone!

    Amazing stove
Had a bump in the beginning and comfort built quickly took care of it. Home depot was useless. So in the past I've owned stoves that cost twice as much and didn't perform as well as this stove. I would definitely buy another in the future.

      Expect some issues
This is our first pellet stove purchase for a 600 sq ft shop. Year one: The ash drawer is designed too short and ashes miss the drawer and pile up behind it. Comfortbilt says it's normal. Year 2: Burning pot has developed a crack. Only 1 year warranty on burning pot. New one $77 on sale because Comfortbilt has designed a new stainless steel burning pot that they claim will not crack $149. Since it is in our shop the stove only operates at most 12 hours a day here in Wyoming and the shop (600 sq ft) does heat up. But Comfortbilt's inferior design on these two basic parts make me wonder what we are going to be seeing in year 3?

        Bad hopper design
One third of the pellets get hung up in the hopper stove goes out. The techs say it a thorn in their side. They said try tape try silicone. It doesn't work. I would rather take care of 5 puppies. The fire goes out in the middle of the night. Maybe the manufactures should stay at my house and get up every four hours to fill it with pellets. It's a problem they admitted but do nothing so I'm stuck with a piece of ... Stove. Bad business. After this winter. I'm getting a reputable product. If I'm not to tired from baby sitting a hopper all winter

          Great stove
I purchased this stove a little over a week ago. It was easy to install myself the hardest part was getting the dampener adjusted just right the instructions are worthless. But now that I have it adjusted correctly man does it pump out some good heat and makes very little ash I highly recommend this stove. I will update my review as time goes on.

Got this stove 2 years ago now and it is everything we hoped for. We saw the great reviews, paid online, and prayed for the best. I was disappointed at first because when I opened it I noticed one of the door's welds came apart. And the outer shelf under the window had shifted out of center and I discovered a couple screws were stripped out. I called the company, told them the deal, and they sent some replacement parts including a new door which I installed. It's all fixed now and it will burn us out. When we first turn it on we turn it on high for about 30 minutes then we turn it down as far as it will go and it will continue to raise the temp for another hour or so after turning it down all the way. It's actually hard to keep the house under 75 when it's about 50 outside (CA cold). The fan is definitely audible but not disturbing. One might have to turn up the tv just slightly. It is VERY heavy and needed two large dudes to get it in the house with a big dolly. I love how easy it is to open the doors and get access to everything. I kind of wish they could have used some of that space to store more pellets as it holds one bag only. It burns about the same amount of pellets as our previous Austroflam stove. I almost never need to clean the window which is surprising to me. I also rarely need to clean the ash out of the tray or the pipe as it burns very thoroughly and has a huge ash drawer. Never once failed to start, but it will demand a 30 minute cool down if you let it run out of pellets. I wish it had a low pellet alarm, but it's not a big deal. Works better than most of the other stoves we've seen and is about half the price.

all, -this thing is well built and is heavy construction and is very cosmetically appeasing. and in the end was worth every penny. -we have a 2310 sqft garage that this unit heats, it can raise the temp from 56 degrees to just above 65 degrees in just over 2 hours, and when it is on high we leave it there and around 5 hours later we had to turn it down, the outside temp was mid-forties (it got the temp to 75 degrees and with the big ceiling fan going, it could've gotten hotter but this is really comfy in this big garage). - if you purchase thru home depot, go ahead and order the recommended duct kit and caulking that come with it. also, in the original tech man it did not state to apply the caulking inside each pipe joint and the pipes all had fiberglass in each joint, in the new tech man it did state to do this, so make sure you download the new tech man. my pipes all leaked even with the fiberglass so we disconnected them all applied the caulking...good to go. I installed 2 stoves here at home with no issues of leakage and without the caulk but these will require it. -like every other review stated too, the hopper with a switch on it so when you open to fill, it shuts the unit down.... bad idea. but if you are "creative" this can be ratified. -we have gone thru 4- 40lb bags of quality pellets this week alone, this is 2 hours each night during the week and 2 -12hour days on one weekend. I think once we figure out the feed rate selections we will be able to adjust this. -ok, the provided tech manual is disgusting. the one provided to us had font that went from large size to small sizes, pics were missing and it didn't explain in detail enough and leaves you wondering how to operate it. go to their website and get the one for your unit, we did and it was awesome compared to the one we received, it had the missing pics to show you what it does and so on. however, keep in mind that the LCD display it shows in it still isn't the one for our unit so some of the displays there we still are investigating as to what they mean/are. also, when you get to their site, my computer popped up a virus warning for the tech manual area, it seems erroneous as we went to it anyway with no issues. -we contacted customer service and they were friendly but they asked me to send an email with all of my questions, so we did, but no replies (it has been over 2 weeks now). the 2 phone #'s in the back of the original tech man were called and they were disconnected. but we came across a good # and proceeded from there. -cleaning is easy, we had issue with it not starting on first tries all the time but on second try it always did start. (still no replies from company here) so I had to sit with this over a period of week and just experiment with it, our issue was the inlet damper needed to shut half way as it was getting too much air and was putting itself out from too much air flow on startup.... -we still have no ideas as to how that feed flow section works as none of the tech manuals or their site say how to work this, only vague reference to it, so this is work in progress. but it a powerful unit when she is turned on. In-Closing: great unit, worth the money., 4 stars due to the tech manual issues

Bought this stove, had it shipped to store. It was packed very well, much lighter that the old steel stove we had. Drilled the holes or the wall exhaust with the kit, and or the fresh air intake. Stove Is sturdy, well built. I took approximately a little over 2 hours before lighting it up. This puppy puts out the heat! We placed it in the coldest room in the house, so keeping it 66-68 degrees keeps the temperature in the main part of the house a good 6-8 degrees warmer. Now we can keep the French doors open to the living room an the Sun room. Fans placed in the door of the sunroom on low circulates the warm air from the wood room into the kitchen and living room and on around to the sunroom. Awesome temperature control. I'd be surprise if the ash pan needs emptied any sooner than one month. I love the remote. I love everything about it . There is nothing to dislike about this stove. We have had It installed for 2 weeks. It's met our expectations more than we ever dreamed and we wish we would have gotten one 6 years ago. Comfort Build is the TOP RATED Pellet stove and customer reviews reflect this. I would recommend to anyone who wants convenient wood heat with the least amount of mess. No more cutting wood, no more dirty mess to clean up. MUCH less ash to take out. I'm so amazed everytime I look at this stove and see the fire and feel the heat. It is SO SIMPLE TO USE and KEEPS YOU WARM!! BUY COMFORT BUILT!!!

Puts out an abundant amount of heat, but had some installation issues related to misaligned holes to mount the control unit, and a misaligned hole in the back where the exhaust vent pipe is located. The vent pipe hole required me to remove that cover and use tin snips to enlarge the hole to accomodate the 3" vent pipe. Stove never really shuts down, it just reverts to the lowest setting when the set temp. has been achieved. Comes with a nice little remote control that my dog will probably chew...I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for those couple MINOR issues. Don't be afraid to purchase! I would buy another one! Toasty warm!

Excellent pellet stove for the price. If the controls were simplified and the pellet hopper door was bigger, I would give it 5 stars. The stove is quiet and heats very well. My wife and I are happy with our purchase.

                  Chinese garbage
I have had my stove less than 2 years. Bottom auger bearing started making horrible noise at the end of last winter. I replaced both bearings with a plastic washer on top of the bottom bearing to keep debris out of it. Working so far.. Burn pot full of cracks. CB won’t warranty it.. I had my Lopi for 15 years. Same burn pot. Replaced the auger after ten years. I only replaced it because it was old. I wish I would’ve replaced the igniter and kept it. Shame on me I guess

The stove works well when it works. Stove seems to be very picky about process during operation. If you open the hopper lid to check pellet levels while the stove is going it will cause auger to stop feeding and essentially puts the stove into a long drawn out shut down period that will not allow you to restart until stove is fully cooled down and shut off. I think the main issue here is that the hopper lid sensor is faulty and inhibits the functionality of the entire system. When stove arrived the entire top plate of the stove was shifted about an inch to the side which I'm assuming has damaged the lid sensor in some way. I have been using the stove almost daily for about a month now and I am impressed with the amount of heat it puts out, I'm just not impressed with the amount of effort it takes to get the stove to function correctly.

You are the "labor" part of the labor warranty.
Purchased right from Comfort Bilt not Home Depot. The HP22 had issues from the time it was first started. First agent said WE had to buy a thermostat. Second said the same and that we were doing something wrong. Nowhere does any ad say anything but the pipes to install would have to be purchased. We purchased an Alpine 40 and the 22. Both had issues. After several calls and hours of time the Alpine works at an acceptable level but still not perfect. I told the rep that my wife and I are disabled. Both in our 60's and it is hard for us to work on these. Rep still sends parts and asks us to do the repairs. Now I have put my back out trying to work on their unit that has a parts/labor warranty. I see a doctor's appointment and legal help in the near future. We are lucky and have in house legal help most folks don't. Cold and these non-working units have eaten up 2 month worth of fuel in about 3-4 weeks. We cannot leave them burn overnight or when gone out of fear they will start a fire. The Hp22 will not stop running and gets hot beyond the limit if the temp gauge. So I am left running the electric heat these were meant to supplement. Keep in mind if you buy these YOU are the warranty. Attorney General/consumer affairs/our attorney are next.

I ordered this pellet stove on 1-14-24. It was installed on 1-19-24. It has been running for less than 2 days and it is grinding and squealing. I researched to find out that this is a problem with the comfortbilt pellet stove. The bearings in the auger go bad. I sure hope this isn't the problem, being that it is a new stove. It was bought in 2024, but it was a 2022 model that was sent!

Stove arrived banged up but nothing a few adjustments wouldn’t fix. Combustion blower was knocked out of alignment preventing spinning during initial starting attempt. Once that was discovered stove works well. The hopper does not completely empty due to pitch design but generally a great stove.
